Drove down from Guthrie tonight to potentially purchase a Toyota Highlander they had listed online at $18400. We test drove it and inspected the vehicle. Overall it was what we expected with the exception of a bad cut in the leather in the backseat and melted candy on the dash. I decided I could probably repair it myself and wouldn't haggle on the price. Our sales person was Victoria and she did fine. She back kept going back and forth from the sales manager with lists of upsell items. I told them I'm not paying a penny over the asking price. My wife and I both have 750+ credit scores and had pre-approval for the loan. Should have been a cut and dry transaction but the sales manager came out and tried get an extra $2k on top of the listed $18k for doing nothing. So we said no thanks and left. It is a deception to list a car for a set price and then raise it at time of sale. They hadn't even washed the car and it was dirty inside but they wanted us to pay for ceramic paint coating. Beware of these deceptive practices. Wasted my time and money. They will never get mine or my family's business in the future. Edit: After seeing several other people have this same experience at this dealership I have decided to contact the Oklahoma Attorney General and Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Commission regarding their practices. Under OCPA §15-753, unlawful practices include these sales tactics. "Bait and switch" or advertising without intent to sell at the advertised price. If this happens to you go to the Attorney Generals website: oklahoma.gov/oag (under "Complaints & Tip Lines" , "Consumer Complaint Form"). Also oklahoma.gov/onmvc under "Complaints". I bought a brand new vehicle so that I could have peace of mind knowing that I had a good dependable vehicle to safely get me down the road! my Santa Cruz has a bent strut & control arm & the wheel hub is broken, ALL on the driver side which is the same side the front tire bends inward. Probably because of the bent strut, but, anyway.... Bob Howard refused to fix my truck under warranty because my husband had a fender bender on the passenger side which IS NOT even the side that the damages are on!!!!!! I went to a different Hyundai dealer to get a 2nd opinion & Bob Howard misdiagnosed my vehicle!! So now I'm back to not having a dependable vehicle because this JOKE of a car dealership won't fix my truck under warranty! I've had to miss family events & funerals because I can't drive my NEW truck due to the damage underneath it! And the stupid insurance company will only pay for the tire on the passenger side which doesn't even need to be replaced! I can't roll my eyes loud enough at this place. I really hate car shopping. I wouldn't be doing it if my ONLY car wasn't totaled last month. Which funnily enough was a Hyundai that I wanted to replace.... Which brings me here. I was recommended here by a friend being told it was a great place to go for an honest genuine deal... lies. Whenever I got there I was greeted by a Latino women (not racist, this is factual) her accent was thick and I had a hard time understanding her. And I think she used that to her advantage to get people to agree to things. I took one Santa Fe for a test drive which I liked but it had some past damage and some signs of moisture build up in the cabin. So that was a no from me. They had a vehicle that was basically my old cars twin or older sister whichever... they had it priced a little higher than I wanted. They tried to force a credit application and payment agreement on me for an amount I didn't agree to before they'd be willing to negotiate. I didn't like how I felt and got up and walked out. I was followed to my vehicle and it was rather unsettling. The manager has a smile that reminds me of the grinch. Empty, phoney, fake. Snake like almost. No thank you. Unless they'd like to actually negotiate on my own terms where I can pay CASH for the entire purchase then we will chat. Otherwise... I'll be going elsewhere and so should everyone else. read more

