I was first contacted through email on 08/12 after I contacted them through their website. They replied to me repeatedly that day regarding all of my questions for pest control. Then they stopped replying until their next email on 08/14. I replied again with another question on 08/14. I was ignored after that. On 08/22 I sent a follow up email with the same question from 08/14. They replied on 08/26. I replied again on 08/26 trying to schedule their first appointment with me. And they didn't reply. I got so tired of this, not worth being repeatedly ignored. I contacted another company right after that. And I got all of my questions answered within a day, and have my first appointment with the new company for this weekend. This is our second time trusting Family Pest Control and we were once again reminded why they are the go to company in our area!! We called Tuesday and had an appointment by Friday, they were flexible with our work schedule and came by as late as they could and didn't rush at all. Our service was done by Sheryl and Tre, both super friendly, attentive, and professional. We are still fairly new to texas so they took the time to explain all of the different insects, rodents, pests, etc. that we might encounter and how to pick the best service for us. They were respectful of our belongings, allowed us to move our shoes and what not rather than just going around once like these major companies do. 10/10 service and it's great knowing that if you're not 100% satisfied or feel like there's still an issue in your home, they'll come back out and make it right. I have been with this company almost six years I think, and I will say I have really loved them. However, I just had my third baby and have been very slow to get back into the swing of things. I missed one quarter of service and they are increasing my price by like $45. I know to some people that may not be much, but it is the principle of the thing. They would rather lose my business than understand I had a major life event. Again, almost 6 years of quarterly service history and one quarter missed because of a life event, they increase my monthly price. Did not have a chance to work with this team officially but had a site visit that was productive. Regardless, haven't received a quote for services after about 7-10 days. What's worse is that the technician informed me that there were very few entry point for rodents/squirrels. Today we found our (rather large) cat trapped in the attic space. AMAZING experience!! My neighbors recommended them, they came out were on time and extremely professional. I had roaches activity and after they came out the first time it for sure decreased atleast a good 70% and then i called them back after a week they sent out another tech who reserviced the whole home again which decreased the activity to 90% so i called THIRD time and they still sent another technician who reserviced the whole home again free of charge again and now i have no activity..this is what i call COSTCO style customer service..for sure continuing my service moving forward. I am happy with the service I received from Family Pest Control. Ruben initially came to my house in order to do a one time spray and dust. Satisfied, I requested for Family Pest to come back and place door sweeps to protect from outside pests since I live near a green belt. Ray came and put a door sweep in my garage and back for, as well as sealed other entry points around my house. I am satisfied with the work and would definitely recommend. We have nuisance ants regularly coming into the house, but most pesticides sold at stores I visited were not pet- or child-friendly. Fortunately, Family Pest Control was there to help. Upon requesting assistance, they were quick to get in touch with me, and their prices were fair for the amount of house covered. When they arrived (I think) the next day, our technician was friendly and wore boot covers and a mask. I appreciated seeing that. He sprayed an eco-friendly spray around the baseboards in all rooms; garage; attic; exterior wall; and finally spread dry granules in the yard which are useful for when it rains. While we still do have ants (you can never fully get rid of them), we have seen a significant decrease inside the house, and the ones outside stick to areas further away from the exterior wall. I haven't asked for a repeat service yet, but plan to. read more

Used to really like this place. We used to get traps(about $299) for the attic then pay an additional fee (about $85) to clean and reset traps. We've also got them to spray the yard for mosquitos, bait the outside stations, fix openings to prevent rodents from entering the attic. We've used this company a lot, but they seemed to change things now. We called and said we wanted them to put traps in the attic, but the first visit is about $37 and it's just them checking. They didn't put the traps. Then we got sent a quote for over $1,700 and it mentions not setting the traps till the second or third visit. Not, sure why they changed things, but it was better the way it used to be where we would call and say we wanted traps and they would come and install the traps and not just inspect then send a high quote. read more

We needed a few wasp nests removed near our roof. Family Pest Control quickly responded to my quote request on Yelp. I gave the representative my information and some info about my house and they quickly gave me a quote. There was no need for a phone call or a lengthy exchange which was such a bonus for me. It was so easy to find an appointment that worked with my schedule. Prior to my appointment, I received a text from the company. In addition, I got a call to let me know the technician will arrive in 15 minutes. The technician was friendly and answered all my questions. He removed all the wasp nests and sprayed for prevention. The whole experience took no more than 15 minutes. I paid $95 plus tax and that was one of the lower rates for such good service. They have a 30 day guarantee if wasps renest after they spray. This company came out to inspect for rodents while I was not home. Gave me a $1300 quote to exterminate rats in attic/patch up holes. Had another company come out two days later and they found zero activity of any rodents. False report, over priced, and not trust worthy. Would not recommend. read more

I guess there's a disconnect between the field guys and the office. I wanted to start off with a specific treatment and then have continuous service. I was quoted one price and when the representative got there the price went up. I wasn't told I should clear my cabinets out for the first treatment but I did for the second one. Nothing was clearly explained to me I had to proactively ask questions and that still didn't help. I was told they would leave some traps and they never did. Even reading the report the representative said he sprayed the attic which he did not. The second time around the representative didn't spray all rooms like the first guy and still no traps. While they were both really nice they seriously lacked performing the actual job. I'm pretty upset and feeling scammed. read more

I had Family Pest Control treat my home just before the Holidays and the treatment failed to achieve the control we anticipated. I began to observe more and more roaches over the last several weeks and called to share the problem with the person I spoke to by phone. I was told that they could schedule another $85 treatment and I offered to pay half, because I did not feel the first treatment was sufficient. This is the answer I was given - "We do not guarantee our treatments". I responded by saying that I would look for another company that did guarantee their treatment and was given a "that's fine sir". This is THE best pest control company we have ever used! While we were living in San Antonio we scheduled them for quarterly services at our rental. The first time they sprayed the interior of the house three cockroaches came out and died!! Eeww! We didn't even know we had any. They were very thorough looking for and spraying for spiders. We also had them treat for ants and mosquitoes. The ant treatment was a one time treatment and I didn't see one ant on our property for an entire year!! (we had crazy ants everywhere before the treatment) And the mosquito treatment lasted an entire month! We only had to spray for 2 or three months during the year, and it was worth it! I didn't have to spray myself or my son when we went to play in our backyard daily which was SO nice! If we walked the neighborhood we saw crazy ants everywhere and got bit by mosquitoes... but our property seemed to have an invisible barrier that they couldn't cross... it was wonderful! My husband and I have lived several other states and I always compare other companies we've used to them... they are my standard! And I can't say anyone has ever come close to pleasing me as much!! They were so sweet to work with, reasonably priced, and had results like no other!! If you live in the San Antonio, TX area... you need to use this company!
