I met and worked with DaVinci on a previous project for a client (I am an interior designer). Leo and his crew did such an outstanding job I hired them for our personal primary bathroom "facelift". The Scope of Work included removal of a huge jacuzzi tub, carpet, tile, installing all new plumbing fixtures & drains, installing new tile floor, new countertops, removal and reinstall of existing cabinetry, paint, install chair rails, removal and installation of new state-of-the-art bidet toilet, prep for wallpaper, install new decorative/antique lighting and cans, new shower door, exhaust fans and ceiling heater, new valve for shower. The basic footprint of the bathroom stayed the same, but it feels like a completely new bathroom after completion. The crew is always outstanding, knowledgeable and work fast, but carefully. This is a fair and reasonably priced top notch company . They did a beautiful painting of our house which is tall with many varying architectural edges. They did careful interior painting as well with varying paint colors. They have replaced faucet/drain appliances in our kitchen. And most recently a vanity exchange w/ prep and touch up of the exposed paint (thank you Carlos!) in a powder room. I'd call out more of their staff, but can't remember everyone's names. Once again, Leo and his crew come through and save the day! I walked into my master bathroom to take a shower one morning last week, only to find a HUGE puddle of water around the base of my new toilet. I panicked because I was afraid that the water was going to damage my beautiful new floors that Leo had installed for me last year. So I shut off the water at the wall and mopped up the mess, then called Leo and left what I'm sure was a crazy sounding voicemail trying to explain the situation and asking if there was any chance that he or one of his guys could stop by in the next day or so to take a look at the leak. Well, imagine my surprise when Leo called back soon after to tell me that not only was he personally going to stop by that same afternoon, but he was also going to swing by the plumbing store on the way to get the part he needed to fix the problem on the same visit (turns out it was just the supply hose that needed to be replaced). And as promised, Leo stopped by later that afternoon with one of his guys, and in less than a half hour, they had the problem resolved and now it's good as new. This may seem like it was a small thing, but there is absolutely no price tag you can put on good customer service. Just look at my previous reviews for him over the past few years, and you'll see what I mean. Leo not only stands behind the work that he does, but he continues to be there for his customers on into the future as well. In an environment like today where it can be so difficult to find people to do quality work, and with a good attitude on top of it, Leo and his team stand out far above the rest. After getting a few quotes for painting the exterior of our house, we chose Da-Vinci. We could not be happier with our decision. A big factor in our decision was the high marks Leo consistently received for customer service in online reviews, and this was absolutely our experience as well. From my first call to Leo asking for a quote right through the project completion, Leo was responsive, attentive, and flexible. First class from start to finish. We had some schedule gyrations necessitated by a prolonged window installation project that immediately preceded the painting, and Leo worked with us on our multiple schedule changes. At one point, he even jumped in and helped us fix some dry-rot problems discovered during the window installation. Leo's painting crew, brothers Eillio and Abihu, immediately impressed us with their professionalism and character. They showed up bright and early on the first day and walked us around the house, explaining the sequence of steps they would follow and the rough timeline. They shared that they understood we had some dry rot, and explained what they would do for the caulking to minimize the risk of dry rot in the future. And then the brothers worked together cheerfully, doing a world-class job with the caulk maintenance, scraping, and all the other prep work, painting, touch-up, and clean-up. The attention to detail was exceptional. They were an absolute pleasure to have around. This was an A+ experience. We highly recommend Da-Vinci. These folks are a joke. After taking time off from work for them to come out and meet me and spend 2hrs while salesman is on the phone outside and just not mentally here for the walk through to provide an estimate. Two weeks later I call just to find out if they were still going to email an estimate. The lady explains how they misplaced it but now found it and would have it sent out to me by end of day. End of day came around and nothing, I call again and the person I talk to blames the secretary and she was the one that was going to send it (passing blame) and just made it seem as if they have me locked into a contract already and they can proceed however they please. Mind you that was the only experience I needed when it comes to understanding which contractor you would/wouldn't want to work with. Save your time and money, this place is very unorganized, and don't get yourself tied into a contract just to be disappointed. We just had our home painted by Da-Vinci Painting and we couldn't be happier! I had multiple painting companies create