My wax specialist was named Oksana, the SWEETEST, and I mean, S W E E T E S T woman. It had been a while since my last wax as I went back to shaving due to inconsistent travel for work so needless to say my lady parts were a little rough around the edges. I'm also Caribbean with really course thick hair that grows in a bunch of different directions (TMI I know). I have to say this was the least painful wax I've ever received in my life, Oksana was so gentle and chatted with me throughout the whole thing and her energy is just super familiar and comforting. I have used Dr. Brandt DNA (Do Not Age) products for almost 3 years, and they suggested trying a few products from their all-natural organic Eminence skin care line. I was never a believer in products that advertised they could make you look years younger after just a few applications, particularly with ingredients that you might find a chemistry set (except maybe for my religious daily application of Retinol that my dermatologist prescribed). I can say this with reasonable certainty, Eminence products are the best I've ever used. Mind you I am a college student in my early 20's and I was walking with my best friend (who is of same age) next to me and the temperature was in the mid-80's. She wanted me to go inside and try stuff. I immediately told her "no thanks" and that I had to be somewhere. She said it would only take 1 minute and because she was so aggressive I said fine (one that usually comes with an eye roll) and sat inside. That 1 minute became at least 5 minutes. I told her I really had to go and that my friend was waiting for me outside but she really thought I couldn't leave as if I was obligated to buy something. My friend's outfit was probably less than $100, so hmm...wonder why she gave him no attention at all and had him wait outside in the heat. Her sales pitch was just as good as that of J. Belfort from Wolf of Wall St....if Belfort had DESPERATION written all over him. She tried to sell me $800 of products and after stating my disinterest many times, she quickly threw in a 50% discount and then a student discount. Because she threw that discount in so quickly, I literally had 0 respect for her as it insinuates that she attempted to charge me at least DOUBLE the actual selling price. I understand the Hamptons is a wealthy area but there is a world outside the Hamptons where most people don't have $800 lying around to spend aimlessly (especially a typical college student). It took years for me to save money so that I could feel comfortable spending a portion of my savings on the aforementioned designer items. Oh, and she was a horrible listener too. She asked where I was from & I said Great Neck...her response: "oh nice, Ohio". And she had to ask me twice what cosmetics I use when my initial response was simply: "none". Considering the pricey items and the affluent setting, my short experience here was far from adequate as the experience was comparable to that of stores located in impoverished areas. If you are like me and do not have interest in expensive cosmetics or don't like to be hustled, do yourself a favor and walk on the opposite side of Newton Lane so that you won't have to deal with this nonsense.

These two lovely makeup artists who were working at Jones Road. I loved how warm and friendly they were when my friend and I walked in. We drove over two hours for my friend's birthday just to visit this Jones Road store and we were very happy to have met these two women! Jones Road is a makeup brand by Bobbi Brown and they sell makeup in the form of skin care. I'd like to tell you about how this store is immaculate. I'm impressed by how hygienic the store is to even test out the makeup line. I'm talking about proper testing protocol and the use of hand sanitizers. I don't know about you but I do NOT want dirty and contaminated make up on my face. I want to look pretty, not broken out by nasty microbes! Maureen and Paige made me and my friend feel welcomed. They really took their time in helping my friend shade match the WTFoundation, miracle balms, and other goodies. We were also the only customers visiting as well. Honestly, I didn't need to purchase anything but I decided to treat myself as well but we had some technical difficulties. Don't worry, Maureen called the corporate to take care of it! Ladies and gents, I keep the products in my car since it's super cold these days and I just apply the make up quickly in my car right before I start my shift. I'm always on the go and these products have truly cut down my makeup application time to 5-7 minutes! It stays in place on my face and I feel so pretty with the Magic Hour Miracle Balm! We needed a salon that could remove my daughter's…read moreacrylics, and after calling several nearby places, another local nail salon recommended we try Glamour Nails. I had a gel manicure and gel pedicure, and my daughter had acrylics removed, gel manicure and a french pedicure. The salon was very clean, the nail techs were friendly, and the music was pleasant/low volume. It was a little expensive ($225 for both of us) but I knew it would cost more out here. Got the job done and I'll definitely be back again this summer
