My situation: 1) Fridge delivery guys arrive 'that valve does not work with this fridge anymore, we need to take the fridge and send it some other day, (blah, blah, rude) might incur on new shipping expenses on your side, we don't know' 2) Get on Yelp, call Bob for the first time, explain situation. Agree on overtime payment due to emergency. 3) 15min later Bob arrives! While the delivery guys are finishing the washer and dryer install (ready to leave afterwards) valve is changed and Fridge is delivered!!! Bob saved the day! Woot woot! Bob responded quickly (1.5 hrs) to my initial service request, and accurately diagnosed and repaired a couple of stubborn leaks in a shower and toilet. I was shocked at the terrible service I received from Bob DeShano Plumbing, especially in view of his good online reviews. To quickly summarize, it took Bob two weeks from my first phone call to finally schedule an appointment with my tenants. Finally, the scheduled appointment time arrived (five days and two weeks after the first phone call), and Bob sends me a TEXT to tell me that he doesn't accept out of state checks 30 minutes before the appointment is scheduled! Talk about unprofessional! He had five whole days from when he learned my address to tell me that he wouldn't accept my check, but he waited until 30 minutes before the appointment to inform me. I got a very annoyed call from my tenant who came home early to meet the no-show plumber. I own five rental properties and have hired dozens of handymen and plumbers, and this was by far the most unprofessional service I have ever received. Not to mention, this was the first time a repair service would not accept any form of out-of-state payment (check, credit card, or Paypal). Don't worry about my out-of-state check, Bob, you will not receive that or any other form of business from me ever again. To those looking for a good plumber, there are plenty of other good plumbing services in the area, don't waste your time on Bob DeShano Plumbing. read more

Absolutely excellent. I had a leaking shower valve, and the plumber my home warranty sent out said the could not fix it, and I would need to remodel my shower( it faces an exterior wall). I called Bob this morning after reading reviews on Yelp. I told him what was going on and he said he could fix it, no problem. Did I mention we had to turn our water off for two days! Bob showed up, and by god he fixed that shower valve. We are going to remodel, but on our schedule, and Bob will be doing the plumbing. read more

I contacted Bob during the recent ice storm. He replied that an appointment had just opened up and said he would be on his way. He provided some feedback on what I could do to expediate the repairs and got to my house as soon as he could. All I can say is thank goodness for Bob. We are in the process of moving into a new home and are unpacking. We show up at the house on Saturday morning to find water dripping from the ceiling. Just can't believe it. We don't know any service providers and here we are with an emergency. I zip out to Yelp and find a few options. Start to make calls and Bob, yes Bob, answers his phone. First I breathe a sign of relief that there is a person on the line. And then the big news -- he says he will be over in about an HOUR. Yes, about an hour. He arrived early. Bob was a truly nice person and a professional in his trade. In short order he identified the problem and made quick work of correcting our leak. Thanks to Bob our stress level went down immediately. Not only did he address our plumbing issue he was able to provide a referral for someone to handle the sheet rock repair we now need because of the water damage. I am surprised by the positive reviews. Bob was indeed prompt when responding to our call for a repair issue. He was in our house the same day and quickly "fixed" the plumbing problem with our bathroom. The issue is that the problem came back within days. When I contacted Bob again to come back and fix it, he did not return my calls, voicemails, or texts. Mistakes happen, but I think it's unprofessional to ignore a client when the service that was paid for was not actually done properly. We ended up fixing the problem ourselves and will not be using this particular plumber again. read more

I do not know why this company has not been reviewed yet! Bob came out to install some faucets and sinks after we installed new countertops in our bathrooms. He gave me an estimate on the phone and was able to come the next day. His prices are very reasonable and he did a thorough and complete job. He came into some problems with our old equipment, but gave me options on how I would like to fix them. In addition, he is a genuinely nice guy and pleasant to be around. Bob came promptly to repair a broken outdoor water faucet...on a weekend, no less....and his price was reasonable. To turn the water off at that faucet, which my Sweetie accidentally broke trying to change the faucet himself, the water had to be turned off in the entire house. Thank you, Bob!
