There were plenty of chances to take a picture with Rocky Bluewinkle and the Chick-fil-A cow, which happened to be there that night. I was just disappointed I didn't get to meet Mr. Celery. Too busy with his on-field antics, I guess. In-game host and entertainment were also fun. Adult drinks are quite cheap compared to a MLB ballpark, as are the tickets. Because it's a small stadium, there is not a bad seat in the house! Frawley has your standard ballpark food. Chickie's and Pete's gets pretty busy, so get there early or off peak during the game. 20 minute walk from the Amtrak station on a beautiful trail along the river. It's so easy to visit from out of town.

Visited the Santander Arena this past weekend for an old school hip hop concert. I didn't even know…read morethe arena existed prior to my friend suggested this concert. After this show, I doubt I'd see another show here. The area is conveniently located across from a hotel, which is great if you're traveling to Reading, PA like we were from another city or state. Unfortunately I cannot review the parking situation, because with took a Lyft there. But it seemed like everyone parked away from the arena. All of the staff was extremely friendly. From the attendant that helped us find our seats to the nice lady who sold us the $15 deuce-deuce can I'd Trulys. It's really sad how ridiculous these arena prices arena! The seats at the Santander were horrible. Of course because it's a concert, everybody was dancing and having a great time, but the seats were wobbling and moving more than we were. I felt like I was going to end up in the floor! The sound system wasn't the best either. Most times, the music was completely overpowering the artist. For these two reasons, I doubt I'll be back. But the concert was great!

Unfortunately our table was called up to the buffet line and they were out of six items on the line. I had to wait for 10 minutes before they brought out the food for the six items that were missing no beef no rolls no bacon no salad no fried onions no mushrooms, it was make your own cheesesteak when I asked the woman that called our table. She blamed it on the kitchen. I feel sorry for the chef because the food was exceptional and on point they just did not communicate with the kitchen that they were out of food. The desserts looked lovely, but they ran out before I could get any, it's unfortunate to have point on excellent food and a great chef but the buffet line didn't have the food it was in the kitchen .

I attended a wedding reception at the Chase Center this past weekend and it was fabulous. The venue…read moreis enormous; there were two weddings taking place at the same time and we never crossed paths. There is a huge parking lot and the Center conveniently connects to the Westin Hotel, which was a no-brainer for guests who over indulged at the festivities. There was a separate ballroom for cocktail hour and the actual reception, and it was more than enough space for 180 guests. The main ballroom is beautiful with a large dance floor, bar, and plenty of room for round tables, a DJ stand, dessert bar, etc. The staff had service down to a science. Hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour were continuously replenished, dinner entrees were served one entire table at a time so that no one guest would be left without food, and I never had to wait more than a few minutes at the bar for a drink despite the constant line of guests. What really surprised me about the Chase Center was their catering. You don't hear this often, but the food was AMAZING. The cocktail hour had passed dishes such as bacon wrapped scallops, crab cakes, and pork belly, all of which were extremely popular. The bride and groom also selected the Pan Asian station, which should be at every wedding. It featured chicken skewers, dumplings, tempura shrimp, various sushi rolls, and dipping sauces. I couldn't help myself, it was all so good that I hardly saved room for dinner. My entree was steak "medallions" which were really more like two entire 3 or 4 ounce fillets. They were perfectly cooked delicious. There were also vegetables and mashed potatoes in gravy, and despite being way too full from earlier everyone around me cleared their plates. My only complaints are minor. Those who paid for the wedding were disappointed that they could not box all the leftover food. We understood it's not a restaurant, but if food is completely paid for and prepared and served in-house it shouldn't go in the trash. Also, the staff promptly locked off the bridal suite adjacent to the ballroom after the event ended, leaving bouquets, clothing, and other items belonging to the bridal party stuck inside until the following Monday.

