The Blueprint LSAT course was pretty easy to use. There are 3 components to the course if you take the in person course. 1) online lessons: take the time to watch the videos that explain the question you are on. The videos and the answer explication are essential for understanding the question. 2) The booklet course work: this is what you bring with you to classes. It was helpful for me to reference back to when I wasn't in class or if I needed a quick review of the lesson I was studying. 3) The instructor: Ross Rineheart was an amazing instructor. He made the 3 hour courses every Tues and Thurs night bearable by silly puns and drawings he used to explain a concepts. I highly recommend this course because they were helpful getting me to understand the foundation of the LSAT exam. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with Blueprint LSAT Prep. Their so-called Score Increase Guarantee is nothing but a scam. They will find any tiny excuse not to honor it, even if you followed the program closely. When I requested my refund, they claimed I didn't follow one obscure direction buried in the fine print. They hide the real rules and expect students to magically know them. I invested my time, energy, and money believing in their guarantee, but they refused to refund me. I was hired by Blueprint as an LSAT instructor and tutor, and I will never be able to adequately describe the nightmare I had working for this abusive, toxic company. I enjoyed the training process, but the primary instructor and I simply were not a good fit together on my first course and, as a result, several students dropped the course or switched out. Blueprint blamed me for the attrition despite having no data tying student dissatisfaction to me specifically, and sent me a laundry list of criticisms that felt extremely disingenuous. Despite making sure to take all these criticisms seriously and implement them in my next class, they acted as if my performance was unsatisfactory and took me off all courses. They lied and told me that I could still keep the primary instructor position I was assigned, but took back that position despite assuring me that I could keep it. I asked to meet with the manager responsible for these decisions multiple times but he ignored my Slack messages and cowardly left the Operations Associate and another employee to relay his messages for him. I was then limited to just tutoring students, and for some time this went well. Unfortunately, one student behaved inappropriately and threatened me over the phone. I tried relaying this information to the Tutoring Manager, but to my shock and disgust, she defended the student, saying he was "stressed." Under no circumstances should a company turn a blind eye to the safety of their employees, but Blueprint did this without hesitation. Whenever a student had a complaint, they were always believed by the higher-ups here, whether they told the truth or not, and nothing I did or said mattered. Blueprint charges a pretty penny for their packages, but instead of paying the industry standard of $50/hour to their tutors, they only pay $30/hour. I have since moved on to different companies and have been treated with nothing but the utmost professionalism, respect, and appreciation, and I encourage everyone considering LSAT or MCAT prep to look elsewhere. AMAZING program with highly skilled teachers. I took the online course with Linette and Gerry. They are the ultimate STARS of the program, seriously. I took other office hours with teachers (who are all good... Theron is impressive as well), but they definitely stand out the most! Not only were they very accommodating, but they were great supporters to every single student. They gave us tons of strategies, broke down complex concepts, and showed us all the tools we needed to succeed. Additionally, we could always email them anytime we ever needed something, which is VERY helpful during this overwhelming process. This is a review for LIVE online course including my reviews for all instructors and Blue Print (BP) LSAT staffs. Before I signed up: Early in January this year, I emailed BP if they offered student discount. They did but you had to go to their on campus event, which I did. And I emailed them asking if I was eligible to receive discount. The team member Krysta replied me and asked my name so she could verify my name on their sign-in sheet. She couldn't find my name (don't know why but I did) so she rejected to give me a discount code. Didn't really feel she's helpful. One month later, when I almost wanted to sign up another prep course company, I received their email about promotion code for signing up their course. I used the code but there's a bug on my account and I couldn't see the course showed on the home page. The other team members, who were really friendly and responded to my question fast. During the prep course months, they are very open to my feedback. BTW, I personally really like the recorded online course as secondary study materials. They just need to have someone really proofread and double check the courses, small errors like