My temp uppers 2 days after surgery

To start with the staff is genuinely friendly and caring. The communication throughout the entire process. I have very severe anxiety and I've been activating yet dreading the implants. I thought for sure the pain was going to be unbearable. It was the least painful dental procedure Ive had. Individual extractions have caused more pain for me in the past. The staff is like family, and have been with me through the entire process ready to answer any questions and even listen to my fears. Unlike some other places I checked out, SHDA has been the most comforting, accommodating, and truly friendly staff. I couldn't recommend them more! My procedure went phenomenally. Everyone has been amazed by my progress and the results with even my temps in. This has changed my life, and I didn't even miss a day of work (I work from home).

Salesman.... crown's crack and fall out. Astronomic upcharge !!! Open multiple care credit accounts!!! My Bill's in 10,000 range. Not 1yr later I'm getting new crowns somewhere else. When my crown fell out over Thanksgiving/Christmas NO ONE COULD SEE ME TO RESET IT FOR 6 WEEK... DISGUSTING!! I HAVE PD ALL MY BILLS. And now I'm getting NEW Bill's from 1 yr ago... all this dental work was done 2019. Beware selling is the Only thing they do.. fake fake fake. I would give NEGATIVE IF I COULD

Dentist taking advantage of patients and robbing them blind.

Beware of the used car salesmen at this place. They will empty an old ladies retirement fund without blinking an eye. Need a filling? NO WAY! they want to put a crown on EVERYTHING! and a plus... While your numb on novocaine, dentist will knock out an old filling to speed up the crown process. AND THEY OVER ORDER XRAYS...

Didn't inform me that my insurance was out of network. Got a bill for hundreds in the mail. Ask first. They don't.

My husband originally found this place, and now our whole family comes here! I recently had my very first cleaning, and I can honestly say I've never walked into a place where everyone is genuinely happy. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles, bubbly personalities, and such a welcoming environment. You can truly feel the positive energy throughout the entire office. Dr. Frank has an amazing team and really knows his stuff. Lindsay is truly a light in this place -- she brings so much energy and is so much fun! Amy at the front desk is always smiling and incredibly helpful with scheduling, along with Bethany and Lauren. Haille, Sophia, and Candice have also been an absolute pleasure to be around. Everything feels so easy, comfortable, and natural. There's such a great flow between everyone, and it makes a huge difference when you're already nervous about being at the dentist. And Haille... she definitely has a special touch. I am never relaxed at a dentist's office, but somehow she had me feeling so comfortable and relaxed that halfway through my cleaning, I actually fell asleep! That says EVERYTHING. Thank you to the entire team for creating a place that feels welcoming, safe, and genuinely enjoyable to be in. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm actually looking forward to going back to the dentist! If you're looking for a new dentist and feeling nervous or unsure, give this team a chance. You won't regret it!

Two teeth lost at age 20. Five days after their work. READ THIS…read more September 18, 2024: My daughter had her final crown completed here. September 23, 2024: She was in emergency surgery. Two abscesses. Both on teeth they treated. She lost tooth number thirty immediately. The second tooth followed in July 2025. Five days from their dental chair to an operating table. Two permanent teeth gone at twenty years old. Her treating periodontist wrote that their root canals were "done poorly." That is not my opinion. That is a medical professional's documented statement. We provided everything to their insurance company. Timeline. Medical records. Expert opinion. They denied our claim anyway. So now I am making this public. Other families researching Complete Dental Care deserve to know what happened to my daughter. We are pursuing legal action, and we will not stop until there is accountability. My daughter will live with this for the rest of her life. Two missing teeth. Years of procedures ahead. Psychological trauma from emergency surgery that should never have happened. If you value your family's safety, go somewhere else. This is not a place I would trust again, and I cannot recommend you do either.

Upon just starting Dr. Crandall's services & being given an apparatus to wear (at night only) to restructure my jaw-line, it fell apart and I awoke to two pieces of plastic in my mouth as opposed to the 'one piece' I started with. It was unsettling to say the least, as one part was as small as a lump of sugar and could have been swallowed easily. When I spoke to Dr. Crandall about my concern, his response was, " Well, I've been using this apparatus for over 20 years and no one has swallowed one yet." He showed little to no concern, just an enormous 'defense' to this uncomfortably frail piece of plastic he used. He truly couldn't have been any ruder. I was informed by their staff that this has happened with other patients, but "no one swallowed one". This was about as comforting as "broken glass". The admin was quite empathic, but couldn't go much further than the 'truth'. We were appreciative of their support, but want to let people know that when a medical professional 'backs out the back door' when there is a significant problem ... 'move on'.

(If you get cold sores and have never tried this, it works like nothing else ever will! And it's only $80--about $6 for every day you won't have that cold sore now). However, very few dentists offer this treatment in the Pittsburgh area, and being a new patient, I knew it would be hard to get in for a last minute appt. After trying to get in with Dr. Barber, who I found through a google search, a staff member recommended Dr. Crandall, stating that he was also innovative and might offer the treatment. And yes, he does! Dr. Crandall's staff was awesome! The woman answering the phone, Babs, was incredibly helpful and got me in ASAP. She even called back to tell me there had been a cancellation if I wanted to come even earlier. I was so grateful as the treatment is not as effective after the sore has swelled (about 12-18 hours). I haven't gone here regularly, but the treatment I received as a new and demanding client (demanding in that I needed an appt that day ASAP) was fabulous. If I decide to stay in Pittsburgh, I will be making Dr. Crandall my dentist!