This review is for the service center. I've visited twice now, in December 2022 and May 2023. Overall, frustrating and misleading experiences both times. My first visit I purposely scheduled in the afternoon because their website says you get a 10% off discount. I confirmed this on the phone when I scheduled the appointment as well. I brought my car in, the check in process was easy, and they got a complimentary Lyft to bring me home. I then get a text with a link to approve any extra recommended services from looking at my car. It was pretty intuitive, and I appreciated it. However, I noticed that the total estimate was less than what was on the website. I thought it was odd but wasn't going to complain. They text me that my car is ready and get another Lyft to pick me up. I show up and am faced with a larger bill than what was on the website and definitely larger than what was on the recommended service total. I know that car maintenance is expensive and worth it, but it's still traumatizing to have to drop a ton of money that you had been lulled into believing would be discounted. Oh also, the 10% discount did not seem to be there either. I don't even remember if I asked about it because I was in such shock at the total. I paid it because whatever. I get in my car, and the check engine light is on... I literally turn off my car and go back inside, ready to have a panic attack. They readily take it back in and confirm that they just hadn't plugged something back in and that it was triggering a sensor. They then offered to take my car to fill up the gas tank as an apology which I accepted while on the verge of tears. I stand in the waiting room for what feels like 30 minutes waiting for my car to come back so that I can go mourn the balance of my savings account. When I was standing at the check out window, I saw a sign that said to email the manager if you weren't completely satisfied with your visit. I took a picture, and the next day I decided to email, particularly about the pricing situation. The manager Eric followed up with calls and emails within a day, telling me that I had caught a true accounting error between their systems, and that yes I had not been given the 10% off for the afternoon service. We agreed that I would get $100 off the next time I came in-- to keep me as a customer and to not have to go through the refund process (I guess). I saved the email, and he said it would be written in a notebook by the register LOL. Fast forward to the other day where my car started making an odd enough noise that I convinced myself I had to get in immediately since my car was past due anyway. I am grateful that when I called at 7:05am on Tuesday that I was able to get it in immediately for 7:30am. However, on the phone I brought up the promised $100 off to be informed that Eric the manager no longer worked there and that they probably couldn't honor it "but could look in the system." .................. I'm so goofy I should not have taken my car in, but I was desperate and had hope that I would get the discount that was not given to me five months before. Again, check in was easy. I got it in early enough that I just waited in the waiting room for an hour. It is old and grody with peeling chairs, but I think I overheard that they're currently building a new facility? Once again, the recommended extra services text came through, and the prices were lower than they should have been, giving me hope once again. Marley was helpful with looking up my services from last time so that I didn't approve an unneeded and very expensive extra service. She came and got me once my car was ready, and lo and behold, I have no discounts, and it's the full price on the bill. Again, I pay it whatever. I had hoped the system would have been fixed, but apparently not. The work itself on my car has seemed good to my mid-twenties girl self who is not too knowledgeable about cars. I do the Hyundai recommended service packages, so they should be pretty appropriate and unexciting. However, both times they have fully neglected to refill my wiper fluid which is so frustrating. I pay them Hundreds of dollars, and they can't be bothered to pour some liquid that costs $5 a jug into my car........... It's highly unlikely that I'll be back unless I get desperate. First time here after a recent move.Gf brought her 22 Elantra in for an oil change.Mechanic left his VCI plugged in And it continued to beep as we left until I unplugged it.My tire pressure wasn't set, One tire was at 42,one at 39,one at 37,and one at 35. I then had to go back in to get my oil change reminder sticker that they also didn't include.As well as my service interval not being reset. If I knew they'd forget everything I would've saved the money and did it myself. Bought a car there a few weeks ago the more I think about it the more I think I need to share this, the salesman Ross was who I dealt with, couple things that kinda ruined the experience for me and took away my trust in Hyundai, first this is the second time I've gotten a car here, the first time my parents ordered a custom Elantra it was blue and had the works, well when we got there to pick it up I made the comment as we pulled in and a car pulled out that hey that looks like the car I built I really like it in person, well it was my car they had sold it to someone on the lot when it arrived who offered more than we paid to build it and they did it we had ALREADY PAID FOR THE CAR, my dad was furious he handled everything and I went home with a base model Elantra because I was literally moving to Kentucky that afternoon. I loved that car and it was good to me for years so I let that experience go, fast forward eight or so years I think it can't be the same crappy people it's bob howard Hyundai they are a staple name here right?!? Right?! Wrong. The salesman Ross lied straight to my face we went and looked at a fiesta first but they would not drop from 17,500 to 17,000 (when I went back over a week later to pick up keys it was still there :) they would have sold it that day but didn't over 500 ) so since they wouldn't drop we left and we're actually at the Honda dealership looking at a CRV with similar mileage that wouldn't be ready for a few days when he texted me so we went back to look at the car he had found, first he blatantly lied when he told me the hubcaps were bolted on when he heard my concern about them coming off while driving I've literally been hit by a rolling hubcap I don't want to be responsible for it happening to someone else, second he told us his service dept had looked throughly over the car and it was PERFECT drove perfect etc but they had no records of it because they didn't keep those which I thought was weird because the Honda dealership gave us pages of info, well I drove it around and loved it I really did it felt good I didn't feel anything wrong but here's my problem, I didn't take it on the highway because I had just been in a horrible wreck and lost my car and my confidence was not there so I never went over 50 my mom negotiated and we took the car which Ross said was in such good shape he would have bought it for his daughter. My mom noticed it was off on the way home she drove it for me while I took a familiar car home, that afternoon she made me take it home and the way the steering wheel shook on the highway immediately concerned me it was BAD it was so bad it actually hurt my wrist to hold onto the wheel and it was pulling hard to the left. I took it into Firestone on Monday this all happened on Friday afternoon and they did a road safety test on the tires, it failed the test it FAILED THE SAFETY test the front tires were so squared off it wasn't even safe to drive it!!!!!!! The tires were from 2011!!!!!!!!!! How did his people not feel that when THEY test drove it?!? Did they not test drive it or even look at it since there was no paperwork? I had to get two new front tires and the back have to be replaced soon too, if he had been honest and told me would I have still bought the car? Yes if the price was right but they said nothing I thought I was leaving with a car that had just been looked over and test driven and I'm not sure either of those actually happened because the Firestone tech noticed the issues just driving around the block...I also had to align it as well!!! The hubcaps also are not locking they just pop off...Do I love my car yes, do I honestly wish I had gone somewhere else because the trust is broken and gone? Also yes, this experience made it where I will probably never buy another Hyundai, the plan was to trade this car in for a brand new Hyundai in a few months...now I'm going to buy a Honda :-/ *also things to note, at the beginning Ross said he had no idea the car was there till he saw it in the lot after we left and it wasn't listed, later he said he had done all the background work on it and checked it out for his daughter who he had apparently just bought a car from, it was a great emotional hook and we ate it up *the dash on the car is separated above the display it's hard to see at a glance because the whole dash is black I wish I had noticed that as well it's just a cosmetic issue but it bugs me and it's just going to get worse read more