bugs in the videos, typos, notes doesn't match the instructor's words, suggestions on improvement for the courses. For the live online course: you have access to two live courses, recorded courses, homework (with video explanations), and office hours, which are host by different instructors (I found my favorite instructors there! love their office hours) I don't feel there are much different than in person class. I can enjoy eating my dinner with my pajama while taking the class. I can come back and rewatch the live recorded courses if I have any questions on certain topics. The instructors I have Jelena Woehr as my instructor. She's nice. However, I found that her voice is tooooo sofffttt that almost makes me want to fall asleep every time I take her class. She doesn't have many notes from herself like other instructors (will talk about it later) I didn't really learn much from her, because mostly she goes over the book. Missed 3 or 4? out of 12 courses (replaced by Dylan, who I found is the best! ). For other instructors, my reviews for them are based on office hours mostly. I love office hours and I think it will be a great if BP can open some free office hours for people who want to sign up the course and find the instructor they like. Jelena's course time was the best that can work for my schedule when I signed up, and I had no clue which instructor is better for live online course. If I knew whose class I wanted to take, I would sign up for the instructor's courses that I was sure to take. - Instructor Dylan Gadek: 5 stars! he sub for Jelena 3 courses and I found that he has great knowledge of what he's teaching. Funny guy. his class is very structure. has lots of his own notes and methods. you clearly know what you expected to learn from each of his class. I am still taking ALL his office hours. He's been teaching LSAT for years, and he used to teach MCAT. I found that LR & RC are his strongest part of teaching. - Instructor Chris Whyte: 5 Stars. He and Dylan are the top 1 instructor at BP from my opinion. He's really good at LG and RC. really knows what he's talking about and well prepared for every office hours. - Instructor Kyle: hmmmm..... I took his office hours for digital LSAT 101 topic. I am not sure if he's not prepared or what, the whole video, he seemed like really don't know what happened. 90% of time he said: hmmm.. but.. yea..." and he said "I don't what I am talking about lol " I had to use 1.5 x SPEED to listen his whole video. In the video he seemed like he's just reading the scripts? not really well prepared for this office hours. If I watch this video before signing up the course, I would not choose him as my instructor because I really don't want to spend money on instructors who are not prepared for the course. FYI to anyone who cares about women: Despite what I was assured before purchasing the course, Blueprint's material STILL CONTAINS SEXIST LANGUAGE/EXAMPLES For example: "the only way to convince her to take you back is with jewelry". Seem mundane? Or like I'm being too sensitive? It's not and I'm not. It's oppressive language that undermines women's equality without necessarily raising major red flags of "this is sexism!", and thus, insideously reinforces sexism. Even worse, you're not really supposed to read into the prompt because you're being taught to learn the structure rather than absorb the material so it feels like you're being brainwashed. In a twist of irony, the day before I came upon the above language, Blueprint's blog had a featured post about how something like 1 of 3 women in law report being sexually harassed. Conditional statements? Soft Must Be True? Necessary/Sufficient? Crux? Parallel Flaw? Tiered ordering games? Mapping games? Unstable grouping games? Say whaaaat???.... To say I was overwhelmed by LSAT prep, would be a gross understatement. This test is a nightmare and preparing for it can make you want to pull your hair out (but please don't)! Blueprint is one of the better LSAT prep courses available in that it does a great job breaking down difficult concepts into smaller, digestible components, and outlining the best way to approach each question type. On the other hand, I got the sense that their live-course is almost designed to overwhelm students by dumping an unwieldy load of new material at one time, for even those who made this their full-time job! So, while I do think Blueprint offers excellent resources and pretty decent quality instruction, the fast paced courses they offer are a clear indication that "course repetition" is at the heart of their business model. This initial impression was further solidified when the Blueprint team emailed me on the last day of class with the message below, outlining several options available to those who want to study beyond the run of the course "for whatever reason"...maybe it's because you move too fast...just a thought.... "1. Retaking the course. Double your pleasure at a great discount ($776 with new books, $600 without new books). 