I recently bought a 2024 Elantra and added the truck to my insurance policy, which resulted in a monthly premium of over $270. After six months, when it came time to renew, my insurance rate increased. I called and spoke with Summer about this increase, the person who set up my policy. She explained that my truck's value had decreased, but the new car's value had increased, making it almost even in the end. When I asked her why my new car's insurance had gone up, her reasoning was convoluted and unconvincing; it seemed she couldn't provide a satisfactory explanation. I was shocked that an insurance company couldn't clarify why a good driver like me had faced a rate increase. Eventually, I found a different reputable insurance agency that offered me a policy for $95 less per month and included car rental coverage, which would have been more expensive with State Farm. I recommend looking into other insurance agencies before choosing State Farm, or at least this particular office. They didn't make any effort to understand why my insurance had increased, and Summer seemed indifferent about my search for alternatives. It's no wonder people aren't flocking to this company; the customer service is really poor.

Never have dealt with more unprofessionalism than I have with this insurance (so much so, my whole…read morefamily and anyone I know is now switching). I recently got into a non-fault accident, it was after hours so I reported it to an after hour hotline, and was told I would be contacted once the office opened, I never was, I had to contact them myself. After a week of getting the run around and not getting a call back to messages left, I finally reached a woman that told my that my car was deemed as a total loss, five days after it was deemed so. Here's the worst part of the event, while telling me that my car was deemed a total loss, the woman I was talking to started to laugh, she could hardly finish her sentence of telling me that my car was totaled without laughing, when I asked her why she was laughing, she told me she was doing it as a "defense mechanism so that she didn't yell at me". Why am I; as a customer, being yelled at here? I filed a claim with my insurance, which is what you're supposed to do in an event like this. I asked her for her name, since she was so unprofessional, and she said that she would refuse to give it to me. She set the phone down after that and I could hear her in the background saying, "she's not hanging up, so someone is going to have to deal with this now". So now I am without a car, and was treated like a horrible person when they should (as the say on their site) comfort you and be on your side. Please don't use this company, you get what you pay for, if I ever do receive a settlement on this, we shall see.
