I took Beauty, my Mini Cooper S to BMW Mobile Alabama for her annual service, and honestly, it couldn't have gone smoother. I called on a Friday evening just before they closed, as soon as my service light popped on, and Heather in their call centre squeezed me in for the next day a Saturday afternoon --no messing about. I live across the bay, so I waited there and they didn't mind a bit. Reed, my service advisor, walked me through every step offering but not pushing extras. Got an oil change, wash, vacuum, full safety sweep--all for under one fifty so I feel thrifty! Communication spot-on, my car's running like a dream. Oh, and they even helped me pair Waze to Bluetooth when I couldn't figure it out. Comfortable waiting room too--free water, coffee, snacks, Reed lent me a phone charger which was handy because I forgot mine... and there's this adorable orange cat called Beamer who just melts your heart. They are dog friendly and my lovely whippet Twinkie got many compliments and lots of love even from Beamer, which puzzled her but made her roll her eyes. Ten out of ten, will absolutely go back. Highly recommend BMW of Mobile. BMW of Mobile also sell New and Used BMW's and MINI's as well as trade-ins. The employees seem friendly and helpful. The facility is modern and clean. It was nicely decorated for the holidays. My car was serviced for the estimated price and within the promised time period. Very disappointed with my experience at BMW of Mobile. We brought our 2011 BMW 328i in for repairs and paid nearly $5,000 for work that included maintenance and repairs. Before service, the car was running. After picking it up, the engine immediately started shaking and idling rough -- issues that were NOT present before. We returned the vehicle for further inspection, and after additional service and an oil change, the car developed a new noise and completely locked up within about 20 miles. We were later told oil or debris may have entered the VANOS system, potentially causing engine failure. Now, after already paying thousands of dollars, we are being asked to pay an additional $6,000 toward an engine replacement that allegedly became necessary after the vehicle was serviced by their dealership. What is most frustrating is that none of the original repair estimates documented a failing engine or recommended engine replacement before the work was performed. We attempted to resolve this matter professionally with management, but no fair resolution has been offered. We are now pursuing complaints through the BBB, Alabama Consumer Protection Division, and legal counsel. Customers deserve accountability, transparency, and responsibility when damage occurs while a vehicle is under dealership care. read more

While passing through Mobile, I caught a nail in a tire and contacted BMW of Mobile. Upon my arrival at BMW of Mobile for service, the Service Advisor (Tyler Ford) asked me if I had any additional concerns (as I was traveling). I relayed that I recently saw white smoke coming from the exhaust and heard a squealing nose coming from the engine compartment. Tyler preliminarily indicated it may be the PCV, which is/was under warranty. Ultimately, the mechanic checked and confirmed that it was (in fact) the PCV. And, so I purchased two (2) tires and had PCV replaced (covered under the warranty). i took my car to a reputable German auto repair shop in August 2025 because I had a check engine indicator. I was told that the repair would cost $860. I checked the internet and found there was a limited warranty extension that would cover the costs of the repair. Because it was a limited warranty extension repair only an authorized BMW would be paid to make the repair so I took my car to the only authorized BMW dealer in Mobile which is BMW of Mobile. When making my appointment I was told by Service Advisor about my problem and was told since this repair was covered by a limited extended factory warranty that there would be no charge. However after their diagnosis I was told I had to pay a $200 software update before the repair could be made. But when I picked up my car I was told the problem did not exist. Noteworthy that I was not offered a loaner car and the total service experience was horrible. Immediately after leaving the dealership, I called the service manager and had to leave a voicemail. When service manager did not return my call I emailed the general manager but he did not return my call or email. On October 31, 2025, my check engine light came on again so I again took my car in to a reputable German auto repair and the diagnosis was the same issue that had been diagnosed in August and that was covered by the BMW limited factory warranty. At this juncture, on October 31, 2025 I emailed both the service manger and the general manager of BMW Mobile and asked that they reassess my check engine light and the diagnosis that I received on October 31, 2025 by a reputable German repair shop. Today is November 5, 2025 ans I have received no reply from BMW of Mobile. My hands are tied because BMW of Mobile is the only authorized BMW dealer in Mobile and they have refused to communicate with me so if I am to get rid of my check engine light I must pay $860 for a repair that should be free and is covered under the limited factory warranty. read more