The WORST PLACE EVER! I simply called to get an oil change. I was in Oklahoma City for a few weeks and wasn't near the dealership. I normally deal with which is another Hyundai dealership a couple hours away. When I scheduled the oil change, I immediately got a text message and a phone call, getting hustled into doing a trade in. I told them with all due respect, I will let you know when I'm ready for a trade in. I found that very offputting because I don't have any of those issues at the other Hyundai dealership. then when I got there in the waiting room, the same gentleman that called and texted me, came up to me and started asking me what year my car was to try to start the same speech and I said, sir, I've already told you this morning, I'm not interested in a trade in. It was the SAME guy, I voice and he said oh it sounds like you're being harassed. I need to take care of that lol ugh then the service manager Jakob came over and tried to charge me $450 extra for some brake pads that cost less than $50 to do on my own which I ended up doing and completely lied to me and lied to my boyfriend on the phone. I will never go to this place ever again and I highly recommend no one else does. read more

My daughter in law came in yesterday to your service department because her air conditioner wasn't working. She pulled into the parking lot and got out with her two small children. The employee from the service department jumped on her about not pulling into the bay. He said, I'll do it this time since it seems like you have your hands full. Then he proceeded to tell her that to even run a diagnostic she would have to leave her car there for three days because they were so backed up. She said I have small children and I can't be without a car for that long. He replied, sounds like your problem then walked off. She had two crying children and deserved a little compassion. Feb 28th I purchased a cash vehicle from Bob Howard. I was told it takes up to 60 days to receive my title. I checked in a couple times within the 60 day window and was given different status each time. They had to re-issue another temp tag so I could legally drive until my title came in. When 60 days came and went, I was told that BHH would pay any fines if I send a receipt. Nearly 4 months into the title saga and still hadn't received a title, and was issued yet another temp tag. When i went to the dealership to ask if I could return the car,I told them that I had sunk lots of money into it and would need to recoup both parts and labor. They agreed to buy the car back and they would reimburse me for parts. I fixed the car in good faith that I'd retain ownership and told them that I'd probably take the labor to small Claims. I waited an additional 2 weeks and said I'd like to drop it off and get my money back. Then they said, no we won't cause you threatened legal action...... but then called back and said they would only refund the money I paid to purchase. So I lost ~$900.00 plus all labor on a car that they knew had a lost title, not to mention reissuing two temp tags after the 60 day period. The car was as-is but was never told of the title issues. Had I have known that I would have never purchased the car. I will never recommend this dealership and hope they do not do this to other customers. They are frauds. read more

I like that I can schedule appointments online, in person, or over the phone. Over the years this location has become a little more popular, I guess, so yo do see the west and tear in the facility, but I do enjoy the freshly grind coffee from their coffee machine. The advisors are always welcoming and friendly. Check for coupons online as they do offer some additional savings. read more

