From the very first visit, the team at Atlas actually listened to me. They took the time to properly evaluate my condition and identified what was really going on. In just three weeks, my symptoms have improved. My physical therapist prescribed targeted exercises that have made a real difference, I can already straighten my leg more than I could before, and the pain has noticeably decreased. They also incorporated dry needling into my treatment, which has been a game changer. If you've been bounced around or felt dismissed by other providers, I can't recommend Atlas enough. I stopped going to this clinic because of the lack of care provided and the disrespect surrounding my injury. This was over 6 months ago, and now they charged my card $243 without warning or consent. No itemized statement or any communication about the charge was ever made despite there being strict laws about this type of practice. Bad experience with therapist at Denver Central Park Atlas PT who had multiple patients simultaneously and didn't pay attention to any of them; she was more interested in chatting with fellow therapists. Worse, she didn't follow doctor's PT orders that specified "no strengthening" and so caused injury to me. I cancelled all remaining appts over the phone with the front desk well prior to 48 hours and yet they billed me. I've submitted credit card dispute and will alert insurance company to erroneous charges. read more

Give them no stars. Beware of cancelling if it's not within 24 hours even if you show up they will charge you $75 dollars additionally your insurance will not cover for dry needling. They tell you that but they're lying so I had to additionally be charged another extra $60-70 dollar last week. You have to pay them right away before you walk out the door because they think you'll rob them. The lady with the glasses in the front super racist super rude ready to pick a fight. They try to get whatever money they can out of you and their exercises do absolutely nothing. Please go somewhere else where they won't scam you. read more

Not for me. Office staff and doctors are nice and seem competent etc. I got the advice and encouragement to actually do the stretches that I was looking for and seem to be working. I won't be back because not only does Dr Lanton not work with insurance, he's not covered by my plan. I also won't return because I'm skeptical of chiropractic and cupping, and needling. That's why I chose a PT, not DC. I've had PT before and expected guidance and direction for stretching, and some massage. I got that. Top Notch! I think it is more important to get the right PT therapy than the surgery. I did. Atlas PT, Dr. Alex, and team (mainly Taylor) did an amazing job of progressive PT. Amanda was great! She helped me with my lower back pain with various types of treatments (dry needling really helped my back). I didn't think my back could get better having a toddler climb all over me all the time, but it turned out some exercises targeted to my hips and back were the trick. I had an initial evaluation here and got some exercises to do, but decided to find another PT. I provide this feedback to help others who might find the concerns I had valid to them. This also only applies to the Stapleton location. Firstly, the staff were friendly and seemed to have a good rapport with each other. This is based on the conversations they had with each other. However, since the office is essentially a single room and all the employees and some patients get involved, it's hard to escape the conversations. As I have sensitivity to noise, particularly talking noise, I had a hard time relaxing in the office. The office is small. The waiting area is right by the work out area and the tables are all in the same open area. There are individual rooms for consultations. I found it awkward that people were doing their exercises right behind me while I was checking in/out. Other patients were right next to me when I was doing exercises and I nearly hit one because he came right behind me to get something. It felt like everyone was on top of each other. I couldn't relax. The therapist demonstrated the exercises she wanted me to do, but then didn't stay to make sure I did them correctly. I can understand her doing that after I've been doing the exercises for a couple weeks, but for the first time doing them, I feel more comfortable having the therapist watch to make sure my form is correct. Overall, I couldn't relax because of the noise and tight space; and expected some more time with the therapist. read more

I referred myself to physical therapy to help manage pain with Invisalign given my TMJ. And, it was an absolute pleasure to be partnered with Andrea Guevara, PT, DPT. It's not easy to find PTs with knowledge of TMJ, and Andrea had experience from school as well as took the time to speak to her colleagues and network. I appreciated that she oversaw both my hands-on treatment and the exercise treatment for continuity of care. Plus, she was an amazing resource to share the latest science and discuss ideas for me to consider beyond PT when I meet next with my dentist and doctor. In fairness I had a decent experience with them last year for back pain but had a very bad experience recently. I went in for help with a knee injury and worked with a new PT who did not listen to me at all. He repeated back the opposite of what I had said to him when explaining my diagnoses (i.e. he said "because you only have pain while running...." I specifically told him it was hurting all the time). I requested an appointment with a different PT at the front desk at the end of this appointment but when I showed up, they reassigned me to the same new person without consulting me or alerting me before the appointment. I requested to work with who I booked with and the front desk announced to them both that I wanted to work with the other PT, not the one they had reassigned me to (very awkward situation for me). At the end of this appointment the front desk person asked if I had questions, and then redirected my questions to the PT who I said I did not want to work with. read more

I was pretty broken by the time I arrived at my first appointment. I worked the most with Kate over the 12 weeks that I needed "fixing". This included a period of time during which my symptoms were not improving, at which point Kate referred me for an MRI that completed the diagnosis of my lower spine as the root cause. And with the complete diagnosis, the PT attention and guidance adapted to speed my recovery. I will not hesitate to return for treatment, should my body call for help again. read more

Great physical therapy. I started coming here a month before I had ACL surgery, and worked mainly with Kate. She was great and gave good instructions. I then continued going for almost 6 months post surgery to regain full mobility and flexibility. Through the ups and downs of recovery, Kate, David and Haley were very helpful and motivated me to keep pushing myself. Towards the end of my stint there, they expanded into the office next door, which really opened the space up and allowed everyone to spread out. My only criticism would be that some visits were frustrating, as it was not always clear on which exercise specialist was actually working with me so I didn't know where my exercises were coming from. Hopefully with the expanded office, and more staff, that won't be an issue anymore. read more

I recommend Alex to everyone I know. I started going to him over 2 years ago when he was at the Capitol Hill location and I have stuck with him even though this new location is much farther away from my house (however it is a very nice building with a great view and easy parking). I have seen Alex for everything from whip lash to TMJ to hip surgery recovery and chronic back pain and have had great results every time. He really knows his stuff and keeps up with the latest research. He's also just a really cool guy. Atlas as a company is great too. PROS: 1. My PT Heather was great. 2. Location and parking 3. Easy to schedule appointments CONS: 1. There is a lack of professionalism in the office. Though I do appreciate a "happy hour" environment, I would like to be seen as a paying client. This includes the type of language being used. 2. The equipment available at the Stapleton location is minimal and often shared from one client to the next. In the 8+ times I've been there, I have yet to see anyone clean anything. 3. Very little privacy. For some this is acceptable, for others it is less inviting. 4. During exercises, the support staff will wonder off and not come back for a while. This is not a big deal in most cases, but having to wait around for additional instruction takes away from experience. read more

I have been working with Alex since my ACL surgery in December and he has been a G-d send. Not only has he helped me get my knee to a better place then it was before the injury; he has also helped me with some major back issues I had. He is great at explaining the reasoning and theories behind the different exercises and techniques he employs and is able to modify treatment really quickly.
