BMO Mortgage HELOC out of Tempe, AZ was awful! They are incompetent, wasted, almost 2 months of my time sending four years of paystub's, I gave them all my income information and then they made a mistake at the end and denied my loan! They could not use my paystubs and w2 s for income verification, and I work for the largest corporation in the USA! Their bank accounts that I open to get this mortgage or even worse. Total marble mouths in foreign countries. Just awful and incompetent. read more

They tried? I guess. Popped in here to open an account and their computers were down. Strike one. The manager was in from another branch and was able to figure out how to get a banker to open up my account on the phone. That's where they really dropped the ball. Opening the account took like a month with a ton of back and forth and reminders from me. It was just an awful process. Now my accounts are open and I tried to fund two of them and they've already closed them for inactivity. Spent a half hour on the phone with the 800 # only to get disconnected. The manager I dealt with was nice but everything else has been a shit show. I wonder if I'll even get the bonus I'm entitled to when all is said and done. read more

I received a promotion offering me $200 for opening a savings account and maintaining a $10K balance for 3 months. After 3 months and not getting the bonus, I was told the banker who opened my account didn't apply the promotion correctly. Over the last couple months I've called BMO dozens of times and spoken to several reps and branch managers. The banker who helped me open my account no longer works there. I've been told MULTIPLE TIMES that the bonus was approved and that the $200 should appear within the next couple of days. Lies! I've maintained the required minimum balance for nearly 6 months and BMO has yet to fulfill the promise. Other reason to avoid BMO - 9 times out of 10 they won't call you back after saying they will. - Their online banking portal is the worst of any bank I've ever used. - There are only a handful of branches in the valley. read more

If I could leave a zero star I would! I got a loan for a trailer that we bought in Arizona ( we're from Ca) this bank has been nothing but a disgrace!!!!! They refuse to give us paperwork that is LEGALLY required for us to register our trailer. When asked what we can do help the situation, they tell us they can't reach that department!!!! You can't teach anyone in a department in your own damn company???? This bank is a disgrace and rude.... Do not do buisness with them read more

Andrew H is exceptional. They were a few times when I needed some additional support with my account and he did not hesitate to go above and beyond. Every time I returned to this branch, he would remember my name and it ask about my day. You do not find customer service like that in 2018. If all BMO Harris Bank employees and policies were as customer centric, I would likely still be a customer. read more

The ATM never works. The teller also told me information that directly contradicts the terms and conditions and what the phone representative told me. Not a good bank at all. read more

This is not the BMO locAtion I want to review, but the one on Greenfield Rd. in Mesa. We know "because of Covid" , but the lady was very Rude to us... and we believe it was because of the color of our skin (Native American) . We were there to cash a check. We were turned away because we did not have a account with this bank. The business that gave us the check said they usually cash the check. The lady in that establishment was very rude!!! I came to this location Monday night to make a deposit, I had about $115 in various bills. When I tried to deposit it the ATM ate $100 of my deposit and then returned the $15, then said that it could not return the rest of my bills, and gave me a receipt which said nothing but the ATM number, the date and time, and a message along the lines of "We are having trouble returning your check. Please contact your financial institution." I immediately called the customer service line, and was told that the ATM would process my deposit overnight and the money would be deposited into my account the following morning. The next morning the money was still not in my account, so I called the bank and was told that I would have to come in and file a claim to get my money back. Unfortunately the customer service wasnt great, the banker I talked to didn't even offer so much as an "I'm sorry about that", and seemed to not care about the situation and also seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. This occured on Monday night (the ATM eating my money) and it is now the following Saturday and I have just seen the money go through and be put into my account. I will still probably be switching banks just because most of my income is cash tips and if I were to be depositing say my car payment and that money were to get eaten and I had to pay my car payment almost a week late because of it (since thats how long it took to get my money back), that's just not something I'm willing to risk. When this occurance happened with the $115, that was my grocery and gas money for the week for me and my son. I provide for my son on my own and this occurance was very inconvenient and upsetting for me. I am happy that I got my money back and didn't have to wait longer for it but overall I just think that this is too big an occurance to ignore. I feel that if their ATM ate that much of my money through no fault of my own that it should have been made right when I went in the next day- whether they were able to process that deposit for me or locate my money and tell me what happened to it, or at the very least credit my account for the money I lost due to their own machinery malfunctioning. That's just my view on it. Regardless though, I feel in this situation the customer service could have made all the difference. If I had called and talked to a banker who was apologetic and reassuring and kind about the situation I would have been a lot less upset but for me to lose $100 and to have the banker basically act like he couldn't have cared less just really really rubbed me the wrong way. So that's what I would like to leave BMO Harris with, if they want to keep customers in the future. Customer service is so important and this is where this bank failed in this situation read more
