We were so impressed with this company! We had most of our interior walls and ceilings painted. We also had our exterior wood shingles stained, black metal gate and railing spray-painted, our front door painted, and the exterior of the house painted. They did it all beautifully! Everyone paid attention to detail and did an outstanding job. Both my husband and I are perfectionists, and we were very pleased with their work. We highly recommend using them! They were a little hard to get a hold of initially - COVID-19 really is doing a number on everyone. I had posting earlier about some issues in regards to communication and pricing. Rick reached out promptly and addressed my concerns and explained that my issues with communication must have been a misunderstanding, which when you're playing phone tag very well does happen. I think our bid came in higher than I initially had thought due to maybe not being more explicit in what we were looking for. I did find another painter to finish the job I was looking to complete, but Rick's outreach restored my faith in Bluenote and we will definitely reach out for any future bids to give them another go. read more

This is the best painting company in PDX! Great price, incredible workman ship and the best warranty in the business. Have used on both or old and even our brand Lennar home after the contractor(Turbo Painting) they hired did such a poor job I hired Rick and Co to come fix all the issues. General Manager, Juan, was great and expert painters Ray & Ashley were excellent and focused on detail, neatness and all of them were were very nice , warm people. My partner and I have been general contracting a total house renovation, a year long project, where we've added a second floor to a one story house, employing every single type of tradesperson imaginable. Out of the dozens of people working for us, I can honestly say that Bluenote Painting has been the pinnacle of our experiences working with contractors. For one, they answer the phone when called or they return calls and emails promptly. Rick in their office is friendly, articulate, and available. Bids came in quickly and were lower or on par with all competitors. Ramiro and his crew came in *on the scheduled date at the scheduled time* and completed their work ahead of schedule to our total satisfaction. Their communication skills were excellent, they were friendly and professional at all times, and expressed genuine concern that we be happy with all elements of the job. In short, they are a model business, and I think anyone who has worked with a lot of contractors knows how rare and special it is to find people who operate to these standards. I really don't have enough good things to say about these guys. The work they do is fantastic. The exterior of the house looks amazing. That's a given. What I was really impressed with, though was the level of service that everyone at Bluenote provided, from the top down. I emailed them (note to contractors: ANSWER YOUR EMAIL) and the owner was at my house for a consult the next day. I had a quote that night and was on their schedule the next day. All the other painting companies I hired took at least a week to get back to me. From there, the whole process so incredibly easy and painless. The owner was so accommodating with our schedule needs and the back and forth we had to go through with our HOA. We'd never had to do this before, but everyone at Bluenote did a great job of explaining everything, answering our many questions and accommodating our special requests. The team that performed the work should also be commended as well. Not only did they do beautiful work, but they were very friendly to me, my wife and my kids. They really went above and beyond for all the work that they did and the little details that I asked for. They fixed little things that we hadn't even noticed and kept everything immaculately clean. They were fast, professional and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. They offer a warranty on their work and use paint that has a substantial warranty as well. And more than once said that if anything goes wrong, they'll come out and fix it. I've recommended them to numerous neighbors friends and anyone who will listen. And if I can get $50 for everybody that comes through me, great. We used them to paint the exterior of our house, but if you need any sort of painting done, I just don't think you can go wrong with these guys. I can't recommend them enough. read more

Bluenote painted the exterior of our house about two years ago. They did amazing. We have since bought a new house and needed the interior painted. They gave us a quote and we went with them again. They did not disappoint. They came in and immediately set to work. They were here on time and put in a full days work. They got everything completed in two days! They cleaned up afterwards and even offered to change a light bulb while they had out their tall ladder for me! Very nice. I just had a road run-in with a bluenote painting van. I do not know whether it was an employee or the owner. The van purposely nearly ran me off the road and into the barricade as I was trying to merge and aggressively flipped me off in the process. Then about 1/2 mile down the road completely ran a red light at a busy intersection. Now this review has nothing to do with the quality of painting they may or may not do, but it does speak to the quality of person they are or hire. read more

Rick and his crew took great care of our home during our recent painting. Rick was quickly responsive to communications, including weekends. The crew was on-time for both the pressure washing and the painting of the house (2 days). The quote given months earlier was honored, to the penny, as were the agreed upon details of the job. This is the second time I have used Bluenote for my painting needs. I used them for exterior painting in the summer. My old house was chipping and required a lot of prep work. They did an amazing job and there was not one paint chip left on the ground in the yard. I used them again for my new interior space. It needed some walls patched and prep work. They arrived when they said they were coming, space was prepped with care to protect my floors, furniture and other surfaces. Work was completed on time. The results are beautiful The workspace was left perfectly clean and the furniture returned to its original position The crew was very professional as well.
