We had time to start making arrangements pre-death which was helpful. Everyone we worked with was great. We had visitation followed by the service, then the internment at the cemetery. Everything went smoothly. read more

I cannot recommend Blyth Funeral Home enough. My father wanted a very simple funeral and they respected that. They were incredibly friendly, professional, and on top of everything - nothing felt rushed, or confusing, or like we were being pushed in a direction we didn't want to go. My dad was in the Navy and we chose one of the plots in the Veterans section at Oakbrook Memorial Park, which is also owned by the same family. It is a beautiful location. We worked primarily with Hannah, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful she was. My dad was adamant that this not be a sad, depressing time, and Hannah matched mine and my sisters mood as we laughed and told stories and talked about our father. She took her cue entirely from us. We were amazed at how smooth and easy Blyth made everything and that helped out so much during an otherwise really difficult time. read more

Blyth Funeral Home was officially established in Greenwood by William Van Blyth in 1884, but our heritage dates back nearly a century and a half earlier to 1855. Blyth Funeral Home is the oldest business in Greenwood County still in operation, and it continues to be firmly rooted in the community as an independent, family-owned business. Proud to have the only in-house chapel crematory in Greenwood Blyth Funeral Home exclusively owns Oakbrook Memorial Park where we are honored to serve families with perpetual care, including flat bronze markers, many sections for upright granite and marble along with beautiful chapel mausoleums, all surrounded by a rolling wooded landscape with exceptional views of our 10 acre lake.