Terrible experience, my car has been there a week n a half for a fuel pump. Communication has been subpar and am wondering about the competence and ability of its staff and how it operates. Lots of excuses for their own product! I pray I never have to come back to them for service. It's worse than Toyota on the other side of government, because one person is not at work is not a reason for progress on a customer's car should stop. I bought my BMW from a horrible dealership in Baton Rouge and promised after I got my tags that I would never give them another dime. Thankfully my first oil change was 300 miles within my trip to Orange Beach. I scheduled an appointment on BMW of Mobile's website and stopped on my way from BR to the beach. The only con was that I had requested a loaner so I could drop my car off and keep going, but there wasn't one available. However, they promised to take my vehicle in right away to get me back on the road ASAP. The shuttle dropped off at McAlisters for lunch. A soup, salad, walk around an i8, People's Court, and Family Feud game show later we were back on the road. They offered us ice cream and water. Everyone was friendly even the salesmen and mechanics. I got an oil change for under $75, a new run flat with a 1 year warranty due to having a screw in the old one, and a new fuse installed under warranty because something shorted my USB ports...ooh and a 5 star wash and detail in 3 hours flat. Left my car for service on a Sunday night parked outside the building. Monday morning at 8:08am i had an email from Mr Reed with the check-in slip listing the issues that needed to be addressed. All parts needed were ordered early that day. Was impressed how quick they were to attend to my car. After parts arrived the car was done in a respectable timeframe. I understand my car is not the only car being fixed. :) Mr Reed exceeded my expectations as i found out he went the extra mile to reach out to Carmax and have them deliver a fender liner that carmax was suppose to install afterwards and then had BMW technicians install it. This got my BMW M4 back to me even quicker. Due to working long hours i requested to m"Mr Reed if it be okay if he parked the car outside with the keys inside and locked and he said "ofcourse no problem". 2 hrs later in the evening i showed up to pick up my car with my extra set of keys and was again very impressed to see my black M4 shine so much like it never had before in the 5 weeks of ownership, not to mention it was night time by then. I contacted Jeff at/around 1500 on a Saturday and drove 2.5 hrs to finalize paperwork/pick-up my vehicle on Monday! Jeff was prompt and precise! Patrick was very knowledgeable and patient...he diligently walked me through the various features/settings ensuring I got the best out of my vehicle! I am VERY pleased! If we could give zero stars we would. Our 19 year old took her 2017 X3 in for an oil change and tire balancing. Service guy (Bradley McPhers) told her there was a recall so she called and ask us about performing that service. We told her yes because recalls are a no charge. They also discussed a head light problem and she declined that service. They mention that her key battery was low so she ask for the battery to be changed. Once she arrived to pick up the car they presented her with a $836.10 Invoice. She paid them then brought the invoice out to me. The service should have been $218.95. Once I went in and spoke to them about it they proceeded to tell me that my daughter agreed to those charges even with her telling him she did not. They have taken advantage of a 19 year old girl. This is a warning to all of you that drop off your cars to the service department. Make sure you look over your bill and know what you are being charged for because apparently they can perform and charge for things you did not request. I thought more of this company than that. My wife just purchased a $98k X5 and we plan to change our service to another dealer. It is sad that people take advantage of people. read more

