Let's call the first one masculinity issues...I won't go in depth on that, but I think most men get it. Women will think it's stupid because they have things done that are way more intrusive. The second one was fear of the results. I've lost friends to cancer, I've seen others fight it and recover, and I know people who live with it currently. It's never a good thing. I started a clear liquid diet at 500 pm on Wednesday. I drank the first half of my prep from 400 pm - 600 pm on Thursday. I had to get up and drink the rest of the prep at 245 am - 445 this morning. Lots of trips to the bathroom and a couple rolls of toilet paper. Drinking the prep was the worst part (and not eating real food for 40+ hrs). I didn't flavor it or anything. It's a little thick and best chased with some water. Check in at 715 am and the procedure was scheduled at 845 am. During the check in you get undressed, gowned up, and they start a fluid IV. Vitals check. In my case they asked a lot of medical history questions at this point too. When it's time you walk to the procedure room, you lay down and they go over the procedure with you, and then the sedation is started. The procedure takes 15 min to an hour or so. Mine took less than 30 min...I think. I don't really remember anything that happened in the procedure room after the doctor (Dr He) discussed the procedure with me. I thought I'd be in a semi-conscious twilight sleep. I was completely out. I don't remember anything until I was in recovery. You are required to have a driver because of the sedation. I'm glad my gf was there because I don't even remember some of what was said in recovery. I had no discomfort. Then you get dressed and go home... We were in the car by 1000 am. Bottom line it really wasn't that bad and I'm not sure why I was so worried. If you suffer from the same fears that I do/did. Don't. Having fears is normal and okay, but don't sacrifice your own health because of them. It's a necessary screening process as we age. Oh by the way. Clean bill of health. No polyps... The service I received from everyone here was no less than stellar from scheduling to intake to recovery. A real class act!

They have a free charging station for phones near the TV on the far end. Several TV and chairs spaced out throughout the first floor. Restrooms are not clearly found if not looking for them. Also. The suites are not readily visible all the time. Look up and you'll find the suite numbers hanging most of the time, but I wish they made it a little more obvious. After the procedure, I was able to enter the office and stay in the recovery room with the patient. Staff inside were exceptional and very attentive. Update from doctor was brief but informative. Nursing staff did a great job at discharge and prepping us for at home care.

My therapist, Lindsey Meyer, PT, DPT, is personable, professional, and obviously very knowledgeable. Over the last two weeks, she has helped alleviate my pain and I continue to see progress. Lindsey has given me exercises to use at home, as well as recommendations for over the counter items to help cushion my heel. I am very pleased and would highly recommend using this facility and Lindsey in particular.

I really felt like Jon, the owner and therapist cared about my recovery and getting me back to my performance goals. Though his business also houses a massage therapist (that I also recommend) and a personal trainer, he treats 1 patient at a time and uses a variety of tools and equipment to deliver high quality care. Our son has worked with Jon at Optimum Performance Physical Therapy on a couple different occasions…read moreto help him recover quickly and safely from triathlon and swimming injuries. Most recently, our son did something to his shoulder during this year's high school swim season...this took him out of the water for 5-6 weeks because he could not lift his arm in certain motions or swim his workouts without significant pain in his shoulder. He was evaluated by a couple different orthopedic doctors, both of whom thought our son tore his labrum in his shoulder...a condition that often results in surgery to fix the problem, with several months plus of rehab after the surgery. Getting this news right at the start of swim season was devastating, to say the least. We did a special MRI of the shoulder joint, and upon evaluating that, it was discovered that there was no tear of his labrum!! Great news, however, our son was still having tremendous pain with certain common movements of his arm, shoulder and even pushing down with his hand at times. We opted to get a steroid shot into that inflamed area of the shoulder joint space and to start extensive physical therapy in order to try to get our son back in the water, as he REALLY wanted his high school swim season and was super frustrated and defeated by this setback. Jon was our "go to" guy for these sessions of physical therapy. His hours worked best with our son's hectic schedule and we trusted him from working with him for past injuries. Plus, you just can't beat Jon's professionalism, compassion and genuine interest he takes in you as a client, but more so, just as a person. Jon was able to work 2-3 times a week on our son to try to get him back to functioning without pain and back to swimming. Jon simply went above and beyond by trying different things and exercises on him...he even loaned us a piece of strength training equipment to help get our son's shoulder stronger. I'm happy to report, with Jon's help, our son was able to get back in the water for the later portion his high school swim season. He ended up having to switch gears physically (and mentally) to sprinting events instead of his usual distance events, because of not being able to swim longer distances due to shoulder and arm fatigue. However, even with the event changes and mental changes that went on, our son ended up qualifying for State in all four of his events!! We didn't know if he would be able to get back in the water this year when all these shoulder issues started happening, let alone make it to State. Our son even ended up being part of a relay team for his school that broke a 22 year old school record!! So exciting!! BIG THANKS to Jon at Optimum Performance for supporting him and not giving up on him in the process...and of course, for helping us avoid shoulder surgery, too!! We appreciate everything that was done and highly recommend Jon's work and expertise.
