I had a great time at Blue Sky Puppies in Clearwater. My bf and I just recently moved across the country, we both have dogs back at home, but they're more of "family" pets so we couldn't take them with us. My bf has been stressed with work and I was bored so I was just online looking around for a furbaby for us to get once we're settled in; so, after work we decided to swing by to get our "dog-fix" and this definitely did! Although we weren't stopping in to get a dog, the workers were very kind. They allowed us to sit in a kennel and play with a few of their puppies. They were absolutely adorable! The worker that remained with us was funny and kind -- he talked to us about the puppies we were playing with, then we talked about our personal pets, showing each other pictures on our phones. Other workers would stop by where we were and they were all kind in greeting us as well. We would've liked to have our own personal time just hanging out with the puppies, just because I know my bf could use this time as like "dog-therapy" (like when they bring dogs to colleges) or just so we could relax and not feel watched, but we understood that they probably needed to supervise for safety reasons. The store itself was clean and well maintained! The kennels we're clean, and it smelled like cleaner -- so it reassured me I could sit in the kennels without worrying I'm sitting on dog pee or something. There were also bottles of sanitizer in each kennel which was nice to have nearby. We liked this place and will probably swing by to play with the pups! I purchased a Morkie from the Clearwater store two months ago. Was given the paperwork stating he was an F1 puppy whose parents were a purebred Maltese and a purebred Yorkie. When I took him to my vet he was given a DNA test and guess what? His parents weren't purebreds. They were both Morkies. And his grandparents were three Morkies and a Yorkie. Not until you get to his great grandparents was there a purebred Maltese, and there was just one. Ends up that my dog is 70% Yorkie, 26% Maltese, 2% Havanese, and 2% Biewer (the German Yorkie, pronounced "beaver"). So now I'm doubting if they told me the truth about what shots they'd given him... Even knowing all that I'd say he was perfect except for the GI issues he's had since I brought him home. That, and this "tiny puppy" that I'd expected to be a smallish dog looks like he'll be pretty close to 20 lbs by the time he's finished growing. All I'm saying is, Buyer Beware. read more

We spent $2000.00 on a shorkie puppie. that they promised us was a perfectly healthy puppy. and that she had a warranty that if she was sick that it would be taken care of as long as we went to their vet and followed the steps on the contract. Which we did to the letter the vet tells us the she has an inguinal hernia and will cost over 1000.00 to get fixed. I have email, called and faxed all the appropriate paper work and no response. I purchased a puppy from here and shortly afterwards I was at the ER vet with her. She came in as a code blue. They kept her overnight and determined she suffered from a life threatening liver issue. She needed a $9,000 surgery which wasn't a guaranteed fix and she might not make it through the surgery. I called Blue Sky and wasn't allowed to speak with the manager. I told them I was returning the puppy that night because I couldn't have taken it if she died at my house and I didn't have $9,000 for surgery. I had already fallen in love with this puppy and it was tearing me up. They refused to take the puppy back and I had to threaten them with the police. The ER visit was $3,000. I received a reimbursement by threatening a lawsuit. I received a refund of some of my money but it still cost me $1,500. It wasn't the money. They absolutely had to have known how sick this puppy was but sold her anyways. This was truly one of the most traumatic experiences of my life and just horribly tragic for the puppy. So I went there to blue sky puppies in Clearwater, and the puppies were absolutely cute, but in one of the puppies cages like there was poop in it, and I looked at the reviews for Orlando blue sky puppies in Orlando, and the reviews were bad, but this one it's a shorter drive because in Orlando it's a one hour eight minute drive if you live in Wesley Chapel but this is a few minutes shorter than Orlando, and the puppies were small but some of the dogs are so hyper and some are just chill so I recommend this place and I got no pictures. Beware this company sales very sick dogs from known documented puppy mills. I have clear evidence of this. The breeder they purchased my dog from is Levi Wagler with Townline Puppies in Indiana. Levi Wagler is documented on the 2019 Humane Society puppy mill report as being connected with mills and a CDC outbreak that made hundreds of people and puppies sick. This is all public record. We purchased an American Eskimo and have been dealing with a nightmare from day 1. He was sick the moment we took him home and still is today, 25 days later. The second day we had him he had a rectal prolapse where his insides fell out of his anus. We immediately took him to their vet (coastal animal clinic who is clearly on their payroll) where they diagnosed him with giardia. We went through a full round of treatment and he was still sick. Violent spraying diarrhea with blood in his stool for 25 days. We took him back to the vet again when it did not stop