Finally finished it all this year and a BGCC team returned to install it. These gentlemen took such pride in their work to compensate for the short wall having been built not level. This company (NW Cabinet Source) immediately answered my desperate plea for help with Erv S. coordinating and Bill P. (the owner) coming out to modify the cabinetry the NEXT day!!! I needed a custom breakfast nook built in our condo to accommodate the needs of our growing family. I shopped around a LOT and got a wide range of estimates, ideas and time frames, none of which suited our budget or needs. (Not to mention, very few contractors had examples of their work to look over.) Fortunately, I stumbled upon TrimLogic and was impressed with the pictures posted and his reviews. Craig replied to my inquiry immediately and was able to provide a reasonable estimate (especially considering the level of his work). I had a very specific idea of what I wanted and he was able to work with my design and improve it! He added the little details that really made this piece shine like matching the moulding, add little extras, installing soft shut hinges and appropriate finishes. He convinced me to stain the bench top to match my cabinets and leave the base and wainscotting white. What a brilliant idea! The bench visually flows into my kitchen cabinets without overwhelming the area with all white or all wood. He thought of all the things that I didn't even know I should be concerned about. Craig was a very respectful of my family and home during the installation process. The majority of the bench build and painting/staining occurred offsite. This meant less mess, noise and smell in my house. Craig arrived on time (or would text me if running late) and he always cleaned up every day! He was conscious to protect our walls, hardwood floor and even the outdoor area where he worked. He even worked around my toddler's nap schedule and kept the noise to a minimum during that time. I don't need to sit here and describe the quality and beauty of his work. You can see & read this for yourself in the pictures and reviews on Yelp, Facebook and his website. I really appreciated his communication promptness; he always responded to me immediately. Also, he managed his time and budget extremely well. He gave us an installation date (and length of time) and did not run over nor did he underestimate his budget. Finally, he took pride in his work and his company and made sure the process and end product lived up to his standards. My only warning? Act fast ... he books up quickly!! Thank you Craig and TrimLogic for our beautiful breakfast nook. We can now all sit down together for dinners and connect as a family. You can't put a price on that!

Working with their designer, Kelsey, was so easy -- she was able to quickly & precisely modify drawings, provide additional details, and work with other trades (e.g. plumber & electrician that needed exact measurements). The installation team, Aaron & Mike, were top-notch: they showed up on time, were great guys to be with, and best of all are really master woodworkers. The painting team, led by John, were amazing with the quality of caulking and painting being second to none (to my surprise the cabinets were installed as bare wood, and then caulked, finished and painted in place; however, the taping, masking, screening, etc. for over-spray were excellent with zero problems). And at the end of each day, Peter would send an email with photos of the work-in-process, outlining the day's accomplishments and work schedule for the next day. Really remarkable customer service and attention to detail. We looked at many alternatives for kitchen cabinets -- from do it yourself to completely outsourced. Pacific Northwest was the best value we found, and certainly the best to work with. I can honestly say Peter and his team are one of the best businesses I've had the pleasure of ever working with!

They took a kitchen to the studs and built a masterpiece for my wife and me. How much do we love them? We rehired them to renovate our master bathroom completely. The fact that we rehired them should tell you all that you need to know about how amazing they are. So, again, the best review is that we are using them again, and you should use them too because they are the best. What made them the best: 1) They helped us save a lot of money. They have a unique approach to ordering materials for the project. They let us know what they needed, and we ordered it directly. We ordered the new cabinets, the new doors, the new appliances, etc. By doing this, there was no additional markup on the items ordered, and it saved us a lot of money. Other contractors we met with didn't want to do this, and their quotes were at least 20 percent more than PDX Homeworks. 2) Their work. Unlike other contractors that we have had in the past. When they saw something that wasn't quite right but that we would never know about, they didn't just cover it up and move on; THEY MADE IT RIGHT. Not to mention that their work is very precise. I once watched Nick get so frustrated when he was leveling the kitchen as he tried to level everything because it was off, to me, an imperceptible amount. At least the amount was imperceptible to me, but to Nick, it wasn't perfectly level, and he continued until it met his exacting needs. 3) Helping with design. We were amazed at how painless the whole design process of our kitchen was. We gave Amanda some inspirational pictures, and she came back with a fantastic design that only required a few minor tweaks. THANK YOU, AMANDA. 4) They only work on one project at a time. It is just Nick, Amanda, and Kailash. They don't have multiple crews doing multiple jobs that they are overseeing. They were at our house every day, working and working. It was so lovely that we had consistency in seeing them every day. 5) They're very clean. Every day, they would use drop cloths on the ground to make sure they didn't get the carpets dirty. I even told them that they didn't need to do that because I was getting the carpets cleaned after they were done. They didn't listen to me and continued to use drop cloths every day. They also vacuumed and cleaned up every day. It was a very clean renovation. 6) They are just the nicest people. It was great getting to know them during the whole process of our renovation. They don't do this type of work to become huge builders with millions of dollars of work completed every year. They are just the nicest people who love remodeling, helping people out, and helping them save money where they can. Again, we can't say enough good things about them except that we used them, again, to renovate our master bathroom. If you need a contractor, unequivocally, I can say that you don't need to look any further because you have found the best contractors in Portland and possibly the world. USE THEM!!!!!!

