I had no idea this place existed in Herndon until after I decided to pick up my AwesomeCon badge. It's a tiny place but has a lot of anime-related stuff on the first floor and Warhammer, Gundam, Pokémon cards on the second floor. I think the first floor is designed for girls and the second floor for guys. You can also buy paint for your Warhammer figures here. The staff on both floors were friendly and helpful, and easy to talk to. The prices are neither expensive nor cheap. It's on par with other shops in the DMV. The place is kind of small, and the stuff they have is limited. However, I don't think I should dock one star for that, given it's a small business. There isn't much else I can write about because the pictures will give you a better idea. Go check the pics!

Met them at the Hypefoodies Festival and they were so cordial and helpful that I purchased my first Labubu from them! I started following their IG (@senpaiscornerca) for updates on releases and now I've patronized them so much that they know/recognize me! The customer service is superb and their pricing is not crazy like some other retailers post, esp for labubus. I now owne smiskis, labubus, and other items that I've grown an interest for since discovering this shop! I drive nearly an hour just to shop there and I'm always happy when it's time to head back home! I get so many questions about my labubu and I immediately tell people where I got them from and share their IG. They are ao worth the drive to visit! They have game nights, tons of releases, and so many other things to fancy this realm of collection items! I can't wait to bring my niece and nephew when they visit bc they are huge anime fans! I even got their first labubus from here! The store has upstairs and downstairs but it is a tight squeeze on the first floor. That's no problem bc the type of crowd that they attract is always friendly and never rude. Parking is on the street in the front and some more in the back. This will now be my only go-to spot for all of my collections!

I absolutely love coming here -- it's honestly one of my favorite spots! Every time they host an event, it's super organized and well put together, which makes the whole experience even better. I mainly visit for the Sonny Angels (they're my favorite!), and while I do wish they could keep them in stock more often, I understand how popular they are -- everyone loves them just as much as I do! What really keeps me coming back, though, is the customer service. The staff is always so kind and welcoming. They greet me every time I walk through the door, and it really creates such a warm and happy vibe. You can tell they care about their customers and love what they do. It's always a joy to stop by, and I leave with a smile every time!

Senpai's corner has so many cute items on two floors, also attached to a vape shop. Super convenient for those in Herndon looking for kawaii items, blind boxes, manga or collectibles. My friends and I stopped by just to look at cute stuff and maybe some stationary, and we were pleasantly surprised at the variety of items that there was. Sanrio, Miffy, Pokemon, Smiski, One Piece, and a lot of otaku + weeb offerings too! They have anime playing on the screens and will also note for others to follow their social media for certain blind box drops such as Labubu and Smiskis. The staff were super nice and helpful, and they even held the stickers up front for me while I shopped since I was worried I would drop them. Stickers here (individual ones) are well priced at $1 each. There's also fairly good market values for their trading cards, manga and more. Stop by if you like cute things or Japanese things!

The BEST service. Lots of selection when it comes to cute Kawaii items from Asia, hate to admit (because I don't want to share haha) they have an amazing selection of Smiski and Sonny Angels since they are an authorized retailer and at good prices. They do their best to limit purchases so everyone has a chance to buy but people line up early for the new releases! Follow their IG @senpaiscornerva to find out about those and the meet ups because they are EPIC! There's absolutely no other store like it in NOVA!

Cute little shop for smiskis and sonny angels! But very cramped inside. The guy inside was nice enough to inform us of their trade events that we could follow on their instagram account!

    Dog series drop day!

I got my first ever Sonny Angels here! Theyre super limited in stock and I understand because the company doesn't send them much shipment but they're priced nearly at retail value which I'm happy about. One memorable experience was the Sonny Angel's meetup where they had vendors who sold/traded their Sonny Angels. I hope they host another one next year!

I don't know how I feel about this place quite yet. It definitely has all the things that I enjoy buying. But the customer service by one particular associate is lacking. I feel as though if I did not have to interact with this person than I would probably give the shop a higher rating.

    Store front! So cute

I recently went to Herndon & this place is so cute! They have everything and the staff is helpful! I will come back because they have swap-meets every couple of months and they have exclusives too. Great selection of items. Prices are okay they aren't the cheapest but not the most expensive for certain items. I think it's worth it if you're in the area!

I always go here to buy sonny angels as it is pretty local to around where my friends lives! Their sonny angels sell out quickly but i did pick up an animal hipper and bday cake angel this time!

