I went into Wells Fargo today to open a new checking and savings account and was blown away by their customer service and friendliness. You could tell they were very busy with a three day weekend coming up and it being the first of the month but I was still greeted right away. Claudia was the banker that helped me and she was beyond nice and helpful. I was unsure of what type of accounts I needed and she helped me pick them out and explained why I needed each one. I really liked all of their 4th of July decorations and cookies, and coffee that were out. Everyone that worked there even had on red, white, and blue. read more

I deposited my business check and the operation manager told me 600$ would be available the following Saturday I get my receipt and it says only 275$ will be available she has horrible attitude and tried to give me an intimidating look cause I asked a question and she got upset I said that doesn't answer my question and she got more upset her name is Julia and has horrible customer service If I could give Wells Fargo no stars and recommend to look else where I will. I had a pleasant experience at this branch opening a new checking and savings account with my husband. We made an appointment for 3pm and were met on time by the banker. If I could leave zero stars I would. Waited on the phone for 45 minutes and then was hung up on. When I confronted them about they said they knew I was online but couldn't get to me. Deposited a 10k check snd they said there was a stop payment on it. There was no stop payment, at that point they switched their story and said there was a hold. Money was for my mortgage, now they are going to foreclosure because the idiots at Wells Fargo don't know what they are doing. Don't ever do bussiness here. read more

This Wells Fargo location is a joke. Allegedly, there are only 3 bankers at this location. I was told 2 were with appointments (I walked by that area on my way in... they were NOT with clients; they were talking about what to get for lunch). The only other person that could possibly help me was at lunch... for the next hour "at least". I was initially directed to make an appoint for tomorrow - I live out of town & was told I HAD to close the account at the branch I opened it in if was in state. A simple account closure should not be this complicated, but here we are. There is no respect or regard for your time & they clearly don't need my business anymore, so leaving is my next step. They make even THAT difficult. Find another place to bank... one with actual customer service. UPDATE: the banker that was at lunch did call me... 3+ hours after my visit (I was told he'd be calling upon his return from lunch). Either he didn't bother reaching out after returning for lunch or Wells Fargo gives 3 hour lunches to 'bankers'. Either way, nope. I was able to get my account closed at a different location & will not be looking back. Customers are little more than numbers to Wells Fargo. UPDATE 2: having employees / friends of employees troll honest feedback as a 'compliment' isn't a good look, Wells Fargo. And to Parker S., I am calm... I'm not really one to write a bad review. However, I've never experienced such bad customer service at a bank before. I Had made an appointment to open up a new buisness account. Was not told or aware of certain paperwork we were required to bring. Normally, this would be no problem. However, the banker decided to get personally attacked by this and started yelling at us. I was just in shock. I have no idea where the aggression came from. It kind of reminded me of a child, throwing a temper tantrum. Worst customer service ever. I have been banking with these guys for over 10 years and hold a high balance. They've deposited checks for me the day before they're dated multiple times. Today I came in to do that and they denied me?? Said I had to come back tomorrow. Absolutely ridiculous and a complete waste of time because they've been accepting checks one day before they're dated for many years now. A complete joke. I need to speak to someone about my late husband's account at this bank. I do not have the account number, or an account with WF, so I was unable to make an appt online. I began calling on a Monday, and called each day up until Friday morning in an attempt to make an appt. You cannot get a person on the phone, but you have to go around and around before it tells you no one is available to speak to. I only had that Friday to take care of this, so I went in to the bank, stood in a loooong line, and finally spoke to a teller who advised that all of the bankers are booked, but she can take my number and when (she never once gave me the impression it would not happen) one is available that day-I would get a phone call and at that time, I would have 15 minutes to return to the bank- or I could sit there in the lobby and wait. I decided to run a nearby errand, and kept close by, waiting for the call- WHICH NEVER CAME. Not even a courtesy call advising I would not be seen that day- NOTHING. I had all necessary documents with me, I carried them around all day. All I wanted was some information regarding the account that my attorney asked me to obtain- but now, once I have the chance- I am closing the account. This was unacceptable and unprofessional to say the least. read more

We have to bank with Wells Fargo as that is where our accounts are for work. We get change and make deposits daily. This particular branch is not being ran well on Saturdays. Every Saturday the merchant teller closes down at 1pm which makes it impossible to get change for the weekend using this service. Then the overflow goes into the normal teller line. Today I stood in line for 20 mins waiting to deposit money and get change. As a business person I will no longer be using this branch b/c of the horrible decisions being made by the branch manager. read more

I went in to ask about why I was getting charged $10 a month for my "free everyday checking". When I first signed up I met all the requirements for free checking, today I looked at my account and saw a $10 checking fee. I went in to ask, first of all there was only 2 bankers and a huge line, and no notary or bankers to assist anyone in changing accounts around. When I asked why I was charged he said he didn't know (you work at the branch and you really have no idea why I'm getting charged?). I then said I'd just like to close out my account if I can't get a answer. He said he couldn't do that either. These people are all clowns that have no idea what's going on read more

This has to be by far the worst wells fargo location I have ever been to. Every single time i come here there is a line all the way to the door. They also are only staffed with only two people that are able to help everyone. One guy is holding up the entire line with whatever he gad to do (not his fault) but there is other staff just standing around not doing anything and while all that is going on the other staff working the other window takes forever to help one person. Then proceeds to start counting stacks of money instead of helping customers with a line thats all the way out the door by this point. Probably stood there for 25 minutes waiting to be helped. In short worst wells fargo i have ever been to. So slow and the line is always so ridiculous probably because of how terrible the staff is here. read more

A really great, large, branch. A half dozen inside tellers, four outside drive-up tellers, a couple ATM's, one drive up, one walk-up, etc. They are unfailingly friendly and polite, always seem eager to help during each of my dozens of visits there. The ONLY reason they don't get that fifth star is because they wouldn't help me retrieve my ATM from the outside ATM. They could have asked the Brinks folks to bring it in next time they emptied the machine, but just resisted and resisted. Caused me a huge financial hassle because I had a Wachovia account that hadn't been converted and it took me two weeks to get a new card, and I had to change lots of auto-payments. read more

Super clean and warm inside, staff that jump out of their skin to help you, a local business center, notary... everything you need in one location. Wells Fargo, Tempe, has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called a week ago to order foreign currency. After not receiving notification, I called and spoke with 'Alex' who said it was in and led me to believe I had until 6:00pm to pick up the funds. After waiting in line, the woman at the counter was very condescending, acting as if it were somehow my fault for not knowing the person handling foreign exchange left at 5:00 and would not return until Tuesday. I leave for my trip next week, but will not go back. They have wasted enough of my time. BTW, if they mention a home equity line of credit, be aware, with the new tax law, the interest you pay is no longer tax deductible. read more

I do a lot of banking here and I even had to make a stop at the branch on my wedding day in my gown! Long story. But most of them have not forgotten me since. When they took over Wachovia, I was quite unhappy because I had switched from "Broke of America" in order to do business with a smaller bank. Tried out Wells Fargo for our business banking and it was a HORRIBLE experience. IF you do any business banking this place will nickle-&-dime you to death. Monthly fees, credit card fees, even to deposit cash they charge you a premium. You get charged for all these little fees that are not initially disclosed to you. We worked with the VP Dan Rodriquez at this particular location and it was just a bad overall experience. We moved our banking back to Bank of America. read more
