Yelp asks what could improve?…read more Well, for starters my now wife and I booked an elopement package here. We booked the Tier Two package as we thought it was the best value. Based on what we saw on their website it looked amazing! Unfortunately after the experience it felt extremely over priced. We were under the impression the manager Cheryl was going to be there and was assisting us with any questions or issues that came up leading up to our special day and then the day before found out that she was on vacation and Jen would be helping us. Upon checking in we went to our room the "Lucinda's Suite" which by the name sounds great. The room itself was large and rustic which isn't bad and was what we were looking for however when i went to use the shower i barely fit never mind the shower head was at my chest level. I'm not a tall person either. On Saturday the day of our "special day" we went to the included breakfast which was nice but were left wondering what was going on for our big day as we were introduced to absolutely no one and told nothing besides a time to show up. When my wife and I went to the gazebo where the ceremony was to be held it was a rough site. Paint peeling, rotting floor boards and things of that nature, not something you're imagining to take pictures in on your big day. As we sat in our room we watched as they decorate led the gazebo...with a table and a table cloth. About 30 minutes prior we were finally introduced to Jen and our Photographer Greg. The best thing i can say was Greg was truly an amazing photographer and did the best he could with our photos. He honestly made the day for us a lot better with his energy and his enthusiasm. After it all we decided to just cut our losses and go home even though we had paid for 2 nights. The 3 hour drive and staying in our own home sounded better. Overall if you're looking for a nice place to elope this wasn't it, as our day did not feel as though it was made very special. The absolute best part was the photographer Greg Nesbitt.

Our only complaint is people smoking outside of there rooms, ash trays full of nasty cig butts and the smell of cigs. There should be an area designated for smoking. We would stay again. I was meeting an old friend in the area and all I knew was that it seemed affordable, rustic, and a down-to-earth type of place. Just what I was looking for... a little getaway for some R&R on the lake! Pretty tired from the trip and as I started bringing in luggage I realize that the place was much larger than I had anticipated . ( I had spruce cottage 2 bd 2 bath& 2 screened in porches) It was very, very clean. And as I was starting to put some of my things away, I realize that all the bedding was new ... new towels. new ... cozy throw blankets all looked new. I always appreciate that kind of touch because once again I'm up here to relax so having a comfy bed with new linens, comfy throw blankets and comfy towels is a plus The lake is beautiful & there are kayaks and other water toys available at no extra charge. That's a plus . A lot of places will charge extra for those type of things but not here. There's also fishing poles if you're so inclined. My favorite was probably the deck that's right on the lake. The morning light is beautiful and in the morning the lake looks like glass. It's so serene . There's a grill that you can use so a couple times we had barbecues. There's also a fire pit. Amy is the woman who manages Glenmoore . She's a class act! She's so incredibly helpful & friendly! Anything I needed was tended to immediately with a smile on her face! She makes the place feel like home! I think Glenmoore has been around for possibly 100 years!! Wow ! I was in the main lodge & I was poking around looking at games etc and found brochures from a long time ago. It was so interesting to see this place that is so rich in history. Last but not least in the main lodge in the morning, Amy had made homemade banana bread. It was perfect with my morning coffee. After writing this wonderful review, I'm afraid that the next time I plan to go up there won't be any cabins available ! This is a win-win

Alicia and Kerrie have created a place that is based on extreme hospitality and such individually crafted care for each guest. We were able to cook a few meals in complete kitchens in our cabin, alongside Kerries famous bagels he served throughout our weeks stay. Fresh fruit and coffee were also provided every morning and coffee both hot and iced was available all day long. Lakeside we sat, swam, fished, boated and just relaxed. There's so many reason to support this wonderful couple and their business, but hospitality, would be the biggest reason I will site! We will be back and hope you will consider this amazing resort!! Only 15 mins from Lake George! You will not regret it!

This was my first ever stay at a bed and breakfast and this was everything I could have asked for. Anne & David were warm and welcoming innkeepers and their residence was clean, homey, even kitchy with old ski relics and pictures from yesteryear adorning the walls as decoration as well as a unique assortment of mugs available for coffee or tea left on a shelf for your choosing, a very simple but pleasing touch). It was pretty much exactly what I would have imagined a BnB to be in a northeast ski town. The hospitality was second to none - warm smiles and helpful local hints, great big breakfast with toast, fruit, with eggs, bacon, and sausage all from local farms. The cat was even friendly, who curled up with me as I worked to catch up on some business in one of the many open gathering spaces late at night. If you ask nicey, David might show you his ski collection or even take you out for a personal tour of the mountain (although he did say he rarely gives lessons anymore, but something tells me he's still game). I couldn't be more pleased, and I would go again without hesitation. My highest recommendation!

Hubby and I found this place on expedia for $70 a night and decided to try it. We were happy with our decision to stay here. The blair house is one of many mom and pop motels on the route 9 strip just outside of Lake George Village. Like many motels here your "room" might actually be a small cabin or a cottage. We opted for a king size bed so our room was actually joined with 3 other rooms (two on the bottom and two on the upper floor) in a combined cottage. Our room had a king size bed, a private bathroom, A/C, a television with a remote control, a mini fridge, a microwave and a keurig. I'm not a keurig fan but a keurig in your hotel room is actually pretty nice as most hotels with coffee pots do not provide keurigs. These extras in our room enabled us to visit the grocery store during our trip and stock it with some milk and extra drinks. We also bought our own k-cups and cereal so we could save on breakfast. During our stay the maintenance in our room was basic service. I think the family that lives in the office house and owns the hotel maintains the rooms so we were provide with fresh towels and extra toilet paper but our beds were not made. I am not complaining about this though as we don't make our bed at home so it didn't bother us. The keys are literally keys not cards that are now given as room keys in major hotels. The owners were very nice, we didn't have many questions for them but when we checked in they did tell us not to hesitate if we needed anything. I enjoyed the blair house and would come back again if we went back to lake george.

All of their cabins offer different sizes and amenities so based on what you or your family needs you will want to read the bookings and ensure you're getting what you need. Check in was smooth and painless and it's great you can check in until 9:00pm. Checking out was painless as well. They just ask you to keep it clean which isn't asking much. About a 15 minute walk into town but only a 1 minute drive. It is in a great location and suits all of your needs. Just beware if you are going with a large group - there is only one space per cottage for parking so make sure you follow this because parking is very slim. Definitely a place you should look into if you are visiting the area!

The Chest Cabin can fit up to 6 people. I only recommend stayed at Chest or Hickory Cabin. The Cabins further away from the lake is a bit scary as it gets pitch black over there and the cabin is not as nice. This place has the lowest price in Lake George area for our requirements. We required a cabin on a lake and dog friendly. It was about $100 a night for us. Keep in mind. This is a regular cabin and it's nothing fancy. You will need to drive to buy things. I'm leaving here in a day after 6 nights here and wish I could stay longer. Gary and Suzy never stop working. They are either out and about making sure the guests (and dogs) are happy or just making improvements to the grounds. It is right on the strip (Canada St.) yet quiet and quaint as if you were at a campground. I've been to so many hotels over the years coming to Lake George but I will only stay here. They are dog friendly which is great for us as we take our dogs with us. You wouldn't even know they are dog friendly by how clean the rooms are. I'm really going to miss being here. Best of luck to Gary and Suzy but they will do fine from what I saw. We will be back next year!!