They even knew my pets names the first day. We hired Matt to paint the entire inside and outside of our house, the outside of our shed and shop, and pressure wash our driveway and patio. Matt bid the high-end Benjamin Moore outdoor paint by default, which was competitively priced with the lower end paint bids by others. The other unique item was Matt's work came with a 5-year workmanship warranty. If I had questions or thought something needed to be touched-up, Matt answered questions or touched up work no questions asked. He wanted to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was when added to the scope of work. I sent photos, he gave a bid, and we agreed to the price. When he came to the house, Matt said he could do the work less and reduced his bid even though we already agreed to the higher amount. Matt's team are good painters and it's clear he takes pride in the quality of his work. I strongly recommend him and would hire him again. The only heads-up I would give (not a negative, just a heads up) is if you want any texturing work done, make sure to communicate your expectations with Matt. Matt was clear with us regarding his team's texturing limitations, which I appreciated. Matt did a good job sanding and texturing to remove an obvious line across the middle of the room, this isn't part of his normal scope that was included in our bid.

I also had a hiccup with a door that wouldn't close properly after painting. (It was probably a very tight fit before painting). This door also needed some off-site work to shave down the top, so it would close correctly. The team came back on a Saturday morning to bring me the restored closet doors. These little pain points come up with lots projects. You need a company that will take care of things when everything doesn't go perfectly. ESP will make sure everything is taken care off.

I had a large, complex project, that involved removing wallpaper and painting all of my home's interior walls, baseboards, window trim, and doors. The crew put in so much care with the prep work that they did not get paint on my newly installed hardwood floors. Everything looks lovely and precise and exactly what I wanted. Hector and his team did an amazing job. he was easy to work with and and his crew was so friendly and courtesy of our new home and our belongings. We hired NW Paint Revival to repaint the interior walls of our home for approximately $3,450. While…read morethe project was completed on schedule and the contractor appeared knowledgeable and responsive during the estimate process, we ultimately experienced significant quality and communication issues that left us disappointed with the final result. After moving into the home and spending more time with the finished product, we documented more than 45 photos of workmanship concerns throughout the house. These included paint on trim, baseboards, and window casings, paint drips, uneven cut lines, visible roller marks and flashing, inconsistent finish quality, areas with incomplete coverage, and wall repair issues that were addressed in some locations but overlooked in others. I've included as many photos as Yelp allows so others can evaluate the results for themselves. One of the biggest issues involved communication and expectations. Because we could not access the home before closing, we asked whether a video walkthrough would be sufficient for an estimate. We were told that it would be and that if additional square footage, coverage requirements, or color selections would affect pricing or scope, those concerns would be identified before work began so there would be "no surprises." We later completed an in-person walkthrough before the project started. During that walkthrough, no concerns were raised about square footage, coverage limitations, or the possibility that additional coats would be needed. Those issues were only discussed after we raised concerns about the completed work. My primary concern was not that touch-ups were needed. Most painting projects have punch-list items. Rather, it was how the concerns were handled once they were brought forward. Instead of focusing on the workmanship issues themselves, the discussion repeatedly shifted to the project's value, square footage calculations, and the limitations of a one-coat system. The contractor also disputed statements that had previously been made despite those conversations being documented in our message history. I understand that we did not purchase the company's premium repaint package. However, I do not believe that choosing a more budget-conscious option should result in paint on adjacent surfaces, visible drips, inconsistent cut lines, overlooked repairs, incomplete coverage, or the number of finish issues we documented throughout the home. I also wish coverage expectations had been communicated more clearly before work began. We were quoted additional charges for extra coverage in darker-colored rooms, which led us to believe that any other areas requiring additional coats had already been identified and addressed during the walkthrough process. Had we been told that other rooms might still show the previous color or require additional coats to achieve proper coverage, we would have made a different decision before proceeding. After documenting the issues, I requested a $100 partial refund as a goodwill gesture. I was not seeking reimbursement for the entire project, and the request was not solely related to one room. By that point, we had already moved into the home, had lost confidence in the quality of the workmanship, and did not want additional painting performed. The refund request was denied. Although additional walkthroughs and touch-ups were eventually offered, the proposed resolution changed multiple times throughout the discussion. The response initially consisted of a refusal of both repairs and a refund. After additional documentation was provided, the offer changed to cleaning up paint on adjacent surfaces. Later, the position became that if I would not allow another walkthrough, there was nothing further that could be done. By that point, I no longer felt comfortable having additional work performed and felt that the concerns were being defended against rather than genuinely acknowledged. Every homeowner has different expectations when hiring a painter, and I can only speak to my own experience. Based on ours, I would strongly finding another contractor, or recommend obtaining clear written confirmation regarding coverage expectations, the number of coats included, repair standards, and how post-project concerns will be handled before work begins. I was ultimately able to get a claim approved through Yelp, as they acknowledged the shortcomings of this work.