2. Blueprint: The Movie 2.0. The same great course with the Blueprint sense of humor you know and love, but in the comfort of your own home and discounted for previous students! This new and improved course is taught by Trent and Matt and features hand-drawn animation to illustrate important LSAT concepts. The course is normally $825 including shipping, but you can enroll for only $626, which includes a new set of books or $400 without a new set of books. Like some of the negative reviews below, they're correct in that the instructor makes way too many jokes and talks too much about things unrelated to the LSAT. The book has an excessive amount of caption bubbles that are extremely distracting. Overall this course is for people that want an animated instructor and kill time. The course is not helpful if you don't have time to study outside of class. The classes are long and you need to put aside time to study on your own unless you're super smart. The LSAT is boring. It is. No arguing with that. But Blueprint does an amazing job of making it waaaaay less boring. Would I say, it's completely not boring? No. But it's the LSAT and I think Blueprint's staff does a good job of making it as fun as possible. If you can take classes with Trent in particular I'd recommend it. He's hilarious. After researching several different LSAT prep courses, I ultimately decided to go with Blueprint. Spencer Robins was recommended to me by a friend of a friend, and I had heard from some of my peers that are now in law school that you absolutely could not go wrong with Blueprint. As an instructor, Spencer is incredible. He himself received a 179 on the LSAT, and it's clear through his teaching methods why he did. He's funny, engaging, and genuinely cares about the success of students. He frequently stays after class to answer any questions we have, and he doesn't half-ass any of his explanations. I've seen a 17 point increase thus far through taking his class - which I definitely don't think would have been possible had I not enrolled in the course. I took the live class with Spencer Robins, and I think he is a phenomenal instructor. He is funny, energetic, loud and extremely knowledgeable about the exam, which as you can expect makes a huge difference in teaching delivery. His teaching style and the way he engaged each and every one of us in the class made the LSAT that much more bearable. Blueprint has earned 5 stars from me for being a great LSAT preparation company that has indeed helped me increase 17 points from my initial diagnostic to test day (December 2017). I am certain that taking the LSAT would likely have not been a reality had I not built the confidence to do so with the help of the Blueprint course and staff. The class was moderately sized, air-conditioned, easily accessible, and viewer friendly from all angles. In my opinion, however, the first two rows are where it's at. I would recommend Blueprint to anyone studying for the LSAT. The course was engaging, fun, and easy to follow along with. That being said, if you do not study significantly outside of the course you will not improve greatly. Blueprint gives you the tools to succeed but it is up to you to learn them and practice. The classroom course gives you access to lots of homework and practice tests on an easy to use and well thought out app. My instructor, Kyle, explained concepts clearly, was uplifting, and motivated me to work hard. I chose Blueprint because I noticed that one instructor in particular had an insane amount of good press here on Yelp. I was not disappointed, Spencer is amazing. Max stars. He makes the material accessible (he's very funny), and he made spending 8 hours a week in a classroom after being in intense traffic palatable. Blueprint's online sources are useful and their app is generally bug free and easy to use. 4 stars because I was a little disappointed that when I reached a point where I had used all the online games, the solution offered was to pay for an additional almost $200 subscription. This is an infrequent problem I hear, I was just a little frustrated that there wasn't something that could be worked out considering the amount I paid for the class initially. For me I realized the move would have been to not max out the games on the homework in order to save more games for the month-month and half prior to the actual LSAT. All in all it is an expensive experience. Such is the LSAT. I made the choice that taking the class with Spencer was worth the high cost of parking, traffic, and going through a more expensive service. I was not sorry. read more

