I usually really like Bluemercury, but would have to agree with T.N. regarding my recent experience. I went in to ask if they had/was trying to find a Christmas set available yet that I was planning to purchase for my boyfriend. She did help me with figuring out when that would come in, but when I picked up a body cream, she was quite rude in telling me not to and ignored me the rest of the time I was there. I left without acknowledging the associates. I'm surprised because their customer service is usually great and super helpful - shout out to Marissa and Erin for their sweetness! The store/chain itself is very, very spendy, but if you're of the means, it's nice! read more

Came in around 2pm on Sunday, June 18 with my two kids and was completely ignored by both employees. They were engaged with other customers but not a hello, is there anything you're looking for, I'll be right with you, nothing. I made it clear I was looking for a particular brand and at no point did either employee point me in the direction. I found the brand on my own. I grabbed the three items I needed that had a retail value of $180 and then started looking at another line. Still zero employee interaction. I heard one of the customers they were assisting with asking for a bunch of samples and right then it just clicked. I'm about to spend over $200 and can't even get an acknowledgment but these two employees are fawning all over a customer seeking free samples. Ordered what I wanted from the skinceutical website which randomly was offering 20% off. Honestly, screw this location. I don't know if it's because I had kids with me or if it's because I didn't fit the mold of who those two employees thinks are their customers. I won't return and highly advise others against shopping here as well. read more

Amazing! I love the Naperville and Hinsdale BM locations. If you're willing to splurge a bit for waxing, you will not regret it, I promise. I believe it was Veronica who waxed me here. She is so friendly and candid and cares about her clients. Another staff member helped me in the summer pick out some great skincare/tinted moisturizer products. Our local shop is staffed with wonderful, down to earth people that are a pleasure to visit with and discuss my skin and beauty concerns. As a dude I go for Kiehl products. I've been in the store three times. I'm always greeted quickly, which would be very strange if not bc I've never seen more than one other customer than me. I've had a few different questions on the differences between two different shaving cream lotions, since I needed to repurchase and I didn't like one and loved the other, yet, no one cld answer my question, ever have the experience they're trying to actually convince what they're saying is bc they're informed while literally reading off the label as the same time you are - AFTER I just explained what's said on the bottle doesn't answer my question "which one clogs up my blade?" read more

The retail part of Bluemercury seems lovely, but please DO NOT get your eyebrows done here...ever! My mom got me a gift card for a brow styling for my birthday and I decided to use it 2 days ago. I don't think the woman doing my brows had much experience because she used wax for just a few hairs that she could have plucked which means my forehead got a nice waxing, too. I've been getting my eyebrows waxes almost every month for the past 5 years and never have I experienced such a painful waxing. Usually the redness for me lasts a few hours at the most, but never ever has redness or pain from an eyebrow waxing lasted more than a day for me. So many layers of skin were ripped off that now, two days later, I still have pain from halfway up my forehead to halfway down my eyelid. I wanted to include pictures, but they're so bad, I don't want evidence of this waxing anywhere. Please, please, stick to the $15 waxing at your local nail salon!!! read more

I highly recommend. I visited this store for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I love their products and selection. The store is bright, clean and very organized. I noticed that they sold Chantecaille products. There was a particular retinol intense product that has been sold out for months even on the vendor website. The associate was able to track one down for me in St. Louis and have it shipped directly to my home. She also gave me a great sample bag of lots of different high end products to try. Blue mercury is a skincare heaven! As soon as you enter, the staff is very helpful to guide you to different skincare brands and products that would be beneficial for what you are looking for. They are not pushy and actually recommend for you to try a product out or take a sample home before purchasing. I came in earlier today to have a facial. My husband bought a gift card from the store a week ago, and requested for them to give me a good facial, since I don't go often. Everyone in the store was really nice. They remembered who my husband was, and what he asked for. I got the power facial from Veronica, and I couldn't rave enough about her. She explained the procedure, including what to expect during the treatment. She made recommendations, as well. We had an easygoing conversation throughout the treatment. (In other places I've been before, it seemed forced and uncomfortable). Veronica just makes you feel at ease. She did not push products on me, which I think was respectable. Products used were top notch. I had a gold mask on.:) Before I left, I asked for concealer recommendations, and they had me try different shades to find which fits my skin tone better. My facial treatment exceeded expectations, and I would highly recommend coming to blue mercury in Naperville! When I came home, my husband said that my skin was glowing. I also felt it became smoother & softer, and it looked brighter. Look for Veronica, and you will be pleased.:) Plus! Blue Mercury is a nice change to the industry. Unlike the completion, this store is quiet, spaced out well and has excellent knowledgeable staff that offered me unbiased advice. The highlight of my trip to Blue Mercury on this particular day though was finding Veronica, the in house esthetician. I had a spontaneous facial with her that was nothing less than amazing. She gave me a microdermabrasion that literally brought my hyperpigmentation down to nearly nothing. This girl knows her business and I will be returning for future services with her! read more