I am also leaving this review so that others do not have my experience and are not mislead. I was looking around at different options for my daughter's joint 8th and 9th birthday party. Last year we had their party at mocatinas and it was so impressive. I was trying to find something that would be equally as good. I found the Conche chocolate and cake studio and was interested in their party package. I contacted them and even on their Yelp page they advertise pictures of the parties in a private studio. We thought that was really awesome and wanted to do their cake pop making party. At no point during my discussion with their employee did they disclose that this party would not be at their private studio. There were so many chances they had to let me know during our conversations. I finally was given a contract by them and quoted over $800 for the party. We were happy to pay that but during that conversation I realized that it was casually mentioned it would be held in a restaurant. I paused right there and carefully re read everything. I made sure to ask questions and confirmed that not only would the party not be held in their private studio that the owner advertised on this very Yelp page, it would be held at a completely different restaurant. Not even the conche restaurant and no private at all. I think it's incredibly sneaky to charge someone $800 and not give a full disclaimer that this would not be held at the advertised location. Also in my personal opinion it's greedy. I told their employee I cannot justify paying that amount for a children's birthday party held in the corner of a restaurant open to the public. When initially it was advertised as private and even showed pictures. I called them out and said you do know that you have a private studio advertised right? They tried to come up with an alternative solution to put the kids in a "cramped room". While still charging $800 lol. No thank you. We have booked somewhere else. This sort of situation turns me off from even eating at their other restaurant. It's a complete lack of general care. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else and I really hope people read this review so they are aware that children's birthday parties are held at a random corner of a rest and not the advertised private space on this page.

The customer service was spectacular by the owner and the people who worked there. They were all so kind and willing to help with every question we had. There was also so many items to pick from and you could also create your own pottery as well, they had classes for that. Definitely check them out via their social media or website and the prices weren't expensive. They also had classes for children and have a lot of options for groups.

Seating was rather limited, so I would go early or reserve a spot (which I believe you can do). There is a variety of colors to choose from and have samples to know how the paint will look when fired. Some people have already mentioned it, but I highly recommend doing multiple layers. Our mugs ended up streaky in some spots. The paint dries fairly quickly, so it wasn't too bad applying layers. There were a lot of pottery pieces to choose from. I wish there were more like basic pieces though to have a more blank canvas. The prices were reasonable for each piece! The prices were written on the bottom. The firing process took about a week. My boyfriend and I have been using our mugs almost every day and they have held up well! Paint on mine did chip on the side, but my boyfriend's mug has been completely fine.

NOTE: REVIEW IS FOR THEIR FROZEN CUSTARD ONLY!!!…read more We were a bit surprised to see a homemade frozen custard shop INSIDE a paint-your-own-pottery place lol. So we approached the front entrance with trepidation, not knowing what to expect when we stepped inside. But sure enough, just inside the front entrance was the custard counter. We arrived on a late Friday afternoon, walking over from The Sandwich Shop a few blocks down Church (same side of the street and walking right past Rita's (!!)) after having a late sammie lunch (also our first time at The Sandwich Shop - read my review). We had spotted Kiln & Custard as we drove past it to get to the sandwich place and made a mental note to save room to try their custard as a cap-off to lunch. What a great location! Walkable anywhere from old town Vienna and the downtown area (nothing is really that far), tucked away one block off busy Maple Ave, surprisingly lots of great FREE street parking (on Church) but also right there in their small shopping center parking lot so it's truly not a pain-in-the-butt to head over and not have to stress about where to park. The guy serving the custard was also tending to customers doing pottery painting (not many when we arrived) - dunno how service is if you just come in for the custard and the place is packed (we saw that pottery customers had to ask the guy each time they wanted more paint which he portioned out for them...vs customers self-serving their own paint and colors in other paint-your-own places we've been to - with a single worker, I can imagine that could be a bottleneck problem if the pottery side is busy AND there's a line of custard customers waiting to be served). The frozen custard is DEEEEELICIOUS. You can definitely see as it's being scooped AND TASTE that it's housemade. SOOOOO GOOOD. Very creamy, soft, pliable, rich custard flavor and not too sweet. They offer 12 flavors - see my pics of the 2 display cases of custards. PRICES IMO ARE VERY REASONABLE. $2.85 for a kid's size, GENEROUS HEAVY HANDED PORTIONS (and who doesn't love THAT in this economy?!). I had the Vanilla Oreo and my friend had the Nutella - a perfect after-lunch dessert treat. TREMENDOUS! For the price, generous portion sizes, quality of the custard combined with its easily accessible location in Vienna and no hassle parking options, this could for sure be a destination frozen-treat shop when I'm in the Vienna area (which is fairly regularly). That good! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this little hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop shop!!!
