I have also been disappointed in many big budget games like Red Redemption 2, Spiderman Miles Morales, and most recently Horizon Forbidden West. I've been going back to my classics like Halo Master Chief Collection. Did a trade-in of Horizon and was able to get store credit to buy Ghost of Tsushima online. Fast, courteous service. Didn't try to sell me on a membership much. Not many brick and mortar stores left so nice to have this option still.

As we entered the store the very first thing the person behind the counter said was "I just want you to know, I'm closing soon." What an awesome way to greet people coming in the store. Normally if you come in the store and it is before closing hours you are welcome to find and make your purchase. Has been that way for as long as I can remember. Not here. GameStop is a dying franchise, we all know this. This store in particular is always dead and it has less stock than most. I was ready to turn around and walk out because I just thought it was a crap way to welcome someone to the store who is going to spend money. Instead I let the girls look and I walked outside to wait for them. Mentioned once I left the store how they could hear me. No kidding, I was talking loud so you would hear me, the point was you don't greet people with get out of my store (not exactly what they said but it was close enough.) Another gentleman walked in and right back out after they gave him the same greeting. Then my kids and my wife came out saying well just buy it online. We have been doing this same thing for their birthday for years. They knew what they were getting or at least had a good idea. They had 15 minutes to do so but your employee made everyone feel unwelcome so you lost 4 sales in total in the last 5 minutes of the day. On top of that, your employees closed up the store almost 10 minutes early. Got the pictures to show for it. GameStop, just like physical media, is on its last leg it looks like. Such a shame.

He recommended other repair stores but why have a support area if you won't even bother trying to diagnose an issue much less fix it? No pricing on any packaging was also weird but they do have a website that's mostly usable. Cashiers can also check prices and stock for you. I ended up buying a few games just so I didn't go out there for nothing but was pretty disappointed based on the services offered on the website. We came here to get our Switch's charging port repaired. They were super friendly and much more affordable than other bigger franchises doing repairs in the area. There is a shortage of repair techs in the area, we were quoted a month for the repair which was the same as the other shops. Regardless, our repair was completed and at least 30% cheaper than the competitors. The shop is huge and had so much fun merch, my sons and husband were loving exploring their huge selection of games, while I was checking out their kawaii hello kitty plushies and caps. I recently visited Arcana's Video Games Store after driving a considerable distance through heavy…read moretraffic because of the positive reviews I had read and the information on their website indicating that they accept trade-ins and support multiple video game platforms. The website even displays logos for the major gaming companies, which gave me confidence that my items would be considered. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I brought two Xbox systems to trade in: an Xbox One X White Special Edition and an Xbox One S with a 1TB hard drive. After arriving, the employee informed me that they were no longer accepting Xbox trade-ins because Xbox products were "not selling well." He also mentioned that I should have called ahead first. This was surprising, as there was no indication of this policy change on their website, which clearly indicate that trade-ins are accepted and it was the main reasons I made the long trip to the store. During the interaction, I also noticed an Xbox One console for sale in the store. When I mentioned this, the employee explained that it was a special edition. I responded that, given the price it was listed at, it might be difficult to sell. Additionally, after briefly inspecting my systems, the employee incorrectly stated that my Xbox One X was a digital edition. I had to point out that it clearly has a disc drive and is in fact the white special edition model. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially after explaining that I had driven a long distance specifically because the store advertised trade-ins. If the store has changed its trade-in policies, it would be very helpful to update that information online so customers do not waste their time making unnecessary trips. This was my first experience with Arcana's, and unfortunately it will likely be my last.

Being that I love 25 miles away I came back to the store 2 weeks later.. the manager said they "recycled them" and basically I was shit out of luck..