Worst Instructor Ever! I might as well gone with the videos alone. Although he has the potential for greatness, he was at times disengaged and dismissive. I felt discouraged and belittled every time I had a question. I was never able to get his minimal attention to my concerns with the exercise and/or the homework during the breaks or after class because he was often on his phone and would not even make eye contact. He never responded to emails. He displayed preferential treatment to some students while, completely neglecting others. I ended up tutoring myself with the videos because that was my safest bet. I do not know that this is the case for all Blueprint instructors, and the reason I feel compelled to write this review it's because as a consumer I feel I did not get what I paid for. I paid extra because I needed the structure and the encouragement of a class setting... and in the end I got more results sitting at Starbucks by myself watching Matt and Trent on a computer. I signed up with Blue print because I got awesome recommendations. I fully committed myself to this endeavor because in live you can only get what you put in... However this was not the case. I changed my fulltime job to part time to fully concentrate in the LSAT prep. I wanted that extra ratification of having a live body teaching me and helping me with the course. I drove 3 hours 3 times a week to be able to attend class. I studied for 12 hours a day almost everyday. I had great motivation to do the best I could... however Blueprint with all its fanfare and its great features failed me on the part of my instructor. The only complaint I have in regards to the program itself is that it moves too fast across the material and students end up having to re-take the course and/or repay for the videos. I feel there needs to be more time for this course in general; otherwise the material truly is GREAT. The books, the videos, their website was AWESOME. I was able to log my progress and focus on the areas that I was lacking. I'm truly satisfied in terms of what I had to work with. I recommend the program as I stated before the materials are excellent, as for the instructor in my personal experience... it was not worth it. I heart Blueprint for many reasons, not the least of which is my shiny post-class LSAT score that enabled me to go to one of the best law schools in the country. I read a previous review that mentioned that the class was only good for students who had somewhat flexible schedules and weren't working professionals. I did not find that to be the case at all. I was in the middle of a career and decided to go back to law school. I worked every day, then twice a week, I made my way to Westwood Village for class. Of course, it made for a really long day on class days, but if you have decent time management skills, it is doable (and I still managed to complete most of the problems assigned for homework, even if it meant working on them during my lunch breaks). In any event, I had been so intimidated by the LSAT that I gave up on going to law school. My Blueprint class actually made the LSAT fun -- and trust me, I never thought I could use "LSAT" and "fun" in the same sentence! Matt Riley is a fantastic teacher and not only did I like him as a person, I loved being in class with him. Yes, it's crowded. Yes, in the summer, it's hot. However, I didn't miss a single class and I attribute that to what a great job he did in engaging those of us in the class. I felt prepared for every moment of the day of the LSAT, from waiting in line before the test to crappy logical reasoning questions, to "new" types of logic games...at least they seemed new to all of us until Riley wisely pointed out they were a form we already learned. Overall, I went from -32 to -8 on the LSAT, a score improvement of 17 points. I improved from -10 on logic games to -0, consistently. A weak spot of Blueprint is that there isn't much they can do to teach you reading comp, but that isn't a weakness of Blueprint so much as any test prep company. However, the methods they taught for attacking the reading comp section took me from getting -10 to -2 or -3 on each test. I can be diva-like and demand nothing but the best for myself. If you want the best for a good price, take Blueprint. If you want to throw your money down the drain, send me a check for the difference between Blueprint and their competitors, and then still take Blueprint. read more

I took the course down in Irvine/Newport Beach with Jay Donnell and while the course was engaging and relaxed, the material was laid out logically and coherently. He's a great teacher and was willing to stay late, answer your dumbass questions, and even bought us pizza during tests. I've also sat in on Matt's classes and the same level of teaching quality is reflected across their staff. They know their stuff. You're there to work your ass off, do well on a test that counts for up to 70% of your application, and hopefully get into a good enough school where the cycle repeats itself. Yeah, I could have done with less of the sexual puns/jokes in the books etc but overall the class is structured well and the core concepts taught in a easy to digest manner. I'm happy with my "" and my acceptances into top "" schools. Without Blueprint, I think I would've been too damn lazy to study effectively. That being said, I just have say to the reviewers who gave the one stars--how are you going to survive law school and law firm life if you cannot deal with a few harmless jokes and your own debilitating fear on being called upon? During the time in my life when I thought I wanted to go to law schools & be a lawyer, I signed up for Blueprint because who can resist