We stayed at the Port of Sanford Marina for a few days; and, took advantage of the local deli, the local bar; and, the pool. We kayaked from our houseboat to the bar one night; and, we stopped in the marina market one morning. We understand that Boat Tree is the new owner, re-energizing the place; and, providing more services, including free wi-fi on our boat! Access is easy off of I-4 via SR 46; and, parking is plentiful. The facilities are clean and up-to-date; and, maintenance staff are working 7 days a week. We enjoyed our mini-vacation very much; and, I hope to return with my wife for a romantic weekend aboard another houseboat! read more

We have friends who keep their boat docked at this marina and we went out with them yesterday. I like that they have a deli, bar, and pool. There's also gas for boats there (that you pay for of course), and their skip rental also includes access to very clean showers/restrooms. We did not rent a boat so I cannot speak yet to the level of service they provide for that. There seemed to be plenty of parking which is good. The only thing I personally did not like was the walkways to get to their slip. They move, and that's scary for me, especially when I'm carrying arm loads of stuff. read more

If you are on their good side and don't stand up to them everything will be just fine. When they break something on your boat time after time and you say something about it, watch out. They will deny your complaint and find a way to blame you. Then you see their true color and bad attitude. The name says marina but it's actually an entire complex on the St. Johns River. There's the obvious features of marina, boat storage, boat rentals, and gas. But there's also a café, hair salon, and a very active bar and restaurant. The staff make BoatTree special. We're new customers - storing our boat there. The staff is always friendly, greets me by name, and are super helpful. The bar is hopping on weekends and the cafe makes really good sandwiches. They even have a live aboard community. BoatTree is a fun place to keep your boat, grab a meal, or have a drink with friends. read more

I would not recommend anyone have business with Boat Tree Marina. They do not take responsibility for their negligence. They try to manage more boats than they can handle. If you ask to have your boat pulled out of the water Monday morning they will not get it out of the water until Thursday. Then when your boat is sinking due to an unknown issue they should have found when you had your boat serviced there and you asked them to look it over because you just purchased the boat they will call you 3 days after you request them to pull your boat out of the water to jokingly tell you to come bring a bilge pump to the dock that they manage to get the water out of the boat. Both the dock harbormaster and several employees told us that they walk the dock every day and saw that our boat was sinking and still did nothing about it even though our boat was in their care. When we tried to use our boat after this incident of course it did not work like it did before because they let it sink. When we tried to get our boat repaired with them after this incident the service manager Jennifer was completely rude and unwilling to help or take any responsibility for what we believe they caused. After we expressed our concerns and wanted to speak to a manager or owner we were then called back by Jennifer the rude service manager to tell us to come pick our boat up and they could no longer help us. This is the boat that they messed up in their care and now they are refusing to even look at it to see what is wrong. Stay away from this company. Ive requested the owner speak with me in office and still sent out the rude service manager Jennifer and then requested they call. Have not heard nothing. I will be taking them to small claims court due to their unwillingness to take responsibility for their negligence. . Update: After getting my boat repaired at another repair shop I was told that the two small holes in the bottom of my boat were holes for front compartment drainage. It had nothing to do with the boat sinking in the water. The boat sinking in the water was due to a faulty bilge pump that shorted out while it was in the water for several days at boat tree Marina. This is something That can happen to any boat and I would hope that a reputable marina would catch this if someone's boat was sinking while in their care. Especially since I just had my boat service there and ask them to give it a one over to see if there was anything that needed to be fixed because I just purchased the boat. After getting my boat repaired I had to pay for the same repairs plus more that I paid boat tree marina to repair when I first bought my boat to them. I have records of both of the repairs and the receipts. Furthermore I am very surprised to know that boat tree Marina would not know that the two small holes in the front of my boat were holes for the drainage for the front compartments in my triumph boat which is a common boat but a lot of other customers have. I am very disappointed in the service I received from boat tree Marina both when storing my boat there and getting my boat service there. I would not recommend anyone do business with this business. I still have yet to receive a call from the business owner which I have asked for on several occasions even though they find time to respond to my complaints. read more

