This is a wonderful B&B with spacious rooms, delicious food and in close proximity to downtown. We had the best time during our stay!

Just returned from a night at the inn and I couldn't be more pleased. As we pulled in we were kindly greeted by Jack (the innkeeper) shoveling away some freshly fallen snow. As soon as we entered the inn I knew I had picked the right place to stay. The property is magnificent, the inn is clean and decorated beautifully. We signed in and Jack helped us carry our bags to our rooms and went over some basics (using the fireplace, breakfast, coffee, wine/beer selection etc). We stayed in the room Anne Eliza, from my understanding this is one of the smaller rooms but worked fine for the night. This room faces the front towards the road, there is a nice view of mountains (equinox I think). The bathroom is quite large, very clean, the jacuzzi and fireplace...just amazing, the bath salts and candles around the jacuzzi were a great extra touch. The bed says queen to me it looked smaller but maybe thats because it's so high off the ground, didn't make much of a difference, it was comfy and we slept well. As morning approaches you'll hear cars driving by but we also had the window cracked opened so that didn't help. The inn is very close to downtown which is convenient with so many eating and shopping options. I don't know anything about the breakfast they offer since we chose to sleep in a bit (yeah even with the cars driving by)and missed it. If we venture out that way again, I'd without a doubt stay here. Thank you for the lovely stay!

I'm here because of the Vermont Summer Festival, everything is awesome in this town, the people is extreme nice and helpful, the town is completely georgeous, the view is unique, but even when everything is already perfect, i been stayong in this wonderful house/hotel, small, clean, peaceful, extreme confortable and full of class and history in every cornerr of the building. the dat when i came i meet the owners ( i forgot their names :(, so sorry), they were super nice, gave me a tour in all the house and told me a history why they got it, show me the kitchen, and offer me the breakfast for next morning. for my work i'm usually traveling and visiting different hotels, and i can say, this is one of the moat amazing place i ever seen, it's different than just a hotel, i felt like at home. hopefully for next year horse show i can stay here again. 10000000000% recomended.

Amazing food. Our room and the rest of the house was perfect - warm, cozy, ornate. We would definitely stay here again.

Great experience! Very eclectic, unconventional. Breathtaking mountain views…read more My family rented two vacation houses at the Wilburton for our large extended family of 25 -- I knew very little about the property before we arrived, so we were taken aback by the sprawling turn-of-the-century mansion and spectacular mountain views as we drove up the driveway. We absolutely never expected the art installations across the grounds -- including 18 x 26-foot Egyptian statues! The art and decor were eclectic and unexpected, and I found them very intriguing. It's definitely not your traditional resort, but that's what we liked about it. And the statues made for an amazing night with smores by the fire pit! The Reunion House was spacious -- we particularly enjoyed the living room, as it gave us enough room to comfortably host the other half of our family (about 25 of us) for a casual birthday party. There was plenty of seating with cozy leather sectionals and two large dining tables that seated about 8-10 people each. My daughter loved playing the piano in the living room, and the rooms downstairs with the daybeds were a great place for the kids to hang out and watch TV together. (The galley kitchen is a little small, but we were aware of this ahead of time because it was mentioned on their website.) We were there during a massive heat wave and all the air conditioners worked very well and kept us cool. Our kids loved the volley ball/badminton area steps away from our house. The outdoor pool is beautiful and it was so wonderful to be able to gather there easily with our whole family. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful. And we enjoyed looking around the mansion as well. There was so much do to in nearby Manchester -- great restaurants and shops, the bookstore is fantastic. We also enjoyed the ropes course and alpine slide at Bromley Mountain. We can't wait to return next year -- we'll be staying at one of the other properties even closer to my extended family's rental house and I'm so excited for its private balconies, jacuzzi tubs, and even more beautiful mountain views!