The worst BMW dealership on the planet. I only needed to order a key for my wheel locks and I have the old one with the number on it. I couldn't even get the lady in parts to look it up and see if they had one in stock before I took the hour drive. She kept telling me how there were many different keys, and how she haven't seen one of those locks in years. Instead they keep trying to get you inside the building to look at cars online. The sales guy must have asked us four times within fifteen minutes of being there. Live up to your reputation or make the customer experience better!! "0" Stars!!!!! The WORST experience I have ever had was at BMW of Mobile. First off, I live in Biloxi where we do not have a BMW dealer. I have a 97 BMW Z3, which had a single lightbulb out behind the A/C control console. I called and explained the problem to the parts dept. They argued that I had only one lightbulb in that cluster (per their diagram) yet I could clearly see there was more than one because the other half of the same console was illuminated. They refused give me or anyone a part numbers so I could verify that is what I needed (yep stupid policy). This should have been my first indication not to take the car there!! I had to call Peake BMW in Kenner LA, who readily gave it to me. Thank you Peake!!! After a little research I reluctantly ordered the part from BMW of Mobile as they were about the same price as on eBay. They also wanted to charge me $10.00 shipping through UPS for two lightbulbs that weighed less than an ounce combined if it came to my house. My research (through YOUTUBE) showed a guy pulling out the radio to get access to where I needed to be to change the bulbs. I decided to have the dealer change the bulb after the parts dept put fear in me about how much it took to change the bulbs getting into the console, delicate a/c cables, blah blah blah. I then called BMW of Mobile back to schedule service for Saturday because I work M-F 8-4:30 and they were closer than Peake. Service wanted to charge $500.00 if their non experienced tech worked on it or if the guy that knew about the car worked on it, it would be $250.00. They also stated it would take two hours to do the job. Saturday I arrived, service never gave me an exact quote and their tech spent 2 hours before he figured out he was too scared to get into the car stating that old parts break, "I" not him, would be responsible if HE tore up anything, and he was not comfortable working on an 'old" car. I then spoke with the dealership manager who was very rude, unprofessional, and could not explain several questions... (1) Why can't the DEALER work on the same brand car that they sell and if the tech works on BMW cars, why shouldn't he know how to access the area to work on? (2) Why was I not given an exact price for the job? (3) Since YOUR service scheduled me for a job, why was the right technician there and who is going to pay for my fuel for a wasted trip? (4) Service said a loaner car would be available, where was it? (5) Why can the DEALER not change a simple lightbulb? (6) why are your parts diagram not up to date and correct? I ended up leaving, took my car to Empress Stereo in Gulfport MS, where in 20 minutes the lightbulb was changed and they only charged me $34 labor!!! The BEST customer experience! I was looking for a compact SUV. Jeff Gogal, Sales Manager and Travis Pettway, Client Advisor assisted me. They listened to me then got me into my 2018 X1. Love this car. If you are looking for a compact SUV with a fun, sporty driving experience, the 2018 X1 is perfect. I am small so I love the support of the sports seats. The front wheel drive provides extra control in rain and it can turn on a dime. The back seat has substantially more leg and head room (verified by my 15 yr old son) than the Jaguar E Pace or Land Rover Discovery Sport, has a fully operable full sun roof and I am getting better gas mileage than my 2012 VW Jetta. BMW of Mobile made the buying experience pleasurable, but really fell off when it came to the service department. If you need anything done you should plan on being there all day. They are also very quick to place the customer at fault. When you leave they will start talking poorly about you, and I have witnessed them do it to other customers. You are better off not buying a "Certified Pre-Owned" BMW from here because they are no better here than a "regular" used BMW with an aftermarket warranty from anywhere else. Glenda was both, professional and knowledgeable about the 6 series Gran Coupe. There were a couple of items that needed to be repaired, but the service department stepped in and took care of them within a timely manner with no questions asked. This was the best car buying experience out of the four that I have purchased. I continue to trust this dealership and it is because of little stories like this one. The front of my 300 series is low to the ground and I keep forgetting to avoid those concrete blocks that limit parking spaces. The combination of my inattention, the blocks and the low front ends up with me tearing up the plastic lower edge of the bumper. This last episode tore the screws out of the supporting under cover to the front end engine compartment (I do not know the technical terms...but it resulting in some shuddering at high speeds as air got