those sexy ads on Bruin walk? Although I ended up not going to law school & pursuing a career in medicine..... LSAT was still very helpful!! THE BEST! I had Trent as my instructor and he makes each lesson entertaining & informational. He was crude, rude, HILARIOUS, ridiculously smart & a great teacher. He knew exactly what he was doing & he knew exactly how to make you ace the LSAT. The books were great. Really helpful & a ton of practice problems. Each lesson was super helpful. They taught you exactly how to tackle each type of LSAT question...literally EVERY TYPE. By the end of the session you knew exactly how to solve each problem...with a little bit of practice of course. I started out with a score of 143 and by the time I finished Blueprint I had a 163. I think I could have done better with more practice...but it was a fun summer that year and I just couldn't find the discipline. But hey!! I improved by 20 points!!!! That's gotta tell you something!!! I also know a lot of people that took Blueprint and ended up in the 160s or the 170s. You really can't compare any other program out there to Blueprint. Blueprint specializes in the LSAT & only the LSAT unlike other preps. they also offer special classes for writing your personal statement, or even special classes for those who want to only practice logic games. Okay, so I am just about finished with the Blueprint Movie and I think it has been a fantastic experience. There isn't a lot of info given on Blueprint's website before you purchase the movie. You get to watch video lessons from 1-16, audio lessons of the same thing, logic game explanations in .pdf and video form for 3 - 8 games per lesson, logical reasoning from lesson 1-16 in audio form, and 2+ quizes per lesson. The great thing with the audio and video explanations is the fact that it covers harder lesson questions as well as the homework. Of course they don't explain every question in the entire book, but they have done a good job picking difficult ones most people need help with. You can also email a "study buddy" who will help you out so you are not toally going it alone. I took the in class version and we went so fast on certain thing and wasted time on others. I had fatigue by working full time and then having class until 10. The video is better because you go at your own place and you don't waste time with dumb comments/questions made by other students, etc. I feel this is a great value and I wish I would have chosen the video instead of the class the first time around. I know there is a lot of prep stuff out there, but this is a dang good foundation. Worth the coin??? not sure. read more

As competitive as law school is now becoming, test preparation is a virtual necessity. So many hopefuls want to get into law school and yet it's not like schools really expand their incoming class size year over year. Furthermore, amidst the current recession, it seems that taking the LSAT is almost as popular as popping aderol during finals week (hey, I said almost ok). The biggest misconception is that test preparation is the panacea to all of life's scary problems but the truth is that YES the LSAT is a difficult test. YES, for many people it can be stressful. And YES, God forbid, it actually takes some work in order to master this thing. But what is also truth is that I honestly can't imagine why anyone who takes Blueprint and approaches their studying with judicious seriousness shouldn't be able to see HUGE improvement. When I first started studying for the LSAT, I was missing 14 questions on reading comprehension (talk about sucking monster monkey cock) and yet on the actual test I missed only 1. My point is not to try and tell everyone how great I am (although I am great btw), it's to illustrate that if you're not a natural talent then Blueprint can seriously help your score. Some people say that Blueprint costs too much and yeah, I guess it is a lot in an absolute sense (I mean, that's a lot of drugs or hookers or whatever) but in all seriousness it's actually monstrously cheaper than other companies AND likely the best program around. It is through their program that we students gain time-utility. Yeah, I could probably figure out everything Blueprint has figured out, but I don't have two years of my life to deconstruct what Blueprint lays out for me on a platter - for this, I'd rather just pay for information so I can go do productive stuff like level up playing WoW. In conclusion, Blueprint quite literally bends over all the other test preparations companies and goes to town on them. It's quite simply the most entertaining, the most engaging, the most well-rounded and comprehensive material, and has some of the best instructors. Word to the wise though, make sure you supplement their courses with hard work or else it's, like Testmasters' lawsuit, completely frivolous. read more

