I met Larry Roberts about a year before it was time for my daughter to start driving. He spoke at a group event, promoting his driver's education classes. I held onto that brochure up until it was time and as soon as she got her permit, I called to try to get her in. Unfortunately, it's not the Boone Driving School. They actually have to already have their license and have some sense of driving experience in order to attend this education course. In five days they teach them how to recognize dangers of driving. The training includes classroom instruction, use of driving simulators, and driving on a 3 1/2-acre driving pad under the supervision of certified instructors. My daughter absolutely loved her instructors. One was a retired police officer. He and all of the others that met seemed to genuinely love teaching these kids. The cost is currently $400 for 20 hours of instruction. The cars, also called Skid Monsters are provided by Toyota On Nicholasville. They provide 11 cars per year to the program. There are several other corporate sponsors too. So, the $400 price isn't the true value of what it's worth.

The calssroom training given to us by video and supplemented by Dusty was very thorough and straight-forward. Harness and gorund training from Jim was also very thorough and complete. All the staff was extremely friendly and patient. It is very evident that safety is their number on epriority and having fun is number 2. They are a very proffessional but fun group of people with excellent customer service and interaction with each other and the customers. They feel like friends from the beginning gaining your trust and confidence in a sport that requires a high amount of each be given to the instructors. We will definitely visit them again in the future as wella s recommend them to any of our friends interested in jumping in the future.

For aircraft they have both a C-206 and C-182. Manifest helped us make the first plane load of the day. The drop-zone owner, Jim was friendly and pointed out some of the landmarks on the flight to altitude, which was pretty neat. They take tandem reservations online, have an indoor packing area, and are primarily only open on weekends. Yes, you should go make a skydive if you are in the area.

Code Louisville also offers a bevy of additional resources, like job readiness workshops, one day workshops like "Salesforce", help on resumes, mentors available daily, and more. You can tell that they truly care about your success, and they are invested in it. My hope is that the grant funding for this facility continues, and can impact the city immensely to motivate more investment in tech talent. During my graduation event, I was able to meet recruiters from several companies, plus Lieutenant Governor Jeanine Hampton, and Mayor Greg Fischer, who is a big proponent of the programs here.
