I am highly recommending Bob Heinmiller for solar panels. Four of those big companies that come door-to-door quoted me twice as much as Bob Heinmiller for the exact same brand and model of panels and micro inverters that I got from Bob Heinmiller. That was a $20,000 difference in my case. With the big companies, they would write up a deal to save $10 to $20 a month on your electric bill but why take that deal when you can save hundreds a month? After doing extensive research I discovered that the 4 big companies that gave me quotes just sub-contract everything out and I realized I could cut those middlemen out by going with a local installer to get a far better price. I checked out several local installers. I was looking for one that would be a one stop shop for any kind of maintenance on my solar system including roof issues causes by installation. I wanted to be able to call one company and get anything fixed over the next 25 years with no out-of-pocket cost. Most local installers provided this. I did research how long the local companies have been in the solar business also. Several companies, even the bigger companies, come and go quickly. I didn't want to hire a company that had only been in business a few years. Bob Heinmiller has been in business a very long time, over 15 years and they don't subcontract anything. Reviews I've read for Bob Heinmiller almost all had high praise. The only negatives I could find were written by people that weren't happy with how long it took the electric company to set up net metering or financing problems which is beyond the control of any installer. I even spoke with a few of their customers personally and they all had very high opinions with Bob Heinmiller Solar. I would highly encourage anyone looking into installing solar panels to call Mike Lane at Bob Heinmiller Solar. I bought a new array to generate enough electricity to offset almost the entire electric company bills annually and I also got solar panels to heat my pool. Both are working great. I am very happy with the education, the quick response, and price I got from Mike Lane and his team. They did a good job cleaning up after the installation and the whole thing only took them 6 hours in 1 day. My payback for this system is only around 5.7 years at which point I'll will have generated enough electricity to have fully paid for my panels after my 30% tax break. My payoff will be less than 5.7 years if the electric rates go up. If you are looking to get solar or upgrade what you have you should be giving Bob Heinmiller a call. You won't be sorry. read more

do not buy from this company! They do not back what they're work. The worst company I've ever worked with! So many problems from day one. forgot to install all solar panels. Putting pipes over the filter of the water heater so you could not change. From not turning on the system for six months. And now the power inverter failed and they want to charge to install a new one. I've talked to few different solar companies and they said they warranty all of this work. read more

Buyer Beware! I purchased an 8-panel solar pool system in 2019. In less than 3 years there was a complete system failure. When the first 3 panels failed after 2 years, August 2021, I paid $115 to replace the panels. A few months later, June 2022, the other 5 panels failed, and they charged me $575 to replace. They claimed they mischarged me originally, but I confirmed with two people in the company that was their normal fee. Based on the warranty I could not go elsewhere so they took complete advantage. Even claiming that they recorded me saying that I agreed to the price. They didn't mention the several calls complaining about the price prior and the promise to complain to the BBB and the State of Florida for unethical behavior and price gouging. I have called this company to transfer my pool solar panels to another side of the house and to get rid of the solar panels that were leaking. They did but broke the aluminum of the side of the roof. The aluminum fall into the screened porch breaking two panels. When I was able to figured out what was that metal thing in my porch I called because if that and because I have a leak coming out of the panels. They sent some guy and said that his boss will be calling me. He never did so I called and came out with the excuse that it could have been a storm that broke the aluminum. That they never set a ladder in the side of the house. That is not true because I just got it fixed and the contractor said that there is no way to put all the solar tubes in that area so close to the edge without using a latter. Never said anything about the leak. They just said that I called 3 months after the work was completed. Stay away from this company they don't take care of the mess they make. I will be contacting BBB and writing a complain. No sir. You don't know what are you talking about. I saw that metal in my porch and I couldn't figure out were it came from. I just had it repaired and the man that fixed it said that the tubes are so close to the edge that there is no way you wouldn't be having to use a latter. Anyways THE PANELS ARE LEAKING. I told the sale man to take the once that were not leaking and get ride of them. You put the broken once and took the once that were fine. Probably sold them. Come see it by yourself. I hate to leave a bad review, but if this is truly a good company, they will read this and improve their services. I've made appointments for the past 2 days, and even called myself to confirm they are coming, and no one shows up! Each time I am given a 2 hr window of when the tech will be here, but no phone calls from anyone ... nothing. I live in a gated community, so I would know if a tech were here and left. When I call the company after the fact, they seem as if they have no clue as to what's going on. Frustrating, and frankly, a waste of time. read more

I want to tell you my first experience with Bob Heinmiller solar has been stellar. I have used them for my air-condition and it was good but their solar group exceed my expectations. We need some roof work done and I had to have them come out and do removal and replacement of the panels with the rainy weather they were running behind but kept me informed. But there group was great to deal with and did an outstanding job of replacing my panels for my pool. They also made great suggestions to add value to existing panels (such as new hurricane resistant clamps) They were ontime and right on target budget wise, I say give this folks a chance they really do great work. read more
