I saw Davonna for corrective therapy for a nerve injury  to the femoral nerve.  I had a kidney transplant and due to the lengthy positioning of my hips as well as the clamping on the psoas muscle to hold my abdomen open to place in my new kidney it caused severe damage to my femoral nerve.  Post transplant I was unable to walk without the assistance of a walker. I had no flexion of the quadriceps, my knee buckled and I had numbness from the front and inside of my leg all the way to my ankle.  I saw a physical therapist for a few weeks with no progress.  That's when I contacted Davonna and began to do corrective therapy.  It was hard, it was painful but Davonna was very knowledgeable about working specific muscle groups to strengthen the weak muscles and elongate the very tight ones Within a week I was able to have enough flexion to push the gas pedal to begin driving and within another week I was no longer using a walker.  I'm healing more and more and though there is still nerve damage,  the mobility I have regained is priceless and I can't thank Davonna enough for giving me not only her time but her expertise in helping me when no one else could. read more

I have had MANY massages during my lifetime. I received a gift certificate to Blue Skyes for Christmas which is why I tried them out. It was an amazing massage. First, the decor in the massage room is very relaxing- some are just dark to set the mood but visually this was the most calming room I've been in for a massage. Second, Davonna is very knowledgeable. I had a therapeutic/deep tissue massage as I am always very tight. She was able to work on areas without being painful (which I have experienced with other therapists). She also asked me great questions to determine if there was something I was habitually doing to increase my tightness. I also almost fell asleep it was that good! Third, after my massage she spent some time going over certain stretches that would specifically benefit me. I appreciated Davonna's passion and professionalism. I love Davonna and her team at Blue Sky's Massage and wellness. I just completed the ionic foot detox bath and holy cow! I'd done the ones you leave on your feet overnight and had seen what comes out of the bottom of your feet from those but this was so much faster and I loved having Amanda there to explain the process and tell me what was happening and what each of the stages of the process were and what the colors meant. The setting was attractive and relaxing, with ample parking and an elevator. I had started a lymphatic drainage massage in a place in Scottsdale and it left much to be desired so I made an appointment here in Gilbert with Davonna and it was so much better. The waiting room area leaves something to be desired, it is shared with another company, some acupuncture group, and there was no one there to greet you when you walk in.