in under the undercover). So I called Becky again, and she said bring it in for me to look at it. She advised me to drive around to see Danny in the body shop who she called on my behalf. This guy (I think he is a manager or should be)...... looks at it...puts it on a lift and proceeds to fix it with these little clips etc. I ask about changing the whole front end bumper and he says.....if it becomes a problem sure...but for now since this is an old BMW not really worth the money. I have trained surgeons for my whole career. This guys hands are surgeons hands...definitive movements, knowledge and confidence inspiring. I was singularly impressed. I was also impressed that when I asked for the charge he said there was none. Wow....as I have said before these guys are truly the real thing and they are expensive. I guess quality costs. But, when they can save you some money, they clearly try to do the right thing. I have purchased 3 cars from them and only service my baby (my old 300 series "toy") at this dealership and would highly recommend them. read more

Being a woman and walking into this department the guys look down upon you for mentioning if you think there's a slight chance the rotors are needing to be changed like I don't know my own vehicle. Carrie keeps me updated the entire day about what all is going on and needs to be done. As for sales Jaron Ledbetter had gone above and beyond last year as I ended up buying two vehicles from him. The manager at the time Drew made sure to keep an eye out for what I wanted and kept me in the loop always. Matt on the other hand is the complete opposite. He's a tire kicker. Why would you want a male salesperson to come to you and say why would you want to buy a vehicle where you have to change the tires every 25k miles? Some people don't mind because you get what you pay for sir. Just because you got a 13k piece of junk from Ford not even supporting your product speaks immensely for you. I wanted to trade my vehicle in after it was finished being serviced but wasn't offered what it is worth on NADA or Black Book. The new manager wants to scam you as well. Ended up keeping with I had with them and buying a work vehicle for my long commutes at a much more finer establishment with someone who was willing to work with me. read more

My boss locked his keys in his rental car while on a business trip. Long story short National roadside assistance sent two locksmiths and a tow truck all failed attempts to unlock the rental car. I called BMW of Mobile and spoke to Randy the service manager who was kind enough to personally drive to the hotel where my boss was staying and get the car unlocked. Totally saving the day. I would NEVER buy any vehicle from this dealership, and here's why: Yesterday (08/22/2018), I went in to look at a particular car I'd seen on line at BMW of Mobile's web site. The initial salesman with whom I dealt (Tom) was very pleasant & laid back, but was new, and had (at least seemingly) to frequently check with someone else to get the answers to my questions. Then the salesmen started "tag teaming" me. I was AGGRESSIVELY pressured by Jeff to buy this particular vehicle, which I wasn't sure I wanted. They had the keys to MY car, and I was there for FIVE HOURS! When I asked about a similar vehicle I'd seen on line at another nearby dealership, they said they wouldn't bring the car to Mobile at all. Period. The closest one they said they could find was in Austin, TX, but they wouldn't back off the MSRP on that one even if they transported it here (for $1,000). When I went on line to check the price after I got home, I saw the dealer in Austin had it listed for significantly LESS than the MSRP. I know it was the same car, because the VIN was the same. Their sales tactics are DEPLORABLE and unethical. It's dealerships like this that give car salesmen a bad name. read more

I purchased a 2016 340i from Brent Waldron. The car had to be dealer located, but he did everything in his power to get me exactly what I wanted. Savannah Sparks, my service adviser, introduced me to Brent when I had my old vehicle in for repair. Locating the exact car you want isn't always easy, but I always felt I had this team's undivided attention. By the time the car arrived the people involved in helping me felt more like friends than salesman and managers. I was so satisfied with everything they had done for me, I returned with my mother and bought a 435i from Brent 2 weeks later. Customer service is hard to find these days, and car buying can be an unpleasant experience with the wrong salesman or the wrong dealership. I can honestly tell you that these people are beyond great. My service adviser Savannah took the time to get to know me and went out of her way to be kind and helpful. Brent is unbelievable. The time and effort he spent on me and always staying positive. Best salesman I have ever had.
