I would HIGHLY recommend this business. I struggle with self image and decided to give eyelash extensions a go. I have had nothing but positive experiences here, specifically with Dewy. He was very patient and understanding that I had no idea what I was getting in to and helped me decide on a natural look for my first go and a doll eye from then on. This small change helped me feel beautiful for the first time in years. I also broke my arm and my lashes survived lots of tears plus every ER nurse gave me a compliment LOL I've also seen a review saying that the techs don't speak English which isn't true. Most, if not all, of the employees have Vietnamese as their first language. I personally have never had a problem understanding their accent and if I did I'm sure they would be happy to repeat themselves. Nancy does my lashes at the location in Issaquah and she is the best. She does a great job, takes her time and makes sure both sides look perfect every time! Even taking off old lashes is easy and relaxing. When I went to A+ iLash they pick and pull the old lashes off, but at MIA's they apply a gel that doesn't sting or itch. After a few minutes the old lashes come right off. I love that she gives my lashes a little lash bath each time I come in before starting on a new set or even a fill. I had my eyebrows and eyeliner tattoo done by Hien. I was always afraid of having my eyebrows done. I had a fear of having crooked eyebrows or looking angry or surprised permanently! Hien was wonderful about educating me and suggested ombré eyebrows. She marked all the lines first and asked my opinion. I decided to book an appointment with Thuy at this eyelash place which was today around 10:00 AM. So I find the boutique and figure out where to park , I just parked on the street near the boutique. It's actually really easy to find the shop, outside they have wording that says " eyelash extensions " so I figured that's the place! You have to go inside the building where the eyelash extensions place is that is shared with other businesses , but literally when you open the first door into the building you'll see a door with Mia's eyelash Boutique, when you open the door you enter such a cute and relaxing space! I was immediately greeted with Thuy she was a sweetheart , super friendly & welcoming. She sitted me down letting me sign a paper just to make sure once the service is done I'll pay no matter what, so i signed it and gave that back to her. Then She introduced me to some examples of the type of lash designs which pictures which was really helpful because I was indecisive of what I wanted , finally made a choice and went with doll eye , volume set. It's about $150 for that set. So she brings me over to this table where you lay down and she preps you for eyelash extensions. Which didn't take too long. Just making sure your eyelashes are clean for the extensions. What I loved about Thuy is you can tell she puts quality into her work , she filled so much & made my dream come true. It was honestly very relaxing at the same time with soft music playing in the background I asleep fell asleep hehe. Took about an hour to finish, but so worth it. She handed me a mirror OH MY GOSH, I was so in love! My eyelashes were so FULL, so FLUFFY & the volume was there! It felt like nothing was literally there, so light weight and comfortable ! I was beyond happy with the end result, I couldn't stop looking. So we went to the iPad to pay for the service I didn't know at this time there was a 20% OFF promo which Is amazing for what I got!! So I ended up paying $120 plus tipped her $5 which ended up being $125! Which is a steal for the set I got. I'm really loving this place , my lash lady Thuy, I cant wait to come back for a fill with her. She did AMAZING. I usually come here and book with Thuy but since I no longer see her on Vagaro, I booked for extreme volume with TiTi. Instead of telling me she couldn't do what I had booked for before putting on the lash extensions, she just went ahead and did hybrid volume without consulting with me first. She was talking the whole time to her colleague too so it would've been nice if she just talked to me and told me that she can't do extreme volume and can only do hybrid volume. I'm very unhappy especially since I don't like how it turned out and that I had to pay for the service I didn't even want when she could've just told me beforehand she couldn't do it. I wouldn't have wasted 2.5 hours of my time and money. I was upset, I didn't know what to say and just paid and left. Update: Miscalculated the time and it was only for 1.5 hours. Even if she only did charge me for hybrid volume, it would've been nice if she just communicated that she was going to do the hybrid volume before starting. I still paid for the service since she did put her time in. The owner is now accusing me of making multiple accounts instead of double checking and seeing the differences in names and phone numbers and that I've recommended family members. I've been going to Thuy since 2018 and if you see my history with Vagaro, I cancel appointments ahead of time if I can't make it. read more

