Spending hours in a salon chair is never my idea of a good time but it's a process and with what I wanted I knew it would take some time. I am a brunette naturally and I've been blonde for the past 7 months or so. I've never had any issue with brassiness, my hair lifts rather easily. Me and my friend went in on time for our scheduled appointment and sat for probably around 15 minutes while the hairdresser (there was only one) finished up on a client. When it came time to sit down we discussed how I wanted to be a slightly brighter blonde which in essence just meant I wanted my root bleached and toned to match the rest of my hair because it had grown out a fair amount. I showed her a few reference pictures and it began. The hairstylist mixed the bleach and applied it directly to my scalp with a bottle which I'm not accustomed to but it started getting bad when the bleach started burning my head which I've never experienced before, she ended up having to wash it out after 20 minutes because of how uncomfortable it was. The end product (I'm including photos of the whole process) ended up being the crown of my head a bright brassy orange color with streaks in it. I made it clear that I wasn't happy with it and she was very kind and offered to do a balayage to break up the brassiness. After processing it and washing my hair for the second time I was left with bright blonde streaks and the crown of my head still left completely orange. I was mortified, my hair now felt stringy as it had been processed twice already. She then assured me she could fix it by doing some foils in the root to take away the brassiness that was still clearly visible. In hindsight I should have gotten up and paid there and then left to prevent further damage to my hair but I was trusting that with her "20+" years of experience it could still be salvaged. She then went in with foils, let it develop and washed my hair for the third time at which point I was extremely upset to see that not only was my hair more damaged it was also still orange and possibly streakier than before. She had another appointment come in at the same time and the girl was left sitting in the chair while she took me back to the bowl again to apply a toner to do a shadow root so I didn't leave with orange streaks. She applied the toner, didn't leave it in and washed it out. at this point I was extremely upset. My friend and I had been sitting in the salon for 4 hours at this point and my hair had only gotten worse. She asked to blow dry a strand but I told her it was pointless because you could see the brassiness clearly in the light and even if it got lighter it would still be orange. I told her and my friend that I just wanted to go home, she proceeded to tell me to come back on Wednesday to get it fixed which I declined. She then asked me to only pay for materials which I pulled out money to do. At this point I was close to tears and she hastily said she "couldn't deal with tears" , walked away and continued to talk to me while working out her other client. thankfully I did not end up having to pay for anything after it was over, I left and went home. After attempting to blow dry my now straw stiff over processed hair with orange streaks I decided to leave this review. This will probably cost hundreds of dollars to fix and my hair is irreparably damaged. The woman (who I believe is the only person to work here) to do my hair was very rude and disrespectful. She was sassy and said to my friend who pulled up blonde inspo pictures, "which one do you actually want because these are all different colors." My friend asked for a root touch up (bleaching) and when she didn't respond well to the first solution (it was burning her head) the woman blamed the horrible color result on that rather than her lack of expertise and professionalism. She was not using proper baliage techniques, equipment, or allowing products to sit for the necessary amount of time. Upon making an appointment, she requested that my friend who was getting her hair colored and myself, who was getting a haircut come at the same time. Assuming there would be different people doing our hair, we were wrong. She flip flopped during our hair over the 4 hours we spent in the salon. Two other customers walked in and she attempted to work on them at the same time as well. Very unprofessional. She obviously didn't know what she was doing and continuously tried to state that "wet hair (that was obviously orange) does not look the same way dry hair does" because "wet hair doesn't reflect light." This was a mere coverup for the fact that she doesn't know how to color hair and that it was in fact just bright orange. She was very rude to my friend who, after 4 hours, had very orange, dead hair and was obviously upset. She stated that her bleaching and balayage were "beautiful" and that blow drying the hair or washing it a couple of times would fix the coloring. Unsure how anyone here has given this establishment 5 stars. My friends and I had a wedding in Montauk this past weekend and wanted to get our hair blown out. We did some research and there are slim pickings in Montauk for hair establishments. Yelp said this place was decent and we thought, "How hard could it be for a blow out?" Apparently, it was quite hard. Prior to our appointments, it was confirmed (multiple times) that the cost would be $50-$55, depending on length. Three out of four of us have shoulder length hair and one has hair above the elbows. Two of us sat down first. We specified how we wanted our hair done (flat on top, bouncy on bottom) In my life, I have never had a blow out take more than a half hour TOPS. Well, that record was broken here. To blow out SHOULDER LENGTH THIN HAIR TOOK 1 HOUR. They slathered product in our hair (they said mousse would take out frizz?), tried to put styling wax in one person's hair and used outdated products to blow. At the end, I literally said "Please stop touching me" and got up. They then tried to charge my one friend with longer hair $75 for a blow out. ARE YOU FOR REAL? She declined because that is outrageous. Our fourth friend also asked for a basic blow out, where they proceeded to rip her hair straight from the head. When it came time to pay, they tried charging me $65. I set them straight and said, "No, you said $50" and she tried arguing that my hair was "mid length". Anyone with eyes can see my hair is at my shoulders, but I digress. I only paid $50 and cut the tip in half because of poor customer service. We all had to go home and wash/redo our hair. We were clearly all EXTREMELY unhappy and they either can't read social cues or literally don't care. Furthermore, there was a very unfriendly dog in the salon (the owner's I presume) who snapped at my friend and the owner shrugged it off. Overall, this was a god awful experience. I would have rather paid $50 for someone to rip every hair out of my head than this sorry excuse for a blow out. If you like your hair and money, DO NOT COME HERE. read more

Best manicure / pedicure in Montauk - both in price and in quality. She is super friendly, as a great selection of polish (OPI, Essie, that shellac / gel stuff, China Glaze, etc). I had a great mani/pedi from Yani. A bit over priced at $75 plus $15 tip so I've given it 4 stars. But when in need, this is a great option.

Had my nails done here twice on a recent trip and was very pleased both times. Yani (sp?) does a very thorough and professional job. My nails looked almost perfect a week later. I have had a lot of experiences with resort areas where I have been charged exorbitant amounts and gotten lousy manicures. Not at all the case with The Endz. The salon is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

Had the works done. Great glad I made an appointment there hair nails make up. Kristina did my makeup and she was fabulous.

You know you're in trouble when the first thing the hair dresser doing up-dos says "oh no I don't do braids, my hands just don't work like that." She proceeded to ask why we would come in for fish-tail braids if we knew how to do it ourselves. Isn't that the exact same thing as going in for a blow out or color? You know how to do it yourself, but a professional SHOULD be able to do it better. This was not the case at The Endz. Worst experience at a hair salon I've ever had, including charging full price for a "braid" that was taken out before we left the store. read more

I don't know even how to start this review. I am inclined to lead with this ... - during my $65 basic manicure/pedicure there was an EPIC brawl. Screaming & f bombs everywhere between the owner of the salon and the owner of the business next door. Words like "you're just jealous" "you make sandwiches for a living" etc etc. I mean this altercation became so awkward for me I literally questioned out loud whether I was on that TV show - "what would you do". I should have refused payment for the service for this downright dirty fight I was exposed to but I didn't - you would think there would be some type of courtesy extended to me for that epic meltdown but literally NOTHING. I am not sure you want to be associated with this salon & type of behavior especially at these prices. Sorry to my manicure/pedicurist that is indirectly associated with this review.
