Unprofessional Cancellation, Undercooked Food, Pathetic Contract Excuse, and Zero Accountability -…read moreNot a Luxury Chef Service I hired this company expecting a luxury in-home meal prep service. During the initial consultation, I was 100% upfront and told them I have young kids and pets. They sent me a Pinterest board to select my meals from. That's not what I consider a luxury in-home chef experience! Week 1: The oatmeal was completely inedible and the dressing ratio was way off. I gave them honest feedback when they asked for it. Week 2: Pink, undercooked chicken -- a serious food safety risk that could have made my family sick. Attached picture Instead of taking any accountability for their repeated mistakes, they tried to blame me. Their only way of handling poor food quality seems to be shifting the blame onto the client -- even though they are the professionals working in my home. Then they used a ridiculous excuse to cancel future service, which honestly I'm happy about, becasure the food isn't good! . Here is the exact wording from the contract they attached: "we reserve the right to cancel your in-home meal prep service at any time, if a chef arrives and finds that the information provided during the client consultation phone call was inaccurate they can refuse to perform service. This included, but is not limited to, an unusable kitchen, unsafe working conditions, or pets that are not contained outside of the kitchen. We also reserve the right to discontinue a service before completion if a pets are not contained and children are not supervised as this can create an unsafe environment for both the chef and the client" My son politely asked the chef if she likes Play-Doh and my dog accidentally walking into the house for a moment created an "unsafe work environment." That is laughable and immature. If those reasons are why you can't properly cook chicken, there is a bigger problem! Nothing was different from Week 1 to Week 2. It was the same chef. She had already worked in my home the previous week and knew exactly what the environment was like. She stayed and completed the entire service without any complaint. If it was truly unsafe, why didn't she refuse to continue "at any time" like the contract says she could? Because it wasn't unsafe. It was just a cheap excuse to avoid responsibility for their own screw-ups. Also, why come back week 2? Audrey may be a decent chef herself, but she clearly cannot run a professional company. I seriously question whether the chefs she sends into people's homes are even properly trained, licensed, or insured to be there. I've had a real private chef in Los Angeles for over 10 years. This Pinterest-level meal options - and of constant excuses and zero professionalism does not meet any reasonable standards for a luxury in-home chef service. They offered meals prepared in their kitchen and delivered as an alternative, but after this experience , I told them to never contact me again! Do NOT waste your money with this company. Inconsistent and sometimes unsafe food quality, unprofessional communication, and they'll cancel on you over normal family life the moment something goes wrong on their end. Stay far away.

She aspires to one day be a chef and Brigitte has been the perfect teacher/mentor/friend for my 11 year old. She is so patient, warm and above all, talented. Her approach to food is amazing, elegant and flavorful without being stuffy. She's capable of cooking a wide range of ethnic meals and has a tremendous understanding of flavor. Her approach to food is simple and uncluttered, but the finished product is always fantastic. I firmly believe that a good part of cooking successfully is instinct and Brigitte's got it. Couple her instinct and technique, and you've got a winning combination. Even better that she's personable, kindhearted and a joy to be around. Whether she's cooking for one, a family, a dinner party or an event, her talent shines.
