She got her car looked at there and they said it needed a new catalytic converter which would cost about $730. She ended up going to another mechanic to get a second opinion and it turns out all she needed was a little bit of welding done and it would only cost her $150. She doesn't have a lot of money and me and my brothers all have to live far away for work so we can't be there to look out for dirtbags like thHoldaway Automotive should be ashamed of themselves for trying to take advantage of a poor widow. Companies like Holdaway Automotive are why the general public has a bad impression of mechanics as being sleezy. Edit: as a welder, myself, I find it very hard to believe that an auto shop wouldn't have a cheap little welding machine that anyone could get from Canadian tire.

Friendly and fast but took a car there to be certified and they claimed that it needed new brake…read morepads on the rear. On the phone they claimed rotors too but when I went to pick it up they only claimed pads. I knew that the brakes were still good but took it home and changed the pads anyway. I took the old pads to a few other mechanics and all agreed nothing at all wrong with them. Took them back to the Garage and showed the other mechanic and he also agreed nothing wrong with them and they should have passed. They did find other things that were legitimate but definitely tried to soak me on brakes that were not needed. This was my second visit there and the first I had no issues - fast and friendly both times. Be careful that you don't end up paying for unnecessary repairs.

Monday I talked to mechanic and it was arranged to replace to two front tires. When I returned a week later March 13 2026 to pick up my vehicle the shop denied any wrong doing; But March 21st, i was told by a Neighbor that my vehicle was placed on top of the 10 foot snow back in front of the store for maybe total of 2 days of March 9th 2026. I paid for the two new front tires and left to go shopping and then; I looked under the vehicle and the sway bar on the driver's rear side was broken off. I went back to Stop & Steer mechanic shop. The shop denied anything happened. They take joyrides in your vehicle if left there and or some mechanic employed with this shop is taking advantage of customers. Beware! One of their mechanics or all are playing games with a customer who entrusts them with your own vehicle. Lack of experts here! Sad taken advantage of since I am a senior and a woman!

I gave Dalt's Honda Service a…read morecall to ask what they'd recommend, and they told me to bring the vehicle in for a free check-up of the situation. They let the engine warm up, and topped up the coolant, all at no charge. They also told me that it's normal because of what the components that the coolant goes through are made of, that it (for the lack of a better word) "absorbs" the coolant over time. There were a few minor mistakes on the invoice, but the fact that they did both the check and top-up for free really impressed me. They also still seem to have the best priced oil change anywhere I've checked, and last time they changed the oil in my vehicle in record time (something like 15 minutes). I'm definitely returning to Dalt's Honda for my Honda's servicing needs.
