While most everyone had different food choices, everyone appeared to enjoy their meal. Although we did get our food, the delivery was a bit slow. Ironically, it was the fish meals that were delivered last. However, the 3-piece Dark of Krispy Krunchy Chicken that I had was fantastic! The chicken arrived hot, and it was moist, spicy, and full of flavor. The legendary "Krunch" was a hit for me. The seasoned fries were also good, but a wee bit cold when they arrived. The rest of our group said their food was good too. Now they also had some good looking desserts, but I was too full to even try them - on this visit, maybe next time. If you're nearby, you may know how good the food tastes. If you don't know or if you're just passing through Bolivar, check them out if you want a good meal.

Considering how expensive everything was, I expected better value and a more positive customer experience. I know this restaurant has plenty of fans, but I found some of the employees to be arrogant and dismissive. In a small town, I usually expect decent food at best--something reheated off a Sysco truck. Instead, this place completely surprised us. The food was outstanding. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We were told the food is prepared fresh daily and the menu can change, which explains a lot. Portions are huge--we actually ended up sharing plates just so we could try more items. Service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and helpful without hovering. The staff was happy to talk about what they've tried on the menu and what they recommend. There's limited outdoor seating, but if the weather cooperates I definitely recommend grabbing a table outside. From what we saw, the inside looked very clean and well kept. This has officially become our new weekend meetup spot. We're already going back this Saturday, and I plan to keep trying something new until I've worked my way through the whole menu. One last thing that meant a lot to me: they allowed me to bring in my sugar-free root beer. Since that's the only beverage I drink, that little bit of flexibility made the experience even better.