The setup is simple and allows you to be able to capture the entire ceremony. The ambiance of the outside is gorgeous and makes for great background in your pictures... All together a wonderful venue!…read more Came here for a Forrest Frank concert and unfortunately got thunderstormed out :( which isn't exactly the Venus fault but something to keep in mind when heading to an outdoor concert. Thankfully the concert got rescheduled to the following day and I was able to experience everything about Hershey stadium. The stadium itself is wonderful, all the seats are great and the sound and screen quality is excellent. Bathrooms are very nice and super easily accessible from the grandstands. I didn't get anything from the vendors but the options looked decently solid, just kinda your basic stadium food.

Tim Mcgraw Fiasco Inconsistent Statements: * We don't allow metal seats at all (Chris Stapleton concert had many) * If you get prior approval for medical reasons it's allowed * We don't allow them at all * Nobody currently inside has any * I don't know if anyone got in at a different entry point * If we allow them and you decide to use it as a weapon (only those getting over served alcohol will behave like that) * If something happens you can sue (I could sue if I am sitting on a seat with no back and get injured) * I am not going to continue answering your questions (Holly--who lied when I asked for her name because she didn't want a complaint made) The gentleman we talked to was nothing but polite and professional. Tip: This arena is located at Hersheypark…read more Hersheypark Sports Complex contains Giant Center, which is home arena for the Hershey Bears, which is the American Hockey League (AHL) farm team of the Boston Bruins. The Bears have an amazing winning record. Years ago, when the Manitoba Moose (the AHL farm team of the Winnipeg Jets) was making its playoff run, it had a series against the Hershey Bears. Like the passionate hockey fan that I can be, I did a road trip from Markham to Hershey, PA. I also visited the Hershey store while I was in the city. I love Hershey's chocolate, but I was here for the game. I attended game 4 of the playoffs series. I remember speaking to a parking attendant and paying for parking. She said, "Go, Bears!" to me. She didn't realize that my vehicle had a Ontario licence plate and I was likely cheering for the opponent. I don't recall getting any snacks or drinks during the game. I do recall having a decent view of the rink and being sad that the Moose had lost against the Bears in that game. Bears fans are passionate folks. It was nice to see. One of these days, I'll need to return and take in an AHL game. I wasn't on Yelp back then and didn't take a ton of photos. I will next time. (354)

Season Ticket Holder Perspective (Section 104, Row C, Seats 1 & 2)…read more If you're going to do hockey in Hershey, you do it at the Giant Center and my seats (Section 104, Row C, 1 & 2) are chef's kiss for Hershey Bears games. Three rows off the ice means you feel every hit, hear every skate carve, and occasionally get a good "did-I-just-flinch-at-a-puck?" moment. And if you're lucky you might just get a puck! The view straight across the ice is fantastic. Now... the view down toward the far goal on the right? Yeah, no. The distortion from the glass is rough. It's like watching hockey through a funhouse mirror. You'll catch the general idea but don't expect crystal clarity unless the play comes back your way. Sound System for Bears Games: Let me be blunt... it's aggressively loud. Like "why am I being yelled at by speakers during warm-ups?" loud. If you're sensitive to sound, bring earplugs or prepare to be spiritually tackled by the decibel levels. Concerts: This is where the Giant Center gets unpredictable. Most concerts I've seen here suffer from rough acoustics... muddy sound, too much reverb, and vocals that disappear into a void. BUT Trans-Siberian Orchestra on 11/23/25? Shockingly great. Crisp, powerful, balanced. It was the rare show where the sound team actually tamed the concrete cavern. Parking: Oh boy. Getting in and out is a nightmare. It is chaos every single time. Too many lanes funneling into too few exits. Every event at Hershey Park, Hershey Stadium AND the Giant Center all fighting for the same roads. If you come here often, pack patience and maybe a snack for the car. Food & Concessions: Perfectly average venue fare, nothing amazing, definitely nothing healthy, and priced like it's made of truffles and hopes. You're paying for convenience and location, not culinary excellence. Overall: This is our local go-to venue, and I'll always show up for my Bears and the big touring acts. The energy is great, the games are a blast, and concerts can be magical when the sound behaves. But between the parking mess, inconsistent acoustics, and sensory-overload sound levels at games, it's far from perfect. Still... it's Hershey. It's home. And I'll be back in my same seats next week yelling for the Bears.
