This is hands down the best A/C company I have ever used. We live in a condo and had issues with our downstairs neighbor to replace our Freon line. They were the most affordable, on top of having 4 different companies come take a look and give us a quote. The customer service was outstanding from beginning to end and they were very patient and knowledgeable. They even called another worker to come and help when they couldn't figure out why our AC wasn't getting cold after replacing the line and he was able to get it running correctly. They went above and beyond to fix our AC in times where Carrier, the product manufacturer, is back-ordered on parts (mainly due to the current war between Russia & Ukraine These countries supply mineral and gas components needed to make semi conductors (neon, palladium) The part needed to fix our AC needed a new semiconductor. This got fried during a power surge. Carrier has over 30 parts (that uses semiconductors) on back order til weeks from now. We are satisfied with how Greens Energy have meet our needs, and we will keep on recommending them to our friends. Greens tried to take advantage of me as a new home owner. They could see we were moving in with boxes and came to do a service call. Our AC UNIT is just a couple years old but at first try tried to say the parts were not covered under warranty because it didn't transfer and we weren't the original owners. When I pushed back they said it was covered under warranty and said the labor to replace a fan motor is $475. I have called other AC repair places and quoted around $350. We found ourselves in a pickle when we went to buy our house and found a 287 gallon oil tank in the backyard with over 200 pounds of oil inside. We were at a loss: how do you get rid of this much oil? And what do you do with the tank? We decided to call our AC company, who referred us to Greens. We discussed the tank promptly with Melanie and were told that their technician, Darrin, would get back with us shortly. We had a small wait--about a week--to hear back, but then had a home visit the next day after speaking with him, and a week later the oil tank was out of the ground. Darrin was friendly and communicative and was more than willing to answer all of our questions regarding our oil disposal and tank removal. He was also available by phone for follow up questions. We also spoke with Melanie quite a bit, who was a key liaison during the whole process! I don't usually write reviews but I want to save others from having a similar experience. If you are a business owner, or anyone really, DO NOT USE THS COMPANY. We bought a brand new commercial unit from Greens, spent well over 10K in addition to paying for numerous service calls and we have had nothing but trouble due to poor installation. Approximately every 2 months the system has gone down for one reason or another. My business cannot operate if the a/c is down due to the medical grade adhesive we use, and this company has cost me thousands of dollars in cancelled appointments. Instead of standing by their work or trying to help a small business owner in desperate times they give me false time windows, send out techs with improper equipment ( a 12 ft ladder is needed to access the inside unit) and then gaslight me when I call to check up on the techs. Last night the 24 hour emergency dispatch told me they would be here between 8am and 9am, then this morning when I called they tell me it will be between 11am and 1pm. I would have made back up plans and other arrangements with other companies had I known this. I spoke with "Bill" and not sure if he is the manager or owner but I have never been treated with more disrespect in my life. He told me that since I didn't have a service plan with the company anymore we don't get priority scheduling. I've paid almost $15,000 to this company over the years and the reason I don't have a continuing service plan with them is that they could never seem to come out when we needed them and always had a million excuses. Bill claims that dispatch did not tell me they would be here between 8am and 9am and that they record the calls. Bill, I challenge you to play me that recording because they did indeed promise me that time frame. As a business owner myself I never write bad reviews or try to harm another businesses' reputation but in this case I'm looking into a lawsuit, alerting the Better Business Bureau and I'm also trying to warn others looking for a reliable commercial A/C company with integrity. Our a/c went out Saturday night and when I called on Sunday to see if anyone could come out, they showed up 45 minutes later. The technician was polite, had shoe covers over his shoes which I appreciated and was quick in figuring out the problem. Aaron and Josh pulled in at 8:30am Monday morning with our system and did a beautiful job removing the old system and installing the new! After having issues with my AC, it was determined I needed a new unit. I was given multiple options by my Greens advisor at different price points. Once I made my choice, I was told when and what to expect by the schedulers. The installers showed right on time, and were fantastic! I would ask for Joel, Misael, and Curtis if I ever needed more work done. They were quick, efficient, and knew their business. Additionally, Greens is the first company that figured out how to adjust my duct work to even out the temperature throughout my house(I have had 2-3 other companies look in the past and never even give me options on how to fix it. Greens Energy installed my A/C 15 years ago and its still working fine. They have serviced the unit for me from the time it was installed. I always was able to get a afternoon appointment for my service due to my work schedule. However they have changed there policy and only do service appointments in the AM. They need to rethink this policy and reconsider there loyal customers in order to keep them. I'm in the market for a new Trane unit and now I'm questioning do I look elsewhere. read more

