here is my story...i had my t100 at another shop for 5 months and he couldn't find out what was wrong with it...it would start and die...he tried different things on it and would take the parts off when it didnt work...i talked to this individual about having new eyes look at it...and he agreed...he didnot charge me...so i researched and found rester's...they had mostly positive fb...so i called them...the first time i called i talked to a mechanic i believe...he told me they were busy and that the following week would be ok to bring it in...i told him what i knew about the truck and what the previous mechanic had done...so the following week i called to make sure i could bring it in...resters son told me that they were still busy but to bring it in...i told him i had waited 5 months a couple of more days would not make a difference...so i called triple aaa and they told me what time they would pick it up and deliver it...i called my first mechanic to let him know...i then called resters and talked to mr resters who owns the shop this time...he didnt know what was going on...and why didnt the first mechanic fix it...etc...etc...finally he agreed to take it...so there is obvious miscommunication on their part...as i was very upfront and direct with all of them....the truck got delivered...so in the almost 3 months i had it there...there would be excuses on why it wasnt being worked on...one was said by ronnie jr..."we have to get the cars out that are not difficult to work on"...it was at least calling them a couple of times a week or less to see what was going on...mr rester finally found what he thought was wrong...it was the engine module computer...he had seen it once before...he told me what it was going for around town...new...but if they couldnt find a used part they would send it to florida to be rebuilt...so in the next three weeks i thought he was doing that...well it didnt happen that way...i called him week before last and he hadnt done anything further...so i asked him what it was called...i looked it up and found a rebuilt one in ny...i called him last week and he told me he would pull the part and get the part number off of it...that was wed or thurs...i called him again today...to see if he was able to get the number off of it...he hadnt done anything...i told him he had it for three months...and just found out 3 weeks ago what was going on...i asked him when would he get the number off...he then told me...do you want your truck back...you dont owe me any money...i said yes...i will get triple aaa to bring it back to the house...he said fine...i called aaa and they were going to tow it back today...and i called mr rester to tell him...he said ok...my truck is back it was a mess inside it...the glove compartment was open and pulled out...i was able to flip it back in...there was junk all over the front seats...they had left a greasy big screw driver in the front too...i cannot in conscience leave him positive feedback...he never called me to tell me what was going on with my truck...i always had to call...i always got some type of excuse...or delay...they promote themselves as good christians...what does that mean...when you are in the world alone...my husband had passed away in july 2018...so i had no support...i trusted them to work on my truck in a timely manner..but because the truck was a 1997 toyota truck t100...i guess they thought it was too far gone...one of themtold me when they got the truck that they didnt know it was that old...that is not true...i was upfront and direct with them...in fact how i operate with all of the people i deal with...i kept telling them i have the money to fix it...i won't be coming back...never...the pictures that they post online look good but in person...it looks dumpy... read more
