After my second visit, earlier this month, I am never returning and am switching dentists immediately. I filled out an online form for Jeffries exactly a week before my appointment to provide them with my dental insurance. I was proactive by informing them of my dental insurance and providing ample time (a week) for them to review it in advance before my appointment, so - in the case it wasn't covered - they could informed me in advance. I even reached out via email prior to filling out the online form to ask for the best way to provide it to them - via photos of my card or via a form or what - and they directed me to the form on their site, which I filled out the next day. FYI, I never heard back from them at all after providing them my insurance information. This was filled out on the Sunday prior to my Saturday appointment, about 6 days later. They only just reviewed my dental insurance AFTER my routine teeth cleaning appointment and informed me then that they don't accept my coverage, so I was charged the full upfront price for the appointment. This is totally unfair. If I give you ample time to review my insurance information, quickly submit it via the means you requested, and never heard back between a week timeframe of it not being acceptable, it is your job as an business team to follow up with me accordingly. They, however, clearly didn't and just wanted my business and money.

I am a resident with a very tough schedule so I make my appointments 6 months in advance. My December 2019 appointment was rescheduled about a week before the date by a message left on my voicemail. As I was not able to make the new appointment time I called to reschedule but the secretary was unable to find me a suitable time despite giving her options of essentially any day in December and any Tuesday in February. As a fellow medical provider I think it is poor form to cancel on someone and not find an appropriate substitute. I am now going elsewhere that was able to find me a suitable appointment.

I have never, in my entire life, had as terrible an experience as I did at Dr. Parker's office. My visit for three cavity fillings began when Dr. Parker went to numb me up. When I told him I have a tolerance for dental anesthetics and generally need a bit more than most people, I was told it was psychosomatic. That was my first red flag...even if pain is only in one's head (and my dentist back home has told me I have this tolerance, it's not a new thing, it's been true since childhood), isn't the point to make the patient feel comfortable? He then proceeded to do one of the shots directly into a nerve in my cheek. (If you've never had this happen, the pain is BLINDING. I actually screamed.) When I had trouble opening my mouth (because he shot numbing agent DIRECTLY INTO A NERVE), instead of helping me gently ease it open, Dr. Parker stuck two fingers in my mouth and literally yanked. The fillings themselves turned out very good, and I've had no problems with them in the two months since they were done, but I was in misery the entire time, CLEARLY in pain and discomfort, and Dr. Parker never stopped, never once asked if I was okay, never bothered to add more anesthetic. Not once, in an hour of work. He clearly has no patience for patients themselves and doesn't care about anything except getting through his work. He also spent a good chunk of this visit belittling the female hygienist assisting him, and even took a break at one point in the middle of my work to go do an eval of another patient. The sheer unprofessionalism would have been enough to turn me off all by itself, even without the horrific way he did the work. I went home after that visit and sobbed. This has never happened to me before. I was supposed to go back after an upcoming root canal to have a crown done, and the thought gave me literal nightmares until I decided to find a new dentist instead. If you have a pain tolerance and don't care about bedside manner, Dr. Parker knows what he's about and is good at the actual dental side of things. If you have any anxiety about dentistry whatsoever, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The badly trained hygienist shoved the whole metal x ray holder in my mouth (the metal ring should be outside) for maybe a dozen x rays. I started screaming in pain and was even in tears. When the doctor came out she expressed no concern for my pain, just blaming my experience on my large tongue. It had never once been brought up before and it was a really crappy way to get around validating my pain. Later that day as I started having symptoms of a respiratory infection, I lost it. In addition to that agony and degradation, now I had to put everything on hold for nearly a week because of whatever nastiness was on that metal thing shoved to the back of my throat again and again, all while the "medical professional" blamed me for my large tongue. And I missed out on paid work I really needed. Dr Monahan hasn't responded to my other review or two emails. I will not contact her directly again but if she wants to apologize she can reach out to me. I am definitely going to report her and her practice and encourage others to do the same. No one should have to endure this.

THIS IS HIGHLY HIGHLY ILLEGAL. They did this while a girl, whose name is Emma, sat on the phone being condescending. Oblivious to the law or the gravity of the situation. They only released them after I filed a complaint. Do not allow medical professionals to withhold your medical information under any circumstances! This is why we have laws against this. STAY AWAY!

There wasn't a single question or concern that I brought up that he didn't make me feel at ease about. The girl at the front desk (Rena?) is super awesome about finding an appointment time that works with your schedule and working with you for a payment plan if you need it. She puts you at ease the minute you walking in the door and that makes her spectacular. I ended up needing a root canal, crown and some fillings. The root canal wasn't what I thought it would be like. I was so scared that it would hurt but Dr Bellios was very patient and made sure it didn't hurt at all. Every step of the way he was very kind and patient, even when some things just wouldn't get numb! I've Now completed my treatment plan and I couldn't be happier. If you are looking for a new dentist I highly recommend coming here. The whole staff is great and if you're afraid of the dentist, like I was, they'll fix that :)
