The real story comes about a month after that. I was traveling and my daughter and her husband were staying at the house. My daughter was home while her husband was at work. She called me in a panic to say our basement was flooding. It had rained hard the previous day. I was out of town and did not know what to do. So, I called Tony and Son Plumbing again. The owner (Tony) dropped what he was doing and traveled across town to my home to assess the situation. I will spare the readers a blow-by-blow discussion of the plumbing problem.