I've been seeing Titi for a few months now and I absolutely love her! Let's start off with saying I've been struggling for the last 6-7 years finding a lash tech that wouldn't give me glue burns. Ok, I did not want to leave this review. But I feel like after the completely negligent behavior after I contacted Pilalak about my eyes becoming swollen and irritated, that people should know what kind of service, and furthermore, what type of lash technician they should expect. I will make this as short, clear and simple as possible for such an extreme situation. 1. When I arrived, she still had someone on her table. She asked me to wait for 20 min... no big deal I guess. Even tho that gave me 10 min to make it to my next meeting. I was there and needed my lashes done! 2. When she was finishing up the full set, she had to spend about 5 minuets detaching my lashes from my lids and my lower lashes. This was the first time I've ever felt pain while getting my lashes done. But the end result made me so happy I looked past all of this! Her volume lashes are very beautiful. 3. When it came time to schedule my fill, I started noticing my eyes getting itchy, and sore. 4. The day of our appointment for my fill, she text me at midnight asking to reschedule for the next day that she was feeling a cold coming on. This was unprofessional to say the least. Especially considering that she agreed to see me the very next day! Making me believe she wasn't having any cold symptoms in the first place. But again, life happens. I looked past it and scheduled again. 5. This is when I made Pilalak aware of my eyes becoming swollen and irritated. She said to wait till the swelling went down to come back in, that I most likely had pulled one out... 6. The next day my other eye became swollen and so painful I reached out again to ask if she could remove the final lashes I had on because I was afraid the glue was giving me this reaction. She responded to wait a couple days to remove them and that it wasn't her glue. 7. By the time she replied I had already had an emergency removal done by someone else. My eyes are so swollen and I'm in so much pain! I was told the lash glue was applied directly to my eye lid and that was what was causing my pain during grow out. 8. I told Pilalak all about this and she wouldn't even acknowledge or apologize for her EXTREME MISTAKE! I was left in pain and she would do nothing but tell me to keep waiting and waiting. Thank god I went somewhere else! They removed them painlessly and I'm already. A week later and my eye lid is still swollen and painful. This business has done nothing to help, and keeps insisting it couldn't have been anything they have done. read more

My biggest conflict was the fullness of my fill for the price I paid. It was $85 for a two week fill (in my opinion that's overpriced, my original lady only charges $60 and she fills me up 2x more). Other than that, some PROs were scheduling and responsiveness was quick and easy and the lash application process was sanitary and professional. Anna, the owner, supports cancer survivors and mothers of terminally ill children. Whether you are looking to wake up feeling like Beyonce or add a little fullness to your lashes, these women will take amazing care of you! They use vegan, organic products of the highest quality to ensure there is no irritation to such sensitive skin. The lashes are not waxy or plastic and truly give you the fullness you are looking for with extensions. I went to Mia's for about 6 months and always get compliments. This year I had to relocate across the country to caretake for sick parents. I had lashes put on at a salon in South Carolina on a Thursday. Friday I woke up with my eyes swollen and crusty, feeling like they were on fire. I was flying home to Seattle for the first time in 4 months and got stuck in a flight delay, further extending the time and irritation of the lashes I had put on in SC. I called Mia's on Sunday to see about a removal. Anna called me back within 30 mins, and even though the salon was closed for the day (and the Veterans Day holiday weekend) she said she could meet me there in an hour to take care of me. While a normal lash removal would take 15-20 mins, this took an hour and a half and she had to do 6 applications to remove the surgical glue from the botched job from out of state. I had chemical burns on my eyelids and she soaked them and soothed them to make sure I was comfortable, even calling me the next few days to make sure that I was ok. This kind of service is unprecedented! Most places wouldn't even take the call since they were applied at a different salon.
