We originally went to look at a female cat and when we weren't sure about how compatible we were the girl helping us recommended a cat that we weren't even considering. The girl truly knew these cats and cared for them. We adopted our cat for free because he was a senior. We have had no health issues. I also believe if you are adopting you should be prepared for better or worse meaning medical issues might arise. The people working at this shelter are doing their absolute best. Volunteering has also been a great experience. I do the shelter buddy program so I can have a flexible schedule. I enjoy giving back, and have only ever received support from the staff when I am volunteering.

Because of my telework schedule, I've been home when she comes to get my girl for her walk. My pup starts looking at the door and whining about 30 minutes before her arrival and goes crazy when she sees her buddy. I am so grateful I have someone trustworthy and fur baby approved for my girl. Amy is amazing! I adopted a 18 lb rescue Terrier Mix and was not prepared for keeping her home during the work days for two weeks while her vaccines kicked in. Amy jumped in to help. She is flexible to assist with last minute schedule changes. Being military, I appreciated Amy's military family background because she understands my unique challenges and also can get on base with no problem. She even brought a harness when my little escape artist needed it. I trust her completely and am bummed she won't be going with us when we move in January. My puppy loves her, too, and can't wait for Miss Amy to visit!

They had a fight in the morning and a second one in the evening. The dogs were left unattended, together during day play. The "handlers" apparently blew the airhorns to get the other dog to stop attacking my dog, that didn't work so then ran to get Adam. What if he wasn't there? My dog would probably not be here today. My dog and the other dog were put back together later the same day, which does not make any sense to anyone with a functioning brain. I didn't know the extent of my dogs injuries due to the attack. Adam tried to negotiate with me to pay the vet bill from his vet even before me being able to see my dog. MY DOG GOT ATTACKED DUE TO YOUR NEGLIGENCE. He offered to give me a free week if I paid $500-600 for the vet bill. Just goes to show you how absolutely money hungry he is and what he's willing to put at risk ( YOUR DOG). I took my dog to our regular vet that Thursday and he had to have 2 drains surgically put into his leg to let it drain and keep swelling down. Not once did Adam apologize for what happened. Not once did he express any compassion or sympathy. That's when I realized it's all just money for him. You and your dog are just another dollar sign to him. This is just a warning for those of you thinking of coming here. He hires people off the street who have 0 dog training or experience with handling dogs to work for him. He is an extremely rough handler, i've watched him myself. The things that are done to your dog when no one is watching makes my blood boil. Please think twice about what may happen to your pup while in their care. My dog paid the price, don't let yours also. We've had a long 3 years of recovery for my dog to be able to trust other people and dogs again. He will never be the dog that he was before because of Adam and Obedient Paws. We are extremely disappointed with our experience at this dog daycare. Our dog is high-energy,…read morefriendly, and loves everyone and everything--he wouldn't harm a fly. We enrolled him here specifically so he could stay socialized while my husband and I serve on active duty military, and we placed a great deal of trust in this facility to keep him safe. Unfortunately, our dog has now sustained two separate injuries while in their care. We understand and accepted the liability waiver; however, signing a waiver does not excuse a lack of supervision or preventative care. This most recent injury was the final straw, as there appeared to be little to no effort to prevent it from happening. What was most concerning was being told that the other dog involved only received a "warning" and was not removed, meaning it is still allowed to interact with and potentially injure other dogs. That is an unacceptable risk for any responsible daycare. To make matters worse, when concerns were raised, the receptionist responded by saying her dogs go there and nothing happens to them, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. When we requested to speak with a manager, we were told it would take 1-2 days, offering no immediate accountability or reassurance. We wanted this daycare to be a long-term solution for socialization and enrichment, but after being let down twice, we can no longer trust this facility with our dog's safety. We hope management takes a serious look at their supervision practices, incident response, and customer communication before another dog is hurt.

Ten years later, we had a lab (who we trained to become therapy dog with the skills we learned thru the years from CTU) and mix breed dog who had lived with us since they were puppies, but we were worried about how they would do with a new baby as I was pregnant. We took some refresher obedience classes to remind two and four legged beings of what "good house manners" are, and I took their new baby class. I'm thrilled to say that our dogs and our babies are the best of friends. We boarded our dogs there, when Four Paws Inn still had overnight boarding. Most recently, we completed puppy kindergarten and basic/ beginner training with our newest puppy. Lisa Marie and Caitlin are both amazing trainers, of both dogs and their humans. They are skilled at seeing each dog's strengths and challenges, all in the context of small group training classes. They provide coaching to owners on strategies to prevent issues, as well as showing you corrections to make when a problem arises. Their training classes are held indoors, and there is plenty of parking. Both basic and puppy kindergarten include in-person training and weekly zoom meetings to discuss questions and problems. Their training classes are helpful for both new and experienced dog owners. We are looking forward to continuing the next level of training very soon!

My first dog was a rescue and went through training with Lisa Marie, who did an excellent job. He ended up attending daycare almost every weekday of his life until he passed in 2022 at the age of 18. To this day I attribute his long life to the love (and the activity) that he was given by the staff at Four Paws on a daily basis. Since his passing I got a new puppy that has been attending daycare every weekday as well. She can't wait to go every day, and rushes to the front door when we arrive in the morning. You know that you are at a great place for your dog when the staff is as excited to see the dog as much as your dog is excited to see them. The prices at Four Paws are very reasonable, especially compared to other options nearby. I have temporarily tried other facilities (mostly due to the pandemic), but none stand up to the level of Four Paws. I've recommended them to other dog owners I know and they are now regular daycare attendees as well. If you bring your dogs to Four Paws both you and your dogs will not be disappointed!
