Can't go too wrong with chicken and veggies and queso. It didn't have any seasoning but it was still decent. Everyone seemed to like their food. I arrived at the height of the busy time and while waiting to be seated was told by several locals that I had made a very good choice. They recommended the Sirloin for Two, I was alone, but got it anyway due to several additional recommendations. Hey, it became THREE steak dinners and they were GREAT! The owner came by and spoke to me, asked how I had located his business, I told him of the restaurant that had given me my dinner options and spoke so highly of his establishment. Unlimited, well stocked salad bar, not just lettuce but interesting and unusual items. Spiced pickles? Yum! I was too full for dessert but others nearby said all desserts are made ON SITE! Many patrons were partaking and the desserts looked good. I plan to return here next time I'm in the area.

This is a great little restaurant off the beaten path.  I have heard of it for years but last night…read morewas my first experience.  The catfish and hushpuppies were great.  Hushpuppies were a little spicy with green flecks of Jalapeno.  Salad bar was small but everything was very good.  Others in our party had steaks and all declared them excellent.  Service was first class, fast and friendly.  We will return.   Bring cash, no credit cards, probably because your cell phone will hardly work, probably no electronic credit card machines either. You'll find plenty of local color here, one of the most interesting is that this is also the site of the community's post office.  You don't get much chances to dine in your local post office.  Might be a great idea nationally if you could replicate their fried catfish. Cell phone reception is pretty poor at this location so you better check your GPS and YELP before you get there as well.  You won't find much about Chewalla, TN, on Google but it has a lot of local history.  When the railroad through nearby Corinth came through around 1857, one of the stops along the way was at Chewalla near the border of Mississippi and Tennessee.  The Chewalla Road was an established trailway which extended back into the time when all of the area was Indian Territory.  It was the path for invading and retreating armies during the Civil War and a battle was fought nearby during this time period.   Sitting right beside the railroad is Jim's Steak and Fish, about a 20 minute leisurely drive from Corinth, MS.  The most direct route coming from nearby Corinth is directly out Wenasoga Road which follows the path of the former Chewalla Road. Address shows Ramer, Tennessee, but actual location is Chewalla, an unincorporated community South of Ramer and North of Corinth, well worth the trip if you can find it.

Menus given and drink orders were taken quickly. We the. Ordered a Margherita pizza and thick bacon for an appetizer. For dinner, lasagna and chicken parm. The starters came and both the pizza and bacon were delicious. The pizza was hot and had a crisp crust and the bacon with the goat cheese was delicious. The main course came and both the lasagna and the chicken parm were cooked perfectly and also delicious. It was nice to get away from Oxford and the Oxford dinner prices at the square: Nico's has delicious food, a really cool old school bar and the pricing is a delight compared to Oxford. I would absolutely recommend Nico's and their great food and servers. I cannot wait to go back next month when I'm back in the area