I read good reviews about Spencer and despite him only teaching at the Westwood location, which is 20 miles away from where I live (an hour and fifteen-minute drive in traffic for me) I decided to sign up for his class. Let me start by saying that Spencer is an awesome instructor. I feared that taking an in-class course would be very boring but Spencer made the class entertaining and engaging. Going into the course, I knew nothing about proper approach for the exam, how to set up logic games, nor how to maximize my time. Spencer taught us all of that as well as some of his personal tips, which he used to score a 179 on his LSAT exam. Those tips alone are what make taking the class in person more valuable than just taking the online Blueprint course. I just took the LSAT this past Saturday, December 3rd, and although I don't feel like I did my best on the exam, it was mainly because my busy schedule did not allow me enough time to study the material as much as I would have liked to. Originally I was disappointed with Blueprint because of a customer service mishap that occurred when I tried to purchase the online course, but now I'm as happy with Blueprint as a rapper in a strip club. Blueprint's owners read about my gripe with their company on Yelp and then personally called me up to make amends. I wont tell you exactly what they did for me, because I don't want their kindness to be taken for weakness by the opportunists of the Yelpisphere. (You know who you are!) I will say however, that their response was admirable and right on time. From my recent experience with Blueprint I learned that you CAN trust these guys. Trust is a big thing to consider when ordering an online LSAT training program, because you wan't to know that you won't be left hanging out to dry when you run into a question about the material or the technological functions of the program. Nothing should leave you more stressed on test day than a list of unanswered questions from your test prep company. I can't wait to see how effective the course is. I just got a nice box of books with a step-by-step lesson plan in the mail today. Everything looks nice and organized, which is soothing to my OCD. I am so happy that I listened to my friends and decided to take Blueprint for my LSAT prep class. I have no doubt in my mind that no other program is as engaging as this one. There's no way I could have learned so much about the LSAT without my instructor, who was engaging but also made the test more fun and class more enjoyable. The materials are well presented and have humor mixed with simple breakdowns of the different questions. Everything is classified in an orderly system which makes it easier to keep track of what you're doing. Some of the complaints in here talk about focusing too much on homework. That's simply not true. BP has more hours of instruction than any other LSAT course and if 4 hours per class isn't enough for you, I'm not sure what you are expecting. Yes, once you learn a concept, you do have to apply it by doing homework problems. That's how learning works; if anyone here is expecting a magical solution to a test that is 100% skill based (meaning memorizing won't help whatsoever) then perhaps you shouldn't take any prep course at all because they will all lead to similar disappointment. Blueprint was a great experience for me. So great, in fact, that I went on to become an instructor for the company. And I can honestly say that all of my colleagues are nothing short of professional. I do not come to work hung over and discuss drug use (unless it is mentioned in the exam, of course) and my colleagues do not either. I am also confident that if any student mentioned such an issue regarding my class on their survey review, I would get a call from the office immediately. 14 point improvement. That should be the extent of my review, but I'd better explain... I'm writing this while in my first semester of 1L at a top 25 law school (with a fatty scholarship), and with a lackluster undergrad GPA I can only thank my LSAT score (and Blueprint) for getting me here. I took the LSAT twice and completed the Blueprint course before the second try. The result was a 14 point improvement, putting me in the top 7% of test takers. Dan M. at Westwood is pretty much the best instructor ever...oh did I mention he scored a 180? He actually makes the material interesting and pretty funny. Most importantly though, he makes you want to challenge yourself and improve. Dan always addresses specific questions really well during class, but that doesn't stop him from giving up his time before or after class for one on one help. He's also knowledgeable about law school and the application process in general. Although any prep course is about your willingness to work, I believe Blueprint has a superior method and instructors that make the studying part of it more manageable. The online resources are amazing. They have audio/video explanations as well as PDFs for certain questions. And don't bother buying any supplemental books or practice exams because this course comes with every LSAT question or exam ever released! I took a prep class at TestMasters and was really unsatisfied. I never got really comfortable with their method of teaching, which was overly complex and not intuitive at all. The whole vibe was too cold. Fortunately