Prepaid a year of service and was assured that my periodic mosquito treatments would not be paid out of pre paid balance for pest control. Service ended 4 mos ago and I received a bill for my "quarterly" pest control service(!) After multiple attempts to get clarification, while being told repeatedly that prepaid pest service would not have been used to pay for mosquito service it was confirmed - it was. They need some serious accounting help for their books. the bill I received is demanding payment for the prepaid quarterly service- which they confirmed was paid but is really for a mosquito treatment received almost a year ago... read more

We've been using Jenkins Pest Control for over three years and I must say that we've been happy with their service. We're on a service contract with them which means they come to our house every three months to exterminate inside and out. All was well until about 2 years ago when we started experiencing ants in our house. Bob Jenkins has been very responsive with our exterminating needs. They've baited and sprayed but unfortunately, ants have shown up every few months. In spite of this, they've patiently explained what we had to do and exterminated as needed. I must also mention that our neighbors have been experiencing the same issues. I'm spite of these on going issues, Bob Jenkins is a company I'd recommend because of their response time. Majority of their exterminators have been very cordial and have made it a point to "school" us. One thing I'd like to add, I'll be using Bob Jenkins to exterminate my yard for mosquitoes. Keeping my fingers crossed that we get to enjoy our backyard after these blood suckers are dealt with! read more

Canceled with TruGreen because they were a complete nightmare and came over to Bob Jenkins! Wow! They are literally amazing. To begin, they answer the phone every time a call. Like a literal human. Not a machine with a 3-4 hour call back time, like TruGreen had! Before I began service, they sent out a specialist to my house to view my lawn, give a price and then make a detailed plan on how to bring it back to life. He advised for 2 treatments. And said he would be back to view the lawn again. I have to admit, I didn't think he would really show up again...but he sure did!! And by then the lawn was already looking 1,000 times better than before! 3-4 easy months later & I have my lawn back in tip top shape! read more

we have used Bob Jenkins Pest Control for years, so when I found a pile of sawdust by a door leading to the backyard, I called them for help with carpenter ants. I thought the problem was in the frame, but very few ants came out when it was fogged. Mark noticed that the door knob was loose, so he sprayed in the door, and it was like an Alfred Hitchcock movie! The ants began to spill out of the door. They came from the door knob, the doggie-door opening, and every other seam they could find. it was both horrifying and satisfying. Sometimes with a pest control service, the proof is not evident unless your neighbors start having more bugs , but he definitely found the mother lode, and I got to see it! My husband noticed that parts of our lawn were turning yellow and starting to die, so he gave Bob Jenkins a call to come check it out. They did an initial inspection to identify the issue and determined we had root rot. They recommended that we have two anti fungus treatments applied. Our lawn since then has been looking much better and is starting to recover! Everyone we worked with throughout the process was super friendly and made sure to answer all of our questions. We really appreciated that they followed up with us after all of the treatments to make sure that our lawn was looking better. They also offer pest control services, which we may consider since we had such a great experience working with them. read more

We hired them to eliminate a skunk problem. Rather than diagnosing the issue and figuring out we had a whole family they captured a juvenile skunk and went on their way and sent a bill. The very next morning we saw another skunk. Thankfully our neighbor was a saint and helped us trap the rest. Waste of money with Jenkin's. read more

I called Bob Jenkins for a one-time mosquito treatment before a backyard party. The person on the phone was very helpful. He was open about the contents of what's being sprayed. The technician who came out was also very professional and on time. I only gave 4/5 stars (really a 4.5) because there were still a few mosquitos 10 days after the treatment, however, that is to be expected with a one-time treatment. This was made very clear to me over the phone before I hired Bob Jenkins. I do plan to hire them for follow up treatments for the rest of the summer. I will update this review depending on results of future treatments. read more

Bob Jenkins has been helpful with roach control, but completely unreliable with scheduling. The technician was over an hour late for a 7 AM appointment, then the following week was early. Then 10 days after treating my home for pests there was a green blow fly infestation, followed by a flesh fly infestation. When I called for emergency service the scheduler said the soonest appointment was a week from Tuesday, then found an end of day appointment 3 days out. I scheduled it for 5 PM today. I have been spraying off the shelf products for 3 days, I have killed well over 200 flies in my house with a battery flyswatter, waited patiently and the tech is a NO SHOW today. Are you kidding me?!?! I am furious. If you're not going to show up, don't schedule the appointment at all, okay?! read more