Then the financing agent Chris had made my interest skyrocket the car was worth 30,000 with 33,600 miles on it but ended up making my interest 37,000 just as much as the miles do not let me put Chris on blast neither. Anyways I'm about 96,000 miles in to my car had it for two years motor goes out ohh since it's used I should got the extended warranty because the motor would be covered. So 7,000 dollars into the car when I'm already paying 600 a month for it and got the price down to 27,000 and I tried trade it in and they couldn't don't know why? There was an issue with the cost not being reflected correctly when I was checking out, however their Service Manager, Eric, was quick to get the issue fixed and make sure I was a happy customer. These days, you get one chance to make a lasting impression. Mine was not great with these guys. I found a new car that I was interested in and contacted them through email to give me their out-the-door price with no financing since I'd simply be stroking a check for it. I was contacted by three different people, for whatever reason. One was okay, but two of them (who I assume were "managers") had absolutely no email etiquette. There was no, "Thanks for contacting us." Or, "We're glad you contacted us...here's what we can do..." Nothing like that. Didn't even have the care to write their name in the email. I had to look at the email address. The only response was the MSRP and an "our price". When I got the "our price", I was pretty amazed at it coming in quite lower than the competitors in the area. I emailed back and wanted to ensure that the number was right for paying cash and that I'd like to see the window sticker. I get a response back saying, "It's at that price with Hyundai financing." What. Did they not understand that I was not interested in their financing? If you're not aware, the dealership makes more profit that way then any other way. Plus, they'll charge a $599 "document fee" which is crap. Do you really think it costs $599 to push a few keys and then batch process the buys for the day? They'll try to say that it's a "required" fee. Absolutely not. The only fees required are tax, title, and license. Sometimes I wonder if dealers "forget" that we have a more informed buyer these days. Don't find yourself getting caught into the rope-a-dope BS that dealerships like this try to pull. Tip: You can tell when you're working with a shady dealer when they say something like, "Okay. You win." No. The dealer ALWAYS wins or they wouldn't sell you the car. The only thing you can do is negotiate with something you can live with. Get an out-the-door price, then negotiate that "document fee" down from that price, get rid of the floor mats, cargo net, and other add-ons. You can buy MUCH better ones elsewhere at a fraction of the price. I got the exact same car for $1200 less and a $299 document fee at Billingsley Hyundai in Lawton where we had previously bought our 2020 Santa Fe. read more

I wish I could give negative stars! My parents ordered their new vehicle in March and were told they would be getting their brand new vehicle that this dealership had ordered for them by June. It ended up being delayed until August. My parents happened to drive by the dealership this evening. After 5 months of waiting for their vehicle and being told the vehicle would be ready by August 11th, the general manager sold the vehicle from underneath them at the beginning of this month. My parents already had the vin number for their new vehicle and the vehicle was already marked sold in my father's name. Gaylan who is a sales representative at this dealership didn't bother to call or tell my parents that the vehicle had been sold from underneath them at the beginning of the month. This is extremely snake like behavior and disgusting that the general manager would do this. The sales rep lack of transparency with my parents is not okay. I would think long and hard before purchasing any vehicle from this dealership. They don't care one bit and care more about a "sale" This dealership lacks integrity. read more

Do not buy a Hyundai!! Especially from Bob Howard Hyundai located at 613 W Interstate 240 Service Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73139. Purchase a Honda, they are manufactured better and run forever. First, Hyundai is known for having multiple manufacturer factory recalls. But what isn't made known is that they don't cover their manufacturer factory recalls after 150,000 miles. That is the customer's expense. I purchased a used Hyundai. After a few months of having it, I noticed that oil was leaking. I took it to Bob Howard Hyundai and spoke with Albert Johnson (A.J.). He admitted that it was a manufacturer issue but charged me over $500.00 to repair it and I still had the same issue. I took the vehicle back to him. He had me leave it overnight to do testing and he informed me that Hyundai was required to replace the motor. When I came back to get my vehicle, he informed me that because my card had over 150,000 miles, Hyundai wouldn't fix their manufacturer factory recall. I made a complaint to the Oklahoma Better Business Bureau. Richard Haag responded to my complaint, on behalf of Bob Howard Hyundai, and stated that they would replace my motor for free. I contacted the dealership to bring my car in for repairs and was informed by A.J. that they didn't say that they would repair my vehicle for free and that they don't know who Richard Haag was. Then, he accidentally, emailed me attempting to email Jeremy Cook and advised Jeremy, in the email, that he didn't provide me with his name, to protect Jeremy or hide any wrongdoing. I contacted Jeremy and he informed me that the Better Business Bureau made a mistake in typing the response and that they didn't mean to say that they would repair my motor for free and offered me to trade in my (paid for) vehicle and purchase another Hyundai, so I could be in the same predicament after 150,000 miles. I did some research and found out that Richard Haag is an Authorized contact for Bob Howard Hyundai since 2017, and that he is a liaison between Bob Howard Hyundai and the Better Business Bureau. Therefore, an agent that was acting on behalf of the company entered into a contractual agreement to repair my motor for free and breached the contract. Furthermore, the Better Business Bureau informed me that the responses aren't typed by them, at all, but what is written by each party, and provided me with a copy of what Richard Haag typed on behalf of Bob Howard Hyundai. These people are shady and crooks. Don't do business with them or purchase a Hyundai. Hondas run for life and are built better than a Hyundai. Hyundai's are cheaply built, and you can expect a repair after 150,000 miles, at your cost. read more

