Update...Beware! This guy is a fraud! He kept asking for money I gave it and he left me high and dry. He didn't finished 80% of the job. I paid him $3800.00 because I trusted the guy. Not a man of his word. This was a signed contract. I sued him in court and won the case. My attorney says if we don't hear back from him soon we are going back to court. read more

So first of all, I chose Bobby based on the fact that he seemed like an honest man and he had a lot of photos/reviews on his Yelp page. He wasn't even the cheapest option or quote and was on par in pricing with a bigger company (who I should have hired). Needless to say my driveway didn't turn out quite like I expected. Please read below.. 1. He laid the concrete on top of the existing dirt without grading out or embedding the concrete. I feel like this was pure laziness. So now anytime I need to turn around and overshoot the driveway or parking pad my car falls off of the concrete. He tells me he did this because the driveway would have been steeper. Which doesn't make any sense because if he knew what he was doing he could have resolved some of the slope by doing some grading. 3. The surface is extremely uneven and rough. I might as well have a gravel driveway. He said the texture is for traction(we originally agreed on a rough broom finish). After speaking to a few people it seems that he didn't have enough men to work the concrete and smooth it out before it started drying up. This is partly due to the fact that it is on a steep incline, which he knew beforehand as he came and gave me a quote in person. 4. He shorted me on the amount of concrete used. So after getting other quotes I was told the price of the concrete alone was going to be anywhere from 4400-4800 dollars. Total price with labor 8000 dollars. Well, my driveway was shorter than we agreed upon and the total price of the concrete bobby used was right under 4000 dollars. This tells me that he used less concrete to line his own pockets with more money. When I show up he tells me this is all the concrete I purchased.. He was the one putting in the order and calling the company so he was responsible for how much was used. In my opinion he needs to honor our agreement on where the driveway was supposed to end. So after all of this I contact Bobby to give him a chance to resolve some of my issues and tell him that the driveway is too rough and if he could come smooth it out somehow. He says you're my customer I want to make you happy, blah blah and says he's coming out on Wednesday. Well, Wednesday rolls around and he never shows. I contact him again and he says he doesn't want to lay anything down and it get rained on, which I can't remember if it rained that day or not but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. So then he says he's coming next week. I contact him on the following Wednesday to ask/remind him if he's still coming out this week. He tells me he's coming Saturday because he will be out of town for a funeral Friday. Saturday rolls around. No show. I message him Sunday and ask him what happened to coming out Saturday and he has yet to respond. Just please beware when choosing Bobby to do any work for you. I think he can do basic things if the land is flat but if it gets any more complex than that I would be weary of asking him to do the job. I would add pics to this post but it is not letting me.