quotes, but their quote was the most thorough and detailed. Eddie was very helpful in making suggestions and worked with us on timing our job. All of the guys on the team were prompt, professional and hard working. Joaquin had us do a final walk through just to ensure we were satisfied with our results, which of course was we were. Their business office also made the scheduling, paint selection and payment very simple and Betty was very detail oriented and made sure we understood all the steps we needed to do throughout the process. Lastly , our home was not a simple job... peeling paint, 3 stories and a very steep pitched roof, with the heat wave on top of it! Well, they did get the ceiling painted as paid for....But, they left tape, and tape with paper EVERYWHERE! it took a lot of climbing a latter and time to clean up after them. We agreed that they were going to paint 3-6 inches down onto the wall....But, we had to re-paint full walls as the paint was EVERYWHERE! I do not think they protected much as I have been cleaning up mist powder of paint on counters, windows & trim, and our new floors. If you hire them just book yourself for 8 or more hours to clean up after them. We had planed to hire them to do the walls but that would have been crazy after the mess they left. read more

This was my first home project with Leo and his team. We needed to have our roof replaced and our house painted. This was a project we had put off for some time because we were intimidated by the cost. We received many "free" estimates over the years from unsolicited knocks on our door, and the price for the work was always eye popping. When we finally decided to get the project done, I turned to Yelp and requested an estimate from several sources. Da-Vinci was one of my options, specifically because of the great reviews. Leo responded promptly and came by to put together an estimate, and gave me plenty of time to consider the offer. That estimate was not only reasonable, but below what those helpful solicitors had offered for the same work. The team at Da-Vinci did an incredible job. They are hard working, professional, and fast. If you have ever had a roof replaced, you know that it is a major operation with special tools, supplies, and disposal of the old roof. Not only did they get the job done in only a few days, but after they were done there was no trace that they had ever been there...except for the fantastic looking roof. I'm still amazed out how efficient they were. I should add that I was not exactly the easiest client. I had to change the starting date several times, and had a few additional requests along the way. Leo and his team handled all of this with ease. The team is always quick to respond to questions, and nimble in altering plans, if necessary. Bottom line, if you need work done on your home, look no further than Da-Vinci. If you do need to get other estimates, definitely do that, but I expect if the reviews don't bring you back, their reasonable estimate will. I reached out to Da Vinci painting and spoke with Leo about having an estimator come out to the house for both interior/exterior painting. We decided on a day and time and.....no one showed. I get that things come up, but no one gave me a call or message. I ended up calling Leo and he apologized and said he'd have an estimator out the next day. The estimator shows up and lets me know that he'd send over the estimate later that evening or latest, the morning after. I never received an estimate until I reminded Leo via text message. At this point, I'm pretty annoyed and have already contacted a different painter. The icing on the cake was when they sent over an estimate (days later) that was incomplete. I had asked for an estimate of the entire interior and exterior of the house and they only emailed me an estimate for the interior. I emailed back asking about the exterior and Allison responded saying that Leo would get back to me on that. ........still waiting for a response. read more

DaVinci Painting And Construction came all the way from Portland to paint my house in Mount Angel. My old two story house was built in1912 and the previous estimate to paint it was for 35,000 thousand dollars! That seemed crazy. Leo came out and was so kind and his estimate was WAY below the other at 20,000. It really did require a lot of painting and scraping and caulking, because it hadn't been painted in twenty years and they spent more time on the actual prep than on the painting, which I have learned is the secret to a great paint job after watching some You Tube videos. ;) Overall, I'd say this was a great and trustworthy business with really kind bosses and super-hardworking employees. Although Leo did send two guys out to fix all the mess that the first crew left, it doesn't detract from the fact that the initial job was poorly completed. It took two guys almost ten hours to (mostly) fix everything the first crew messed up. In addition to the sloppy work on the walls and trim, there was paint splatter on our cabinets, appliances, and floors, even in our showers. Leo never once came out to the job site to see any of the work and his communication is severely lacking. I'm sure if you get his best crew, you will be fine, but I didn't get them. I've waited several weeks to write this review, so it's not written without some consideration. I hired Leo based on the reviews, so I don't feel right NOT posting my personal experience. read more