I'd give Nansy 5 stars, she's a very honest and caring sales person. Finance would be 0 stars. They have issues with communicating anything to the customer even when questions are being asked directly. It will take at least an hour or more to speak to them if they speak to you with an appointment. It's very disappoint. Worst interaction with management I've ever had. Called to ask a simple question and was basically called cheap, a liar and conning my way to get a free upgrade on the MyHyundai app. I didn't know it expired and was told it would be free for the lifetime of owning the car. Brian Becker was who I spoke with and yelled at me the entire call as well as calling me a liar. Couldn't believe I was spoken to like this. Never experienced a "manager" like this. At the end of the call, he hung up on me. I then called back to speak with Brian Becker to see if there was any paperwork that would state this policy. Brian never answered any questions. As I had him on speaker so my wife could witness this exchange, she tried to step in and resolve it as a 3rd party. Brian Becker then continued to yell at her and told her to "tell your husband to be quiet." In the end, we had to end the call/hang up because he wouldn't let us speak and wouldn't stop yelling at us. I hope to God that this conversation was recorded as well but I doubt it was. Idk who they are promoting over there but stay away from this place. Luckily, their corporate office for complaints is opened on Saturday's. read more

We came into Bob Howard Hyundai looking for a new car. We had previously looked online and found a couple that were in our price range. We called beforehand to make sure they had the cars in stock before driving down from Edmond, and that the online prices were correct. They confirmed both of these. We had a very strict budget, and told the salesman that first thing when we got there. There was one car that we looked at and wanted to get. We verbally agreed on the price, and even wrote it down and signed the paper to agree on it. We then started the process to purchase the car by filling out the necessary paperwork. Several minutes after the initial paperwork was done, the salesman came back with a NEW price that was a few thousand more than the price that we had both verbally agreed to and had signed on as well. There were two reasons that they had for this new price. First, there is a docking fee. Which this is understandable because all dealerships charge this and it is pretty minimal. But the additional fee that they were trying to charge us was for some "special wax to protect the paint from the heat" and was not optional. We then proceeded to leave because now the car was out of our budget and then found out that they had already RAN OUR CREDIT. This was very infuriating because we had already agreed on a price but then they went and increased it without informing us of this before running our credit. If I am ever in the market for a new car again, I will not be coming to this dealership. read more

They are very helpful. Clean waiting area with beverages, staff that checks on you while waiting for repairs and they'll offer you a ride for long repairs so you don't have to wait in the lobby. Great customer service and repair service. read more

i paid $3000 for a prepaid maintenance package they pushed me to include with my purchase but now that I need to use it they refuse to honor it and come up with excuses on why they can't. Will never buy another car from Bob Howard read more

During a test drive I asked if the tires were good on a used Frontier Truck. Instead of a yes or no answer, the salesman gaslighted me. He said by Oklahoma Law, tires had to be at least 60%. So I have been researching cars. I own a Hyundai and was going to buy another one but smaller this time. Prices @BobHowardHyundai were amazing. But when I asked what the propack ($1593 added fee for nitrogen in tires, window tint, and floor mats - definitely not a good value for that added price) the sales person offered to take the fee off but mark the car up 6000 over the advertised price back to MSRP. When I disagreed with that option his answer was "Well you don't have to buy the car." And you know what....he was right. I bought a Kia.