The grounds are beautiful, serving as an outdoor sculpture garden, perfect for strolling or meditation. The inn is located away from the bustle of Manchester Center, but only a few minutes away from Main Street and the state roads to reach nearby towns. The main house was rented out for the weekend, so we were unable to go inside, but Melissa graciously offered to give us a quick tour when we checked out (contactless, as was the check-in), so we had the opportunity to meet Melissa, as well as the "doggie concierge" Jetson, and sampled some muffins baked on the premises. Top-notch service and hospitality, would love to return in the warmer seasons!

The owners were wonderful and made you feel right at home -without the awkward feeling of obligation to chit-chat that can happen elsewhere. The place is about as adorable as it gets - without feeling kitschy. Each room is it's own little "cabin" and it feels as private as it can be - unlike a hotel. There's a free continental breakfast every morning and a sign up sheet for the next morning's hot breakfast (paid). As nervous as I was, the bed was comfortable and the room clean but still homey. The heating system worked perfectly, and we were totally comfortable even though one night was the first frost of the season! Everything about this place was charming and cozy. The only - ONLY - drawback I noticed (which wasn't even relevant to me since I'm still injured) was that it's not in a running-friendly location (no sidewalks just not highway but not regular road) and you'd have to drive a little to find a place to go. Downtown is freaking adorable and only like two miles away, so it's not too bad. I would go back in a heartbeat - and might have to make a trip in the summer to enjoy the back patio each room had! Yelp asks what could improve?…read more Well, for starters my now wife and I booked an elopement package here. We booked the Tier Two package as we thought it was the best value. Based on what we saw on their website it looked amazing! Unfortunately after the experience it felt extremely over priced. We were under the impression the manager Cheryl was going to be there and was assisting us with any questions or issues that came up leading up to our special day and then the day before found out that she was on vacation and Jen would be helping us. Upon checking in we went to our room the "Lucinda's Suite" which by the name sounds great. The room itself was large and rustic which isn't bad and was what we were looking for however when i went to use the shower i barely fit never mind the shower head was at my chest level. I'm not a tall person either. On Saturday the day of our "special day" we went to the included breakfast which was nice but were left wondering what was going on for our big day as we were introduced to absolutely no one and told nothing besides a time to show up. When my wife and I went to the gazebo where the ceremony was to be held it was a rough site. Paint peeling, rotting floor boards and things of that nature, not something you're imagining to take pictures in on your big day. As we sat in our room we watched as they decorate led the gazebo...with a table and a table cloth. About 30 minutes prior we were finally introduced to Jen and our Photographer Greg. The best thing i can say was Greg was truly an amazing photographer and did the best he could with our photos. He honestly made the day for us a lot better with his energy and his enthusiasm. After it all we decided to just cut our losses and go home even though we had paid for 2 nights. The 3 hour drive and staying in our own home sounded better. Overall if you're looking for a nice place to elope this wasn't it, as our day did not feel as though it was made very special. The absolute best part was the photographer Greg Nesbitt.

I'm gonna share these thoughts in no particular order. The hotel is incredibly dog friendly. That really stuck out. They're human friendly as well, but they are especially dog friendly. My impression of the hotel is that the Kimpton brand is so incredibly good at bringing outdated into today and still keeping the classic or historic elements in place. You can see that here through some of the photos I shared. Feel free to grab a bike or a scooter from the front and take a ride around town or around the property. If you brought your dog, grab a stick from the dog stick library and if you need to sit down and have a drink, every evening at five there's a Social hour where you can meet your neighbors and play some checkers over a glass of complementary wine or beer. There's usually some sort of snack involved and plenty of activities inside or out. The entire staff is friendly and genuinely helpful. It might be an act, but it looks like they enjoyed being there. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. Here's a couple more notes. They have activities from bocce ball to a swimming pool, and the library is full of activities for people of all ages. Don't forget to grab a complementary cup of coffee in the morning on your way out for the day. The property and the rooms were always clean and the AC works like a charm.
