I jokingly mentioned that the coffee there must be out of this world to risk being late. She confirmed it was and my curiosity was piqued. A Lafayette local husband and wife team opened this little unassuming coffee shop in fall of 2019, right before the pandemic. Business must've been doing well, as another location was opened in nearby Broussard not long after. Sadly, both locations were kind of out of the way for me to go by to try it out and it took me a little while to get over there. My aforementioned coworker kept showing up with their cute little jet logo cup, though, so it stayed on my mind. Well guys, I've since been to the Broussard location many times and will continue to go a bit out of my way to try everything on the menu. The cold brew coffee (so far my favorite item) is smooth and delicious and the employees are very helpful and enthusiastic. Coffee that's worth being late to work for? Look no further than Jet Coffee.

We like it or not, but we love good customer service. In my opinion, Jet coffee is great, but their customer service is even better. Most of the people that I have interacted with are college age and incredibly friendly. They sell their product easily with helpful suggestions. Personal conversations take place but not at the expense of customer interaction. Jet is doing something right and it's not just smooth sweet coffee drinks!

I don't know any details of how anything was made, but it was so perfect. I'm a chronic never finisher of coffee, but I had to slow myself down to keep from finishing it within a couple minutes. The cold foam wasn't sweetened, which worried me, but after swirling it all together, it was just the perfect latte. The syrups didn't have any of the ickyness you sometimes find (maybe they're house made? I didn't ask) and the cold foam made for the most perfect consistency. I'm no coffee purist, but if you like a yummy drink that I don't think was over the top sweet, this was an amazing order! The ice cream flavors were limited but very premium. Although they don't make their own ice cream in-house, they get it from the best place I can think of ordering ice cream from - Wisconsin. My daughter tried their orange sorbet with gummy bears and the swear, they were the best gummy bears I've ever tried. I went straight for my go-to, pistachio almond. When I tell you it's stood up to some of the best Italian creamery pistachio I've had in my home town of New Orleans, I'm not exaggerating. Creamy, rich ice cream with an abundance of pistachio. All I needed was one scoop. So amazing and flavorful. Being skeptical after my last botched experience getting a waffle cone at a major franchise dessert spot, I decided to get my ice cream in their signature waffle cone. Oh. My. Goodness. It's like a confection by itself. Delicately buttery, perfectly sweet and super crispy. I hear they even make waffle cone nachos?! Aside from having great dessert, the staff is friendly and they have a nice little sitting area, complete with a soda-shop type bar to sit. It's not a question of if I'll be back, but if I'll be able to pass it up when I'm in the vicinity. Delicious!
