The massage itself was just okay--not terrible, but definitely not worth the $100 price tag for a standard 60-minute session. That said, the quality of the massage wasn't even the main issue--it was the lack of professionalism and customer respect. I called ahead at 9:45 AM to schedule my appointment and arrived early at 9:42 AM. When I checked in, I confirmed that I had called ahead, and the receptionist proceeded to collect my payment upfront, which I understand is standard practice. However, immediately after my payment was processed, another customer walked in. She stopped assisting me to ask if he had an appointment, and her demeanor made it feel like she questioned whether I had actually booked mine. It was an uncomfortable start to the visit. The most concerning part happened after the massage. When I completed my receipt, I added a $15 tip, bringing my total to $119 with the card fee included. As I was writing, the masseuse looked directly at my receipt and told me, "That's not enough money." I was taken aback, because a $15 tip on a $100 service is reasonable. When I declined to increase the tip, her tone became aggressive, and she called another staff member to the front. That person told me I "needed to leave more tip." Only after reviewing the receipt did they realize the tip was $15--not $5 as they had assumed. At that point, I was given a quick apology, saying, "Sorry, I need glasses." By then, the situation had already crossed the line. Being pressured for a higher tip, spoken to aggressively, and then dismissed with a casual apology was both unprofessional and disrespectful. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and not put in an uncomfortable position over gratuity. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling more stressed than relaxed. I cannot recommend this place based on how customers are treated.

For 20+ years, I've been receiving massages, so when I say she is one of the BEST, I don't mean it lightly. Ms. Moore was kind enough to fit me in on a Sunday when I reached out to her on Friday, hoping that I could be seen as quickly as possible. After suffering a severe leg injury 7 weeks ago and practically being on bedrest this entire time, I decided it was time to treat myself and get some of my knots worked out. Ms. Moore asked what areas to focus on, then led me to the massage room. Right off the waiting room in her little cottage was where she led me. I was impressed at how large the room was. I'm not a fan of the tiny, cramped rooms that I've had other massages in. This is where my unbelievably incredible massage took place. Even though Ms. Moore had asked about my "problem areas" beforehand, she was so knowledgeable and in-tune with my muscles that she needed no direction whatsoever. Basically, she is magic, and her hands are like magnets that are drawn to tight muscles, knots, and pressured nerves. I had asked for a deep-tissue tissue massage, with increased pressure and, boy, did I get what I paid for! She didn't hold back one bit, always making sure that I was comfortable and aware of what, exactly, was taking place right under the skin. I can go on and on about her for days... The state of euphoria that I was in once we were done is something I'll never forget. Best of all, she was wonderfully quiet throughout our session, allowing me to focus on my breath and the calming music playing in the background. So, if you're on the hunt for a massage that will leave you spellbound, call Ms. Moore and head to her office at the end of Old Fannin Road, nar the reservoir. During tense times like these, we could all use 60 or 90 minutes of pure relaxation. Eclecius, the owner, called me 3 HOURS prior to my appointment to confirm. I was in a meeting, so he left a message. I didn't get a chance to confirm before he texted me 2 hours later telling me he didn't hear from me so he was cancelling my appointment!! I texted back immediately to say I was on my way and had simply had a busy day and no time to check voicemail yet. I arrived 5 minutes prior to my appointment to be greeted by Eclecius, who informed me that he scheduled another appointment and had been calling me "for days" to confirm. Odd, since I had only scheduled the appointment 2 days prior. My phone showed only the one missed call from him, 3 hours prior. He then proceeded to give me all kinds of excuses about how 'in demand' he is, indirectly blaming ME for the situation. If he had simply owned up and admitted that he had really screwed up, I would have been much more forgiving. I'm sure people do flake on him all the time, and that running such a business as his is difficult. However, I am not one such person and did not appreciate being treated that way. I am really angry that I cleared my afternoon for this appointment only to have it handled in such an unprofessional manner. He may well be a very talented masseuse, but I won't be finding out. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
