I originally loved this community bc of the discussion and the way Trevor picks apart to Bible in a very theological manner. However, there have been certain sermons where I realize his personal bias has come to play. I originally felt this over a year ago when he spent a sermon talking about how he would not go into politics but he did want to show Biblical matter on how the Jewish people/Israel are the chosen people of God and what they are "owed". Pro-Israel propaganda in a time of innocent blood shed felt inappropriate. During my multiple visits, we have never prayed for the poor innocent lives lost in Gaza, but a whole sermon on what Israel is owed. Unfortunate, but I swallowed this discomfort as it was the only church I really connected to. Recently, Trevor spoke about why evil exists in this world and projected a picture containing Charlie Kirk nearly the entire time. Conflation and idolatry of Charlie Kirk has risen in alt-right conservative Christians. They preach he was murder due to his religious beliefs however this person cannot be separated from his political beliefs. The church is no place for US politics and yet the community goers feel comfortable wearing very political shirts to this church. It is unfortunate that a preacher would promote their own personal bias for political indoctrination to the community that trusts him to lead them. I will not go back. God does not allow idolatry and I will not allow it in my faith as well. They also recently moved to a newer location. I loved the old location due to the charm and character is gave the community. It now gives the vibe of a smaller vous miami or hillsong. No identity.
