I left one day and shortly after I got a call from one of my therapist from there Rose, I was done on the machine and she was busy with a couple other clients so I just left, she called to make sure I was okay and to say sorry for not being able to talk to me before leaving. They are truly the biggest blessing. I will happily speak with anyone about how great the services have been and provide a glowing recommendation. They have both done so much more than occupational therapy for my dad. Below is a list of just a FEW of the many things they have done for us: - Occupational therapy - Physical therapy - the best physical therapist we have had by far (Kassi) - Connected us to virtual therapist - Connected us with an extremely affordable elder care attorney - Referred us to payees/money management assistance - Speech pathology - Connected us with other elder care management resources that would assist me as a caretaker - Signed my dad up and got him approved for a grant to upgrade home like making bathtub ADA compliant - Connected us with PACE which is like Elderly Care Waiver but they also manage doctor's appointments - Joined my dad on doctor's appointments and gave me updates - Home assessment and recommendations/help making mobility improvements - Christmas gift program where volunteers "adopt a senior" and provided amazing gifts two years in a row - Free webinars from resources like elder care attorneys about Power of Attorneys and things like that. - Connected us with OT resources and free support for my nephew who has autism. Then they went above and beyond even more!! I was asking them to do things that I knew wouldn't be covered by insurance as occupational therapy. Basically I needed a stand-in for me, someone who would cover the things that fall through the cracks and aren't covered by a specific home health provider. They created a private pay program and allowed me to request help on random things that did not fall under the OT/insurance umbrella. For example, they joined him on a succession planning meeting with an extended family member so that he had support. They helped fix Alexa gadgets and let me know when the A/C wasn't working. Honestly I should have had to pay Sydney for being MY mental health therapist as she was such a moral support when I was overwhelmed. Sydney is like the daughter I wish I could be haha. Emily is her protégé and I love them both. Soooo many other things that I will probably need to write another review as I think of them. We used SO many CDAC and home health companies over the last 2 years, Happy at Home is by far the best and we use them consistently even while we had to use the other companies to supplement services for whatever reason. I definitely preferred all the partners contracted through Happy at Home. We are now ready for assisted living and I hope we can continue to keep Happy at Home involved in our care plan. I went into my bedroom to get something & Karen followed me in. I told her my bedroom is a private area. The 2nd time Karen came she stood at me bedroom doorway & said "I see you made your bed today." I again told her my bedroom was private & I closed the door. Without permission from me she went into my bathroom & was laying down sticky-strips in my tub. I'm not a dirty person by any means but I would have liked to wiped down the tub first. The strips a few strands of hair under them, that I couldn't get out. Karen didn't wash her hands first so the strips were dirty. Karen put in the handle bar toilet helper & it was wobbling, loose & dangerous. It doesn't look that way, in the picture they used on their website, with out my permission. Karen came over without an appointment at 4pm wanting to come in & help me. I told her no. After I told them, I did my best with her but vwe just didn't suit each other. Sydney came over with the Nurse Linda. We talked about my needs & the Nurse Linda & I made an appointment. Linda contacted me about a week later to set up an appt with me.I said we made an appt. & I told her the date & time. I also said, I like my appts in the late mornings as I get high anxiety waiting until later. Linds said she gets high anxiety when she has to change people's appts. We made an appt. When she & Sydney were in my home. 2 days later I recieve a text from Linda (not for me) she was asking someone "Is Catherine that crazy lady in the apartments?" Even if Linds wasn't referring to me, she was still calling a client "crazy". This is unprofessional at the least. Linda is a registered nurse & should not be working with the public. Especially with older people like me, who can have anxiety or dementia problems. Well, long story long. Don't put your care or a relatives care in the hands of Happy At Home Consulting. I won't. Thank you for listening. I would put Negative ZERO Stars but, you have to give at least 1.

I have been a patient of Blue Stone physical therapist, Hannah, contracted through the Aspen…read moreTherapy and Wellness Center in Amana, a number of times over the past couple of years and have been very happy with her and my results. Five stars! It was also a pleasure working with the folks at Aspen. Recently however, right about the time I was needing to go back for more physical therapy, I learned that Blue Stone abruptly took over the booking and billing portion of their services from the Amana Aspen Center. Unfortunately, this was where the Blue Stone administration and handling of customer service failed miserably and I would not recommend them. A couple of reasons. One, the booking and billing was given to a Blue Stone physical therapist, who was appeared inexperienced on the administrative/billing portion of the business process and was struggling with the customer service piece. Perhaps because she was juggling too many tasks. Second, Blue Stone has micromanaging rules they want their patients to adhere to, which while most of it was somewhat normal, I drew the line at asking for my SS number because it was superfluous. They already had obtained all the data they needed. (You are not legally required to give it and I did not) And finally, when told I needed to sign additional documents, I asked that they be emailed to me so I could look them over before my appointment. I then got an email from a different company Blue Stone had contracted, asking for me to enter more of my info plus a password before I could see the document I had to sign. When I asked again if they could just send me the documents, I got a note back from the contracted company telling me I had to talk to the therapy team. What? I thought I did. Based on the number of red flags that kept popping up, I canceled my appointment with Blue Stone. In summary, for a small Iowa based company with only 100+ employees, I'm disappointed.

Ever since my son was little there had always been something about him that I was worried about. At…read morethe age of 2 he would go outside and just go buck wild about how the house would catch on fire from a little girl we would have in our backyard for s'mores. Then after a long day of school her would come home and want to have a treat and go outside in the backyard and play. Moments later I would hear slamming and yelling and I would see this 5 year old throwing around the grill. I had taken this little man to therapy, Counseling, kinetic Edge. Nothing seemed to help. There father and I separated and then divorced. 2 year after the divorced happen some major things happened and that cause there father to go to prison. I was at my wits end with him and not sure what to do. I was talking to a lady from where I had been working at that time and told me about Brain Balance. So I didn't waste anytime I called and mad an appointment. When they tested him nothing really made sense but was sad for him and they offered us a couple different packages. I chose to do that one on one with my son so he didn't feel like he was doing this all on his own. They walked us through how to do all the exercise's and then we took some time trying to figure out where would best be fit we do these exercises with him and not him feeling like everyone was watching him and making fun of him. So we chose to do it in the evening time when everyone was off to bed. My son hadn't even been at it for a year and they wanted us to come back and test him to see how things have been. His scores went from 40-75% up to 100%. I never imagined how much these exercise would help him in his daly. My son can now walk away and take a breather without pretty much freaking out. There are so many anythings he can do now that I've seen him grow from this program. I have two other kiddos that I will be trying to get in and tested to get them on the right track. The workers are absolutely amazing. Also checking in making sure if we needed anything. If something ever came up they were always very helpful to my self and my son. I can't wait to bring his sisters here and have the same experience he had that they will have.