There pricing was the highest for all the quotes by thousands of dollars with all of the same warranties and SER ratings. They do not break down charges. Unbelievable that they can get away with their unethical billing practices. The charged me $79 service all that took 5 minutes to detect the problem. I needed two capacitors. A run and a start. I was told by a friend these are inexpensive and he warned me they were overcharging but Bill Green would not talk to me to provide me with the details on the pricing. As a single women with medical issues I was desperate to get my air repaired therefore I took the chance knowing something wasn't right. BUT when I found out later that I was TOTALLY RIPPED off I was OUTRAGED how severely. HOW CAN THIS BE happening so easily in this country with no repercussions. Essentially I PAID A TOTAL of $470 for a 15 minute repair and a 5 minute diagnostic. These capacitors are very simple to uninstall and install... they only have a couple wires to connect. BREAKDOWN $79 service call - diagnosis took 5 minutes - just needed to use read the voltage. $201 - run capacitor retail cost=less then $35 $189 - start kit (all this is a start capacitor & a relay) wholesale cost = less than $50 TOTAL I PAID = $470 PARTS = less than $85 END RESULT !!!!!!!! ONLY LABOR= $310 for 15 minutes !!!!!!!!!!!! OUTRAGED.....this needs to end.....it is a corrupt business practice and how many folks don't even know how much they were ripped off.....TIME FOR the MEDIA TO STEP IN. Called and scheduled for the company to come out to my house and find a freon leak. Tech showed up to the house and found the leak fairly quickly.... tech explained the leak and how he would fix it(which was a simple repair and recharge system) he comes back with $1,000 to do the repair. I by no means am an expert when it comes to ac repair, I know enough to keep me out of trouble. Back in early 2012, the time came for me when my cheap, contractor-grade house AC seemed to be costing unreasonable amounts to operate. I read some positive Google reviews about Greens, and decided to go with them. They came out and gave me an expert assessment, and replaced my whole system for a great price with great service. Cut to five years later, aka this past week. Probably the best way to say it was that I had a bad string of things happen with my equipment. First, my evap coil develops a hole..there goes all my freon. Greens had someone out to me within the hour. I was informed that my system was under the 10yr parts warranty, and that the failing EC would be fixed once that new part was ordered and in. They came out a couple weeks later to replace it. It too, was found to have a huge hole...there goes all my freon. They were out again to respond to this within a couple hours, and got my replacement in. This worked for a day or so until...... The next night, my lady and I were sitting on the deck when we heard our condenser unit start making a clunking noise...there goes the AC out yet again. The AC did come back on and cooled the house, but I nonetheless had a highly responsive tech (on a weekend call no less) check it out. He didn't find anything, but this was all short-lived. When we came home last night, my air was out once again. Cut to today, 7/10. Greens then put me on priority once again (VP Bill called me to let me know) and had a tech out within the hour. He diagnosed a bad compressor and harness, and something else I can't remember. A short while later, an unexpected surprise came when Bill once again called, to let me know that he contacted the manufacturer and they'd agreed to get me a whole brand new condenser unit! He told me that two major components failing within such a short amount of time was rare, and I certainly believed him...I've lived here for 20+ years. Techs are installing the new unit as I type this. Talk about taking care of a customer. This to me is above and beyond on all levels. Greens could in no way help that I had some faulty equipment that didn't even want to give a scant decade's performance; they simply did the best they could with the response and service times, and with that they performed absolutely STELLAR. Had them come out on 5/8/19 because my ac was freezing up. Was told it needed freon. Let's just say I spent $400 to have 2 lbs put in. Plus $100 for them to show up. $150 a lb of freon is a bit excessive!! Because of this I certainly will not be using them ever again!! Had used Green's in the past and when my girlfriend had A/C issues I recommended them to her. What a mistake! The first technician (Winston) came out originally and he was polite and friendly. He stated the motor for the condenser was bad and it needed to be replaced. She paid him over $600.00 dollars for this work. When she arrived home from work, the house was 90 degrees and the unit was not running. She called and Green's responded properly by sending a technician out at 10pm. Rock solid customer service at that point. Sadly, things went downhill quickly. The technician, (George), was rude and condescending from the outset. He even rolled his eyes to my girlfriend on a few instances. After an hour or so, George re-emerged from working on the air handler and said......"I don't know what the problem is, but it will take too long to fix tonight." Having remained silent throughout his time here, I asked....."if you don't know the issue, how do you know how long it will take to fix?" George immediately took offense and when I asked him what we should do, he said we should call Air-Flow! He stated he would not be treated this way and stormed out! I swear I never got out of my chair or raised my voice. He was a prima donna and behaved accordingly. The next morning Green's service manager Judy called to discuss the next step. Throughout the call she said George was her 'Best Technician", (she previously said Winston was),. I asked why her "BEST' Tech was working the graveyard shift and she got aggressive and said she wasn't going to be insulted. It was a legitimate question, not an insult. Could it be he works nights because his people skills are lacking? She called back a bit later and said she would not deal with hostile people and if we have a problem with it, we could talk to Mr. Green on Tuesday. She also stated she would refund all of the money spent $600-800 and to call someone else. Why would you refund money for work done if you were right and we were wrong? I personally found George unprofessional and Judy's defense of him laughable. Needless to say, I will never recommend Green's to anyone again. A once great company has obviously lost their direction. We have used Green's twice when our A/C has died. Both times, they have been able to come out same-day, which is a lifesaver! Both technicians were friendly and took the time to explain what they were doing and what needed to be fixed. (The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that they are not too specific on what time the techs will be able to come...last time "after 1" turned out to be 5:30.
