I wish to share good news regarding the experience I had with ME Plumbing in Seguin. My problem appeared simple. My second home in Luling had a sewer back-up. I examined my choices for the surrounding area and I contacted ME Plumbing as it appeared they are large enough to take on most any job but small enough not to have lost the personal connection with customers. We discussed the job and they quoted me a price. The price was "not the cheapest money can buy" but, my past experience is you get what you pay for. I feel I can speak on this subject with some authority as I am an Engineering graduate from Texas A & M University with 13 years experience at the General Motors Corporation and 30 years as a Senior Facilities Engineer at a semiconductor plant in San Antonio. Yes I was responsible for overseeing many contracted skilled trades including electricians, carpenters, pipe fitters, and plumbers. I wish I knew about ME Plumbing then! My simple 2 day job turned into a 10 day ordeal and I am glad I had ME Plumbing on my side. They brought additional equipment, additional man-power; all the time with a smile on their face and great sense of humor. Once the job was completed I tried to discuss how much the overage would be since the scope of work increased. THEY WOULD NOT HEAR OF IT! I paid what I was quoted. If you need plumbing work of any scale; do not pass on contacting ME Plumbing - a firm still doing business like it should be done. I had a project done for a very large rainwater collection system (55,000 gallon tank) on my home. The installer for the rainwater system recommended American Hill Country Gutters for the gutters. This review is only regarding the gutter portion of the project by AHC gutters. Throughout the initial project Mr. Johnson was okay to work with, except for a few periods of long wait times, lack of communication, and an occasional grumpy attitude. I can certainly understand a few bad days, no problem. After the new installation, I discovered the elbows at the top were not secured, and a few splash guards were not working as expected. There was communication between my rainwater collection installer and Mr. Johnson about making the changes. I called Mr. Johnson to ask about his schedule, and I was surprised to hear they were coming that same day (luckily I was home). When his employees arrived they were very nice. Initially the employee thought he was only addressing a couple of elbows. I explained that all of them needed to be checked. I asked him if he could show me what he needed to do. I was trying to explain my concern about the removable screens that needed to function on the leaf eaters below the elbows. I asked if there was a way to make it work. His phone rang while I was standing there, and it was his boss Mr. Johnson. The employee handed me the phone. I was not prepared for what came next. Mr. Johnson proceeded to yell at me, belittled me, told me I was stupid for listening to other opinions, told me I didn't trust his guys, and told me to shut up and let his guys do their job. It was actually worse than that, but you get the picture. Then he to yelled at his employee as well. I was in shock. After going in my house to settle down for a bit, I came back out to work with the employee. I felt sorry for him for being part of this behavior. Once he was all done I thanked him for doing the best that he could. After having some time to reflect on this, I realize how bad the situation really was. It is possible Mr. Johnson wasn't happy that he was called to do this. Maybe he didn't think he should be fixing it. I have no idea. That's no reason to take out frustrations on his staff and the homeowner. I remained calm and professional to him, and his employee. I reviewed the whole thing on my ring camera to reflect on the incident. I am pretty sure I won't get an apology. American Hill Country Gutters will not be returning for anything in the future, which was probably Mr. Johnson's goal all along. In summary, if you consider a major rainwater collection system on your home, please do not use American Hill Country Gutters for that portion of your project. When you read the other reviews about rudeness by the owner, believe them. He will take your money for an installation, but if he has to come back to fix anything, he changes his attitude. He is not a nice person, especially to women.

This project consisted of knocking down a wall, moving plumbing and electrical, adding extra outlets and lighting. It also involved the tub removed and a tiled shower built and then the whole bathroom tiled. We ran into a couple of issues during the project from when the house was built. The contractors did a poor job when they ran the water lines and laid the foundation. Igor found and fixed the mistake. I am very happy with the work he and his crew did. I have asked them to quote me on the remodel of my other bathroom. All the other people that quoted me said this would take at least a month or more plus outrageous prices. This project was completed to perfection in 2 weeks. They were very tidy and professional, even with a cane corso dog bothering them the whole time.

Beyond frustrating. We were quoted $42 an hour for handyman repairs. Scheduled them twice for a…read moresheetrock repair. First time they couldn't make it. Second time they stated they wanted to charge me $84 an hour because they had a partner with them even though this was 2 holes on a ceiling and just a 1 person job. When I told him most of the time was waiting for it to dry and that I didn't want to pay for 2 people to wait, he said he understood and would go solo. He then tried to force me to accept a minimum hourly amount for each step of the task which was egregiously overstated. For instance, he wanted 3 hours of time to go buy paint. It's 10 minutes each way to the nearest sherwin williams or home depot and you are painting a 5 inch patch of space. Coincidentally, this total would end up about the same as the 2 man price he wanted me to do. It was really clear he was trying to change the pricing to a fixed bid and back into $250 for the job. I then informed him I was not okay with that and would only be okay paying the $42 an hour for the time he actually took to complete the job, he then stated he wasn't interested and called me unprofessional. He condescendingly called me "buddy" and tried to claim I was looking for "free work". So, if you want somebody to honor their quoted rate, hire anybody else. If you want somebody to low ball you and then try to invent ways to more than double the price by claiming additional workers or egregiously high timeframes for simple tasks, then go with this guy.