Well, if you like to have to baby sit to ensure a job is done then this is the place for you. Been doing mosquito treatment, which went well when I was home to babysit their work. The times I was not there, it was like they were not either. Same day lawns treated and walk out few hours later, basically eaten alive by mosquitoes. Called and the manager "Jim" said if there were any standing water in your neighborhood then can't do anything about it, which is basically saying you are wasting your time, your money, and they could care less. I had better results using my fogger purchased from Home Depot. Thought would try something different since they were "professionals" in this area. Based upon their results, guess I can say I am also a "professional." If you like baby-sitting, then you are in good hands. Service nowadays is just awful. This is just another example. Last night I called after hours and left a message that I had caught a bug in a jar (and squished a bunch more just like it) and was worried we had termites. Then I asked them to call me in the morning to see what to do next. Not 10 minutes later, I received a text from Gabriel asking me to take a picture and send it to him so that he could take a look. What great customer service! In the end, he assured me they weren't termites and then I could rest easy. They are coming out to treat us for the dreaded carpenter ants next week. Unrelated story, years ago I had a flat tire at a gas station and was working on changing the tire. The first truck that saw me pulled over and the driver asked me if he could help me. This company is awesome with amazing employees. They are quite diligent in scheduling our quarterly pest control visit and are very accommodating with time and day. I love that I do not have to remember when it is time. Our regular guy is NOEL and he is so personable and still very thorough. He has been coming here so long that he has witnessed a variety of family chaos and changes in family dynamics. I actually enjoy his visit and appreciate his knowledge of our needs. We have gone from a family of 5 to 6, to back to 2- and he has been here for it all. He knows what animals we have and notices the differences so that he can exterminate accordingly. I have used Bob Jenkins for three years for quarterly service. They have one of my credit card numbers and charge my credit card whenever they perform a quarterly service. Recently I had a problem with honey bees, and the technician would not solve my bee problem unless I signed a separate contract. I told him that I had a credit card on file and did not know why Bob Jenkins did not trust its longtime customers. All I could get out of the technician was he just worked there. I called a supervisor who said it was company policy, but could not tell me why. He said it was not a contract, but an agreement. Same difference. Right after we bought our current house, we had Bob Jenkins Pest and Lawn come out to treat around our house for bugs/spiders before we moved in (Back in late August) - the property (especially the yard) was in a state of poor care and we had a TON of ants that clearly wanted to get into the house that were all over the siding/foundation. They were very generous in their treatment and even with all the rain several months later, we have had no crazy increase in bug activity around the main part of the house. I didn't want the whole yard bombed (because ecosystems are important), I just didn't want acrobat ants IN my house, and their organic/organic based treatment was well priced and has achieved that goal (and no harsh chemical smells/lingering effects). Once we are ready to Xeriscape/do more intensive landscaping I plan to contact them for estimates as one of the first companies we bring out for consulting. read more

We hired this company to spray for mosquitoes and also used them for quarterly pest control. I was told the mosquito technician would come out once per month and then if we saw mosquitoes, the technician would come out again and respray. In June the technician came out and performed his monthly spray. Afterwards, we were still unable to go outside as we were being malled by mosquitoes. I called for a respray two weeks later. The technician came out and his fogger was not working and he did not do a good job spraying.. This was on a Friday. I called the following Mon or Tues to have someone with a properly working fogger come out and respray. The friendly lady that answered the phone said i would be charged because it was too close to my next spray date. When i told her the technician was only here two weeks ago and that my next spray date was in two weeks, she asked me to hold and a man came on the phone. This man said, you will be charged again because that is what my computer is telling me to do and there is nothing i can do about it. Being that I am the costumer, it would have been nice for him to ask me if it was alright with me to change the circumstances of our contract, which was: $110 per month for mosquito spraying. For the past few months i went back in my calendar and realized they had started increasing their billing period from every four weeks to every three weeks without telling me. If i asked for a respray, i got charged. It would have been nice for someone to tell me about the new billing cycle. I have a budget and I stick to it. When i explained this to the man, he was so rude to me. He was unprofessional, which is so sad because everyone else has always been very nice to me. Because of his lack of professionalism and disregard for the companies initial policy, i have switched companies and am happily giving my money to them. You cannot tell someone you will be charging them x amount of dollars per month and then go and change it on them without first asking the customer. This is a basic rule of business. Because of this man, i also canceled my quarterly pest control as well. read more

Negative O is my rating on June 26, 2017. We looked for a locally owned small company because we wanted to support that type of business. We chose this company when Bob Jenkins was it and stayed with it until they could not control rats. One of the earlier employees was a man who spent a good deal of his time telling us his family problems. When I told Bob this he told me the employee had many problems and that I was a counselor and should provide the employee counseling. When I told him we were paying for services not to give services. His response was to ask me if I was a Christian. We had rats and mice almost from the beginning. We had to kill one in the room connecting the garage to the house. We found rats in the garage. It was not just rats and mice. We had flying bugs in the dining room. The man who then was working for Jenkins had no solution; just more spraying around the baseboard. We called in another company and asked what they thought about the flying bugs. The man who came out pointed to the top of the bookcase and asked what was there. It was Indian dried corn. We got rid of it and this ended the problem. I write this in order to point out the type of issues we had with Jenkins. Most recently we could smell something in the garage and the then service man from Jenkins put a poison bit box in the garage. This seemed odd to us because we wondered if a rat ate the poison and crawled into the wall of the garage we would have more dead rats hidden and smelling. At this point we called in another company and asked for an assessment. The man who came told us the type of rat bait the Jenkins employee put into the garage is clearly marked as not for use inside a building. The Jenkins employees had rat bait boxes all over the yard-seven of them. The company we called in told us that there were specific instructions about how many boxes to use and Jenkins was using five too many. So much for Jenkins Pest Control training. The new company set traps and killed the rats and set up bait outside the garage near the door. No more rat problem. We recently went through our garage and found a Mexican rug and other items of furniture the rats had chewed upon. We called Jenkins and spoke to the manager and explained the problems we had been having. Did he sympathize with us? Ha. He said we were insulting to his company and to find another company. So much for Customer Relations. Beware of this company and its ill-trained employees. John H read more
