Parking was $20 per day when we purchased all four days at once. Otherwise, it would have been $26 per day. Every time you enter or exit the parking lot, you'll need to show your parking pass so it can be scanned. The convention center itself is enormous but very clean. Both the North and South sides had food and beverage vendors, although I thought the South Concourse had the better selection this year, including Starbucks, Cuban coffee, and even a vendor handing out free protein bars. The restrooms were consistently clean, which is always appreciated during a long tournament. One thing that really stood out was the excellent lost and found system. I accidentally left my Nordstrom credit card in a restroom. When I went to Lost & Found, a sign directed anyone looking for a wallet or credit card to the Championship Desk. Sure enough, they had my card. I had already canceled it, but it was reassuring to know that someone had turned it in. It's nice to see honesty still exists. A few tips for first-time visitors: The playing areas can get incredibly loud, so bring headphones or ear protection if you're sensitive to noise. Keep your head up! Volleyballs can come flying off the courts. I actually got hit once--not too hard, thankfully--but it definitely happens. There are floor maps available, which are helpful, but it's best to know your court assignment before arriving. Security is efficient. You'll pass through an electronic scanner, and security may ask to look inside your bag (even my clear bag was briefly checked). One of my favorite improvements from previous years is that you can upload a selfie to your entrance pass ahead of time. That way, you don't have to show your driver's license every time you enter. Despite the size of the venue, it was clean, organized, and well-equipped to host a tournament of this scale. I know this is a very difficult feat to handle so kudos to them! I didn't like how dark the areas were on the playing floor if you decided to get coffee or food there - way too dark or depressing! Add nice light there like you do on the floor where all of the vendor carts are!

The fireworks were amazing! The view from the ship was just perfect. We have viewed the fireworks from the castle as well as from resorts, but this by far was the best vantage point. You had the music right there and the fireworks were right in front of us. Ah-mazing! There is a special surprise at the end when you return to the dock. Lots of photo opportunities from start to finish. Who can resist all you can eat dessert, fruits, and cotton candy? Don't forget to grab some chocolate coins as well.

For his birthday before we came all he wanted was a Captain Hook costume and some Captain Hook action figures. I didn't bring down his whole costume because of packing space but I did bring down his jacket and shirt, an easy to bring pirate hat and we got a hook at the store at the Contemporary. When he saw Captain Hook at this, he actually cried tears of joy. He's met a lot of characters at Disney and Hook is the only one who has had that response. The Captain could not have been kinder to my son, he paraded the little Captain Hook around the room and showed him how to shake hooks. My son actually has high functioning autism and Captain Hook was just so gentle and sweet to him, you would never know he's a villain in the movie. Of all the characters we have met at Disney our interaction with Hook has been our favorite, he went above and beyond for our son. Hook could not have know it was our son's birthday eve and how special the night really was to him. The dude who plays Hook... he really plays Hook with the body movements. The swagger, the posture, the hand movements. This guy IS Hook. Smee was there too, also a very nice and kind fellow who spends lots of time with the kids and gives great interaction with everyone. This is worth every penny. It's not something where the characters just show up for pictures and then disappear. The boat captains, patch and patch, are both hilarious and keep the party going. They do trivia and sing songs, really absolutely no complaints with any of the entertainment at this! And the view of the fireworks! Spectacular! The food is not great but I didn't care. It's desserts. The ice cream bars were sorta melted then refrozen. Not much else, some mini cupcakes, fruit. Bags of popcorn and chocolate coins. And non alcoholic drinks. If you are coming to this for food and not entertainment you may be disappointed. All in all, we came for the entertainment and fireworks and we got what we came for and then some. There is a surprise guest at the end, ours was Pan. So as great as Hook was with our son Pan was kinda a D. Just short, rushed. Maybe I just expected more because Hook and Smee were so cool. Or maybe it's harder to be Pan because you don't get to wear a mask, I don't know, I've never been a Disney character. Also surprising: no shuttle service, which would have made a huge difference given the size of this place. Inside, the volleyball tournament itself was easy to navigate, which was a plus. Courts were laid out well and signage inside the event area was decent. Food, however, was a letdown. Yes, there's a wide variety -- Chinese, deli, tacos, poke bowls, salads, hot dogs, etc. -- but the prices are outrageous, and you don't really have alternatives once you're inside. It feels like you're stuck paying whatever they decide to charge. One more tip: bring a sweatshirt. The temperature inside is wildly inconsistent -- one minute you're hot, the next you're freezing. Overall, the Orlando Convention Center is massive and functional, but better communication about concourses, parking options, and transportation would go a long way. Come prepared, plan ahead, and brace your wallet for food prices. You won't be so happy that I know. I wish you were allowed to bring your own snacks in because this would make life a lot easier!

What an amazing venue!…read more Went here to celebrate my cousins wedding on 11/7 & while I was originally confused as to who has their wedding as early as he did, it all made sense when we arrived. The way the sunrise shines on lake Bryan is breathtaking. The dewy palm trees, friendly staff, gorgeous decor, the sand and beach seats while we waiting to be seated in the ceremony area- everything was chefs kiss! My daughter even said "mommy when you get married it's gotta be here" lol I was thankful to see the ceremony area has a soft turf so that heels going into the sand weren't an issue at all. The only thing I'd say negative is that thankfully we were the first wedding guests and could sit in the beach chairs in the sand facing the lake while we waiting for the Turf area to open - the guests that arrived after us had nowhere to sit & wait. Overall, amazing ceremony (as expected) this location was the cherry on top., Parking: was a bit tight. We ubered from our resort which was about 15 min away (with traffic). I'd suggest ubering or carpooling if utilizing this wedding/event space!
