I originally came to Alyssa for cut and color. We had discussed extensions a few times because I wanted more volume, but after having a really bad experience with tape-in extensions (not this salon) I was nervous to try extensions again, but Alyssa answered every question I had and made me feel completely comfortable giving it another shot. Here we are a year later and my hair is still healthy and thriving, which is a HUGE deal to me. She didn't just reassure me my hair could handle it, she proved it. Beyond being incredibly talented, Alyssa is genuinely so fun to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and makes every appointment feel like such a great experience. The salon itself is also amazing. They communicate appointments well, everyone is welcoming the second you walk in, and they always offer tea, water, or other fun drinks. You can truly tell the employees are happy to be there and work well together as a team, which makes the entire experience feel elevated and relaxing every single visit.

My experience was similar to the 1 star reviews below. Short version: Took my deposit then stopped communicating altogether for the past 4 months. Details: Had to reschedule my wedding to a new date due to COVID-19. I had already paid the deposit. Brooke was initially responsive and understanding, our communication was smooth. She confirmed that my deposit was non-refundable but that she could re-book me with a new deposit for my future date which she confirmed they would be able to do. I agreed and she said she would send me a new contract. I never got a contract. She stopped responding thereafter. No response to my three follow up emails or my two phone calls to her business in the subsequent four months. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt -- busy with all the wedding date changes, , financially difficulties in light of COVID-19 -- maybe they had closed altogether! .... but then I saw that someone posted to their instagram account 5 days ago. Clearly she is not interested in working with me anymore. Would have been nice to get some communication back that they could not or would not be able to accommodate my wedding.

Later, I received text messages stating that I could not schedule any future appointments until I paid the deposit because I had allegedly missed an appointment, but not thinking that it was actually booked until I paid it! This creates unnecessary confusion and miscommunication about whether the deposit is actually required. If the deposit is mandatory, the booking system should consistently enforce that policy, and not allow you to book without payment! I also do not appreciate being contacted through personal text messages regarding an alleged balance. If the business believes I owe a fee, I would expect a formal invoice or written documentation through the appropriate business channels. Repeated text messages requesting payment are not a professional way to handle billing matters. Definitely will take my 450.00 elsewhere!