and thee days later he had another rectal prolapse occur that would not go in. We had to rush him to the vet ER on Father's Day and they had to perform emergency surgery. Now blue sky puppies is doing absolutely everything they can to dodge accountability and stand behind their warranty. They wanted me to sign a release if they paid me the $750 ER bill to release them from future liability and expenses. What a joke. They knew this puppy was sick without a doubt. I really wished I had read the 1 stars reviews because this is clearly a pattern and only a matter of time this moves to litigation and they are shut down. *******PARVO ALERT****** This location had a puppy in their store that was purchased on 1-2-22 and tested positive for parvo on 1-8-22 3 puppies were in direct contact with her on 1-2-22 that I can confirm and 2 others that had indirect Technically yea their guarantee will cover the costs at THEIR vet but it is very expensive so you can come to your own conclusion on that.. I still would have liked to know prior to buying my puppy she could have possibly exposed to this virus that WILL send your dog to the vet/hospital for a couple night stay or they almost always die. Their vet has a review from 2 months ago talking about an outbreak at this location so it seems to be an ongoing issue that they are aware of. If you scroll a little on their vets reviews you will see why I didn't take my puppy there and chose to pay everything out of pocket which is about 2,800 right now.. she is currently still in the hospital. Again I am fully aware I broke my contract but to me that's what was best.. I have very valid reasons for this choice. I feel so stupid because I thought this place was different but it's not I feel into the "no puppy mill promise" which is an actual joke I made the store aware and all they did was try to get me to go to their vet even offering to stay open 2 hours late for me to get there. They suggested I remove my dog from the hospital she was at and bring her to theirs in the middle of treatment.. When I asked about the dogs who have been exposed and their plan they went silent. I don't even think this place deserves one star ! I bought my Golden Retriever puppy from them Thanksgiving Day 2021 .They know how to answer the phone when your buying a puppy ! But if your puppy has a problem forget about it ! You have to fight with them by email only! ! I've been fighting with the warranty department for 5 weeks already .Now in order for me to get my money back I have to give him back .I have loved this dog for 10 months already ! But he needs surgery for hip dysplasia he also has severe MLP which also requires 2 surgeries for . Their offer was i can keep him and get 1/2 my money back .I would be on hook for theses costly surgeries with also requires a lengthy recuperation for each surgery .He would still always be in pain ! read more

Saw a puppy here early January she was still here this week. I took her home she had lost her hair and was covered in fleas. The dogs sit in their own feces. They are not walked or have treats and there is zero toys in the store. Owner doesn't even let employees play with dogs when store is empty. There is no way to contact management either. A horrible place. They promised a King Charles cavalier spaniel puppy for $1500 and even filled out paperwork in regards. However no one would give a copy of the paperwork nor ask for a deposit. After being told that there would be a delay in the dog being able to be picked up because of "earmites," the games started. No one would call and were evasive when called. Finally after being told that the dog was ready, we drove to get the dog and found they said the price was $2,995. The manager who gave her cell number was not helpful at all and said the dog was available for the $2,995 as opposed to $1500 as was originally posted. They were very uncooperative and evasive in regards to the price. It seemed like this was a bait and switch to offer the dog for the lower price but not get a deposit or give a copy of the paperwork and insist that the price was the higher amount. I would never recommend this place to anyone as they were dishonest and racist as well. They seemed to give preference to white people but partner who is a person of color and has an accent and who by the way is a 25 year US citizen they gave short shrift to. This place is a puppy mill! After you buy the puppy they want nothing to do with you. No way to call where you purchased the puppy. No way to talk to anyone about the puppy you have. The only response from the last hour of trying to speak to a supervisor is there are none available and I'll receive a call back when one becomes available. And I can email that response takes 3 to 7 business days. All I needed was the shot record for mt puppy that I must have dropped out of the folder bringing her home with my 3 kids. I did so much research thinking this place was safe. Only to find out from every shelter I speak to that blue sky puppies buys from 3rd parties so no way to no what happens to get the puppy there. And I didn't believe it, they were so nice and communicated so well. Until after I purchased, 30 days later at our first appointment and was charged a 25$ late fee for spending 30 mins trying to find medical records. And my "free visit" they can't do anything without having some information on her...and i had to lay for them to do nothing.