I had a friend who was raving about how awesome Blueprint was and decided to give it a shot. Blueprint was well worth every dollar I spent. I managed to have a fun time while managing to be engaged the whole time I was in class. I like that the teachers at Blueprint emphasize having fun while learning. Law school is sterile enough as it is, no need to start during LSAT prep! I was able to fine tune my games section skills and really bumped up my LR score. Go to Blue Print if you want to learn in a comfortable atmosphere with teachers who will go the extra mile for you to do your best! I'm sooo happy I chose Blueprint for my LSAT prep. I had originally signed up with Princeton Review for an online course, but decided that I needed to take a course with a live instructor. I decided on Blueprint after a classmate raved about it. It was walking distance from my school and the pricing was pretty good - it was better priced than Princeton Review or Kaplan, especially for what it offers. Pluses: 1. The lesson plans and workbook are extreeeeemely helpful. They use REAL LSAT problems from previous tests instead of making up their own. This gave me security knowing that I wasn't practicing on "fake" questions that could differ from the real test. 2. The lesson plan was very well thought-out. There was a very logical progression from learning one question type to another, and there was a good balance between learning all three sections - logical reasoning, logic games, and reading comp - instead of tackling each of them one at a time. 3. The online resources were PHENOMENAL. They go in-depth into a lot of problems. There's even a blog that they keep to help you with the rest of the process of applying to law school. 4. The instructors/book were fun and enjoyable. My instructor was Brad, and he made each 4-hour class fly by like it was nothing. He was knowledgeable, funny, and very patient. I actually looked forward to going to class. 5. Their methodology for helping out my timing was also very effective. We had a few time trials and practice tests, which really increased my stamina for the real test. Granted, you have to put a lot of your own work into it - you can't just go to class and expect magic to happen. Fantastic Program!!! What I got.. 1. class 2. video ugprade 3. tutoring I had an amazing experience with blueprint and I highly recommend it. I took it twice, but it wasn't because of blueprint. I was just incredibly lazy and i was like I don't give a fuuuuuuuuu!! Anyways.. Teachers Jennifer (first time, condensed course) She was immensely funny and did her absolute best to make sure you understood the material whether it be with stories about her platypus or baby penises. The only minor problems with her style for me was that she talked a little too fast, especially during the toughest subjects for me. She was however very willing to talk to students before and after class, plus during the break! given the nature of the condensed course however, it's understandable why she had to keep moving. There was simply not enough time. ***My course started like in October and ended in December. For me, the class moved wayyyyy too fast and there was sooooo much homework to do in a short amount of time. I tried for the first week but later i was like fuck this shit!!!!1 Matt (second time, earliest July course) Matt is the creator of blueprint and he was my teacher for the second time!! He was my most favorite out of the three, quite possibly because it was wayyy more relaxed than the condensed course! Anyways, he is very amusing, gives everyone nick names and is really good at teaching the material. He never played favorites and was more than willing to help out students, whether it be before, during or after class! Oh and emails!! I emailed him like 300000 emails a day and he responded to every single one!! His talking speed was also very good for me. Fast enough were I didn't lose my attention but slow enough to make the toughest of materials easier to digest. *** He also really understands what his students are going through and does his best to help you remain sane throughout the whole ordeal. But for me, I need much more than the LSAT in human form. * I have heard from my friends that have taken the class with Dan that he will stop teaching once time is up, even if the lesson isn't finished. Matt and Jenn will go over the time to finish the lesson. Videos I thought these were absolutely fantastic! Considering that sometimes during class you skip certain questions to move on. I loved how I could rewatch certain chapters over and over again to drill it into my brain so even when I sleep i dreamt about games. If you ever skip class these are a definite must!! Tutoring (Raina) Okay, I went all out 100%. I got the premium tutoring at $1000 and I honestly felt it helped me. I got to spend 1 on 1 time with Raina (my tutor) and she really broke things down for me and we really worked on the things that were the most difficult for me. I know that I could ask as many questions as I wanted in class, but it's just not the same as having someone to yourself