The Blue Spruce Maids did a great job, especially in comparison to who was there before them. After some additional construction, I called them to come out again and clean up the mess/dust left by the construction. **WOW!** The crew was Alisha, Eileen, Brittney, and Shannon and they did a fantastic job. They even let me know that there was a high window that they couldn't reach and so they scheduled a time to come back later and bring an extension to make sure that one was cleaned as well. That is customer service at its best! Even my realtor was impressed with the job they did, and she hires a lot of different cleaning companies. Shoutout to Rebecca specifically as she does a really thorough job and it's clear she cares about the work. One small note: the arrival time isn't always perfectly consistent and sometimes the cleaners show up a bit earlier or later than expected. That said, I appreciate that they text an estimated ETA, so it's never a total surprise and I can plan around it. Cleaning service was great, but for $116 per hour (for 2 maids) its not surprising. These guys are charging Corporate Molly Maid type prices for basic cleans. You are hiring smart detail oriented folks. If your second home is in Breck or Vail these are your ladies. Homeadvisor, Thumbtack, or just looking further on yelp you'll find the going rate is $35 per person per hour for smaller cleaning companies. I did not like getting a call mid-clean being poached to approve more time/money for the scope of work that was originally agreed. Owner was nice, took the time to pitch us, he accepted the job, but clearly our expectations were far. Sometimes if you bite off more than you can chew, you take it has a learning lesson offer a one time concession, save face, get it done right, and move on. The intentions of this review is not to seek a refund nor to bash the company, but simply a cautionary review for those who want to hire the company, to help them avoid the pitfalls that caused my experience to be so disappointing and perhaps to alert them of the importance of clear communication. The company can continue to avoid taking responsibility or simply push blame back on the client if they wish to as they already did after the initial posting of this review The girls that visited were great, they were courteous, detail oriented and super patient with some of the tedious work. I would work with them again in a heartbeat. However, the experience was mismanaged from the start by the main office. I agreed with the company on a 3pm start time during the first call, and 3-4 man hours with 2 technicians. I shared on call most of the tasks that needed to be addressed, mainly the ones that were most time consuming. I also stated on call that I'd review their checklist available on their website and would send an email listing all my items even though the company rep said i didnt need to, i wanted it in writing. One of the items was the space above the kitchen cabinets, stating on call it was on the top of my list. I emailed 2 days later the list and after some email exchanges, we switched to a 2pm start time and 4-6 man hours to give the 2 technicians enough time. Day of - When i called at 2.10 wondering where the team was, they said they originally quoted a one hour arrival window ie theyd arrive between 2 and 3pm but that they'll make sure the girls stay until the list of tasks agreed on is addressed. I would have remembered a mention of arrival window especially one thats an hour long. In fact all emails from them stated we would start at the time booked without any indication of any arrival window or risk of delay. I have 3 emails from then all with the same verbiage of "we will arrive at xxx" and "arrival window of 3pm" (no real time window). but anyway, due to scheduling issues experienced and the major delay in start time, they sent 3 cleaning technicians to try to still meet total hours booked... the first person arrived close to 3pm, another showed up about an hour after that and the third showed up 2.25hours after the original start time. No calls from corporate acknowledging the inconvenience caused or that they wont let them stay until all the work is done as they told me on call earlier that day.. add to it, onsite, they said they cant address the space on top of the kitchen cabinet because it was too high. I was ready to end our session right then and there with all i had to deal with already. One of the technicians graciously contacted the company and asked permission to address it since it was top priority and was preagreed upon. Frustrating but we were able to move forward after that hiccup... then i was told we had to wrap up before all the work was done because they reached end of day's shift and were told by corporate to leave. They logged a total of about 5 hours, thanks to the 3rd technician they sent out. We would have had 6 hours and would have addressed everything if the schedule was adhered to. The company offered to send another crew out another day, but that would have only inconvenienced us further in that we would have needed to make shifts in our work schedule to accommodate and we just didnt care for it since we did not cause the issue in the first place. Again, wonderful girls with so much care for attention but I wouldnt work with the company again and more so after their review of the initial experience review we'd posted. I've had two services over the past 3 months and BOTH teams were spectacular. My house is just large enough for me to not want to clean it on my own, and after having a roommate move out, I was ready for a deep clean and fresh start. Blue Spruce provided me just that! One other thing that I appreciate about this service is how easy scheduling is--they text me the week and night before to confirm my appointment and it's not an automated text (which means you can reply and reschedule, ask questions, etc.) This makes it super easy to know when they are coming and adjust the date if need be. They text when they are on their way the morning of and are extremely reliable. My first team included Jamie, Dominic and Patricia and my second team included Alaina, Mike, and Dominic. Both teams wore masks, were super communicative (both before for scheduling and during the process as I have been working from home and they wanted to ensure my office was clean before they left). We hired a cleaner today for a 900 square foot apartment. Their minimum was 3 hours so I figured that was more than enough time. Keep in mind, I can clean the entire place in under two hours (kitchen, bathroom floors, countertops). The cleaner was nice but after 2.5 hours I texted and she still needed more time. It took just over 4 hours and the cleaning wasn't finished. I noticed that the lady was taking her sweet time and essentially milking the clock. Their service is charged was $135 for 3 hours plus $45 per hour thereafter. There was zero sense of urgency or work ethic. The areas that she cleaned were nice, but had I known it would take that long and be charged extra for a less than full clean, I would have done it myself. This has me dumbfounded how it can take so long to clean a small apartment. I'll be using someone else from now on. read more

This company had a 4.8 rating and based on that we hired them to clean an empty condo. They said a crew of 3 would do so and the cost would be between $450 and $600. The unit was in excellent shape and we emphasized we were also interested in detailing the condo. First, only 2 showed up (they claim a 3rd showed up later but the 2 who did show up never mentioned this nor we we around once the 2 started). They took less than 3 hours and informed us they were charging us $575. My husband inspected the condo and called me saying there were lots of places that hadn't been touched. There was also no "scent" of a place that had been thoroughly cleaned. The unit is a 1 bdrm 906 sq foot condo and charging us $575 was exorbitant, especially in light of the quality of work done. They sent some people out the next day while the carpets were being cleaned to clean all the places that were overlooked. After that we have up as there are still spiderwebs in some corners, vents that are filthy, and as my husband says "it still looks like I cleaned it." They still wanted to charge us the $575 and after a long discussion agreed to "only" charge us $450.00. This was about $425 more than what it was worth. read more

They got the house looking so clean and new using a very thorough checklist. We tried this company because the reviews were so good but.... dust under the tables. Floors (which are wood) were poorly cleaned. Dust on lamps. Just not in any way worth nearly $300! If it is possible I would like to rate 6 stars to Blue Spruce Maids. My property has heavy dust and some dirt on the surface that can be hardly removed. The cleaner removed the dust in every corner carefully such as the leaf of the fan on the roof, the upper part of the kitchen cabinets, and every drawer of the bathroom and kitchen cabinets. The cleaner cleaned the dirt to the best they can. After several hours, my property looks brand-new. What is even more, my window blind was found broken and the cleaner fixed it!
