They took care of removing large overgrown shrubs in front of our house with an excavator, Rob redesigned the yard using a video demonstration beforehand which looked outstanding, the crew laid new bordering, expanding the beds, replaced all soil and added weed-preventing landscape fabric and landscape rock, and added several palms, small shrubs, and several items of color that were mostly maintenance-free at our request. Some landscape companies will take what you request and twist them to convince you to use certain plants that turn more of a profit for them, but not Leafy Landscapes. They'll work with your request and do everything to make it happen, offering some expert guidance along the way, but not hard-selling toward something else. What I like most is that Rob and his crew are expert at landscape and landscape design and have been involved in horticulture for many years, so they know what works and doesn't work in a central Florida landscape. I hired these guys about two years ago and it's been a constant struggle to get them to do the job…read moreright, anywhere from breaking sprinkler heads that they didn't report or repair to killing most of my garden with "weed control". Chris manages the bussiness and only cares about charging for services that are done very poorly or not at all. I travel out of state and without fail always find an unpleasant surprise with my garden and lawn when I get back home, from big swaths of dead grass and plants due to broken sprinkler heads and not getting water to the most recent disaster where I asked them to do weed control,, and unfortunately, their technician sprayed all of my plants and killed most of them. Kiefer, Chris's assistant Inspected the property and acknowledge that they had screwed up and killed a lot of plants. He promised to replace them, but now two weeks later and nothing. I talked to Chris about this and his reply was "we'll schedule it when we have time and the plants are cheap enough to buy". I'm afraid I'll have to seek legal action against these people to get resolution. They simply don't care. Do yourself a favor and find a more responsible Landscape company to take care of your lawn and garden.

Hogan's installed sod in our front yard on July 23, 2026 while we were returning from vacation in…read morespite of us specifically requesting that it not be installed until July 24th or later. We wanted to be home to make certain that the ground underneath was tilled or scraped and then top soil spread prior to installation of the sod. We paid for upgraded Scott ProVista St. Augustine sod from Duda & Sons. A few weeks later, after noticing that the grass was turning brown in spite of proper watering, someone from Hogan came and lifted the sod in a few locations and told us that the sod was not taking root and was brown on the underside. We have called repeatedly and asked that someone come and explain what they can do to fix the issue. They've promised that a manager would come out (never happened). Technically they have completed all of the tasks listed in their contract, sod follow-up inspection (this is when the inspector told us the sod had not rooted), irrigation management, follow-up visit by spray tech to apply preventive insecticide and nutrients to develop roots but the grass is still yellow/brown/dead after 5 weeks. We have had ample rain and watered repeatedly Additionally, the sod was installed in such a way that we are unable to open our gate and have asked that they fix that as well. Now they are refusing to take and/or return our calls.
