Discussed with the owner exactly what I wanted. He showed me pictures of other work that from a distance looked okay. But they were unprepared for the job. Waited too long to finish cement so it set up with boot prints, dips and waves. My saw horses, cabinets, and tables all wobble. What a joke. Did not have proper screed bars and too few workers. On the exterior pad, the center of a 28' square area is 1 inch lower than the edges. Fills like a pond after rain. Exactly what I DIDN'T want. I'll never use these amateurs again. read more

Ramirez installed sod and mulch in our front and back yard they laid 6,500 sq ft. of sod in total. They dug and installed several hundred ft of 6" pipes for our drainage situations all the way to our lake in back. Ramirez also, cut down an removed a Huge water oak tree from our front yard and placed river rock around our pool. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use their services again in the future. read more

I had Ramirez Landscaping remove a bad section of sidewalk and replace it with sod. The completed project was top notch and looked like the sidewalk was never there. They did a good job cleaning up the debris and left my yard in great shape. They go the extra mile to make sure the customer is happy with their work. Jose was very quick with a response to my inquiry for project quotes and was very easy to talk to. Jose's estimate was very fair. Had my porch flooring (8'x30') replaced by a two man crew and they did a great job, even worked through a small storm and completed everything in one trip. Tree removal. Destroyed my roof. Impaled the roof twice that resulted in extensive damage and costly repair. Broke 3 sections of curved sidewalk with heavy machinery. Promised to return and repair. He is a liar. Has not returned for over a month. The entire project was a disaster of incompetence. read more

Jose and his team made our yard look so much better. They regraded, added drainage, and sodded my yard. They also added a gravel sidewalk and a large raised patio connected to our deck. It had poured lately, and the drainage is working good. No more puddles and mud pits! Some reviewers mentioned they had sod that died. Sorry, but that's on you. Sod needs to be watered daily, and if you don't it will die. It's not magic. If you're going to review sod installation, focus on the quality of install not if the sod (who they didn't grow) died because you didn't water it. All in all, I think Jose offers great value for the money and quality work. Just make sure you are clear as to what you want, as there is a slight language barrier. read more

Jose and his crew did a wonderful job on our lawn. We had a large retaining wall, and a smaller, retaining wall installed, and a slope that had to be secured with riprap. He trave from Hendersonville to spruce pine; not an easy trip. He was very willing to listen to my thoughts and bring to life what we wanted. The guys worked long hours and it was hard work. Mr.Ramirez redid my backyard. He added a flower garden and 2 raised beds. Since the irrigation people were here in the fall, they tore up most of my grass. His team laid down some sod, about a 1/2 a yard worth and the rest that still had some grass he added, skimpy amount of seed and hay over it. It has been a while now and the sod is not taking!!! Wanted to provide some corrections ... #1 I have no idea why its showing that I'm in California ... We had this work done in Flat Rock NC to be clear. Also, not sure why its showing my review twice. In either case, wanted to correct those two things. We hired Ramirez Lawn and Landscaping to perform some extensive repairs to our 40 year old asphalt driveway. We have a pretty sizeable driveway (half circle with a side drive to our garage, around 3000 sqf) that had major potholes and complete areas of crumble due to age and lack of maintenance. They replaced multiple large areas including cutting out a very large root out that had created a large "speed bump" in part of the drive. We'd talked to several asphalt companies over the last year looking to get the drive repaired and due to the local business climate (there is a lot of road construction going on in the area and specialized businesses have WAY more work than they can fill so unless you're showing them a major job 15-20K on up, they simply won't show up since its not worth their time). Jose came out and took a look and provided a quote on the spot and explained what they could and couldn't do and what the outcome would generally be. His crew showed up on time and started the work (which took about a week total to complete from cleaning our drive to finishing the patching work and sealing). They initially finished and there were a few areas that I wasn't thrilled about (although most of it looked quite good) and Jose sent his guys back out to fix those areas same day that I pointed them out to him, no questions asked. Overall we're very satisfied with the work. Only time will tell, frankly, on how well the work they did holds up, but they were professional and affordable and provided a service that we were having a REALLY hard time getting someone to provide (it was a job too big for the smaller companies, but not big enough to be of interest for the major asphalt companies in the area). We will absolutely consider them the next time we need general landscape work like this completed. Overall good value and, most importantly, they actually show up (which is, for some reason, a challenge for WNC it seems). read more