DO NOT RENT BOATS HERE! Absolutely disgusted with the level of professionalism and courtesy my wife and I experienced today! My wife and I rented a pontoon boat that they said is "ready to go" at 8:30 am but after 30 minutes of paperwork and boat orientation that's not the case. Then they tell you to be back in the marina by 4:00 pm, which we were, but according to her it must be "tied up" so needless to say they charged us a LATE FEE FOR 3 minutes because it takes 5 minutes to get through the NO Wake Marina!! Being a business owner in the community we strive on spending our money to help local businesses but I WILL NEVER SPEND another dime or refer any of my customers there again. read more

The Boat Tree Marina has great restaurant The Deli and absolutely clean & wonderful facilities such as the pool and laundry facilities. Everything is maintained nicely. Niece and nephew were in town to celebrate their anniversary and we wanted to do something different. We decided to rent a pontoon boat from Boat Tree Marina. We opted for the 1/2 day rental due to time limitations on our part. I can't say enough about how smoothly the whole process went. I rented the boat online. Upon arrival I took care of the paperwork in the office. The boat was already cleaned and waiting for us. They provided a map of the St. John's with locations by channel marker. We had a great time, even when we got pelted with heavy rain. We will certainly be renting from this marina in the future. read more

Boat Tree is located in the marina section off of Lake Monroe, to the west of the I-4 overpass and the public launch. Boat Tree in Sanford is a full service dealer, marina and boat rental. I'm reviewing the boat rental portion. We've rented boats for full and 1/2 days, both the pontoon boats and their smaller speed boat. Boats are in good condition, have been ready for departure at the scheduled time and with good preliminary equipment overview before launching. The pontoons are nice for a slow time ride up the St. John's for 4-6 people (comfortably), you can make it to the springs and back easily. However, the speed boat allows for more ground to cover and the bonus of not switching out the gas tanks. If you've handled a boat previously, go for the speedboat. The staff is very friendly, check in and check out are completed quickly. Reservations are taken over the phone and held with a credit card, it's wise to call a week or two in advance. A nice way to spend a FL day! read more

My grandfather just had his pontoon boat serviced here in mid April . They were great . Service team was fantastic :) we drove in on the water . Brian in service dept was phenomenal !!!!. He went above and beyond to explain and keep us informed on the process . When my grandfather picked the boat up via water Brian even walked to boat with him helped untie and uncovered and explain things to make him feel comfortable . My husband took his boat in on a Saturday to see if it could be repaired, and was told that they wouldn't be able to look at it until Tuesday. We didn't hear back from them so my husband called on Thursday. They said they had been busy and unable to look at it. We waited until the next week and called again. They still hadn't looked at it. This went on for three weeks. The boat is sentimental to us because it was my father in laws boat, but we needed an upgrade for ourselves. We thought it would be nice to fix it up for our son. We had looked on Boat Trees sales lot and picked out two boats we were possibly interested in, but needed to know how much our old boat was going to cost to fix so we knew how much we wanted to put down on a new boat. My husband got tired of waiting for Boat Tree so he called on Saturday, three weeks after taking the boat to them, and told the lady who answered the phone that he was going to come get the boat. She didn't apologize, as a matter of fact she was very unconcerned about his experience or lack there of, with this company. We are so thankful we held off on buying the new boat with them and we were probably very lucky that we didn't have them fix our old one...not that they seemed interested in even quoting us..I think we got a great idea of how they do business. read more

I don't know if the staff were having a bad day or what but I had a god awful experience the other day at Boat Tree Marina. The staff were very rude regarding docking the boat. When we arrived back at the dock, the woman "assisting" us was very disgruntled about the Bimini top being down and we were not notified to raise it back up upon return. She was very pushy and arrogant when we were unloading and clearly knew we had someone with a disability and a wheelchair needing to unload and still pulled all 3 doors to where they were facing the water instead of the dock where we had to climb over the side of the boat and pull it around to get the guest off. In all, the staff were not having a good day and I'm sure they were ready to go home so that is why I am putting 2 stars. If any staff from Boat Tree is reading this, please get your act together and show some respect for disabled passengers. You never know what they have to deal with! read more