for a whole hour. Spencer is the man. I cannot say enough great things about his class. But let me give it a shot: Spencer is funny. BP takes great care to make sure their material is entertaining and humorous, but Spencer takes it up a notch or 5, making the classroom something to look forward to. It's no secret that the LSAT is pretty dry subject matter. But Spencer's class is fun. Class often took off on seemingly tangential paths where we'd explore topics like his fascination with YouTube cat videos or the Fast & Furious sequels. (My favorites were his personal theories about certain question writers at LSAC. Like "questions about animals farting guy" and "surgery without anesthesia guy") But the crazy thing is that these weren't actually random tangents at all, but rather, opportunities he created to incorporate the lesson material in new and interesting ways. Spencer is an LSAT genius. Who gets a 179 with self study - besides Elle Woods? This guy. His grasp of the material is just remarkable. He was never stumped by a student's question and was always able to break down the material in ways that were so elementary it made you feel like, "Oh, I hadn't thought of it that way. But it makes so much sense now." One time, after he had expertly dismantled a truly wicked logic game on the board like it was nothing, a student straight-up called him a wizard. True story. Spencer is a gifted teacher. What puts his course over the top is his ability to marry his humor and LSAT knowledge in order to relay the material effectively. You know those instructors who are experts on a subject but just fail at teaching it to others? Spencer is not one of those instructors. He's got the goods in spades and delivers them like a champ. Improving on the LSAT requires training yourself to think in a very specific way. And Spencer helps you train that part of your brain. If I had just taken the online course alone, I would not have the much-improved understanding that I do now. Spencer cares about your improvement. He stays late to help answer individual student questions and is really good about being available by email to answer questions on course material and overall LSAT strategy. He is never condescending and is always encouraging when responding to a student struggling to answer a question. Even when a student would give an incorrect answer, Spencer wouldn't say, "No, that's not right." He would instead respond by focusing positively on the correct portion of the student's answer and would further encourage that with affirmative nudges in the right direction until the student had come to the right answer through self-corrected understanding. There were no bad answers in his class. He looks out for his students and makes the classroom a safe place to improve. Never a dull class. I should know because I went to every one, in part, because I never wanted to miss one. Worth every penny. I feel like enrolling in Spencer's class is probably one of the most important steps I've taken in my academic career. I've improved 9 points so far, and expect to improve more before the test. I would emphatically recommend his class to anyone looking to prepare for the LSAT. read more

I am over 50 and decided to attend law school, I enrolled in other courses such as Kaplan, magoosh, LSATmax and Khan academy (which is free), this is by far the best course I took. There is no comparison, I am taking the course online and bought a couple tutor hours, I am so impressed with the quality of the whole program that I look forward to studying and even logic games. Do not waste your money on anything else, if you want a chance on the LSAT, this is the way to go! Good luck ! read more

I did the self study program and loved it! The video lessons are clear and funny and they have a ton of practice tests available. I scored 160 on my first practice test (literally not knowing what the test covered, how long it was, etc) and ended up scoring between 173 and 176 on my last couple practice tests. (Unfortunately, I was medicated from a hip surgery when I took the real thing which made me all foggy-headed and dropped my score to 167.) How do you make a seemingly impossible test seem possible? By taking one of the best LSAT prep courses in existence. Took the course with Derek. Much better than any other LSAT course by the simple argument that I cannot imagine any other course being more effective than this. Test is broken down beautifully and they give LOTS OF MATERIAL to study from. They also provide a TON of information and absolutely crucial strategies that would be very hard to come up with without taking the course itself. I took the January 2019 class and had Spencer as my instructor. For starters, he is fantastic and if you're looking for an in person class, seriously look no further. He also has an unique ability to keep a 4 Hr class fun and interesting while teaching in a way where I was really able to grasp the concepts. I ended up increasing my score 20 points from ~50th percentile to over 90th percentile which is literally life changing in terms of law school admissions.
